Amanda completely rehabilitated my over-​processed hair. I’ve seen her twice now, and each time I left the salon I felt and looked amazing.
As a professional, she has over ten years experience. Amanda is honest and genuinely cares about the quality of her work. She is intuitive and has a great sense of subtle beauty that I was looking for in a stylist.
Also, she’s a lovely person to talk to.

I think this place is pretty dated — everyone there is friendly, so the atmosphere is fine but you won’t be getting the most current anything here. Its got a midwest feel. If you are looking for younger, hipper– head South to LA. But for trims its ok. I thought their color was really behind the times.

I love this salon! The stylists are great, the décor is super cool, and the service is fantastic. I go to the owner, who I’ve been going to for over 20 years. She absolutely does the best color of anyone I’ve ever gone to. I’m a blonde that requires removing unwanted grey roots and alternating highlights with low lights… not an easy thing to do! (I’ve actually had two other stylists turn my hair green by adding low lights.) I highly recommend this salon to anyone wanting a color treatment or even just a great cut and style.

This is the best salon ever. I used to go to Moxie but they were always so busy I could never get in without a month or so ahead of time.
After not being able to get in at Moxie (last minute date) I came to Posh and it is the best decision ever I will never go back. Amanda is absolutely great and Peggy is so amazing! She cut 8 inches, maybe more and she transformed it into beautiful trendy hair. But not only that! Being a newbie in styling my own hair, I came back the next day and these girls gave me a tutorial on how to make it pretty on my own. Thank you everyone!

Shelby is the best esthetician around! I have been going to Shelby since 2003 (before she worked here). She is so amazing I would follow her anywhere. She makes my brows perfect! I love her micro facial my face looks amazing after! I never have breakouts after the facial (like I have had by others). The products she uses are great for my sensitive skin. I don’t let anyone other than her touch my face. The solan is clean and looks great. It’s a very friendly inviting place to go.

I loved my experience at Posh. I had never been to the studio before and, honestly, I haven’t been to a hair salon in a long time. Amy was super welcoming and treated my five year old like he was a client too. She even took him back to the shampoo area with me and gave him an «inside look» into a girls hair day! The color and ombré was exactly what I had in mind and she gave me curling tips as I told her I never have time to really do my hair. I will definitely be coming back! And to all the haters, most people work really hard to give you great service and kindness goes a long way. Karma, that’s all! Thanks again Amy!

Amanda Scott is beyond great! If you haven’t tried a Keratin blowout, trust Amanda to do the job. She is thoughtful, creative and a fountain of knowledge about style, color and hair health. I hope she never leaves Posh but would follow her wherever she went!

I was referred here by a local venue and they really worked with getting me scheduled in on very short notice for our wedding party.
The problem lies in the techniques of some of the girls. They did such a poor job on 3 of my girls hair out of the 5. One was so flat that she came back to hotel crying and had a friend do her hair. I had unfortunately paid in advanced and sent the pic to the ower (Peggy) and she was unwilling to compensate or discuss any discounts for the crap work that some of the stylist did to the hair. Also, another curled one girl’s hair and then walked away and stated I don’t do updos. She sat there for 30 mins wondering if anything else was gonna get done.
The Bride (me) was pleased with my hair but I am terribly disappointed in the customer service and also the actually lack of professionalism of some of the stylists. Peggy should have done something to make my party happy or further compensated me.
I tipped all the stylist well and paid good money for updos and styles and felt that I was less than satisfied. This experience was a real bummer! Thank GOD for good friends that can do hair.

I was in search of a great hair stylist and I finally found one! Amanda Scott is her name. She is very professional and very good at what she does. After you get your hair cut and or styled, you’ll feel like a million bucks and want to light up the town. Thanks Amanda!

After reading all the wonderful reviews about Amanda, I booked my appointment for a weave. I wanted to go lighter, and my hair was in good condition with a very light partial weave. I knew I could do this, because I have been weaving my hair since 1986! So I know what it can and cannot handle. She lectured me about having «realistic expectations for my hair», and that it would take up to 2 years to go as light as I wanted to? I had booked for a FULL weave. She then touched up the root growth with tiny small blonde streaks on the top, and skipped tons of hair at my back, even around the base of my neckline and this hair was all my natural color so no excuse about breakage! Plus I specifically told her I wanted it to match the top which looked more of a solid blonde. Now, granted I did call to complain, and she fixed it, but told me she would charge me more in the future for this, so I guess if you actually want your entire head done thoroughly when you book a full weave, you are asking for too much.
I used to highlight my sister’s hair with foils, so I watched a YouTube vid from a professional stylist on how to do it to yourself, and wound up doing the entire top and sides by myself, and around my neck! Then I went to our local beauty school in Ventura, and a student did the back where I couldn’t reach. Today, I look awesome! There was zero breakage, and with each toning session using a 20 volume developer, I am almost to the blonde I want. Sorry, but after 30 years of doing this, I know when a beautician is talented, and when they are very average. However in saying this, Amanda is able to go up close to the scalp with her highlights, leaving only about a spaghetti noodle worth of root, and that does take talent, so she gets credit for this because only 1 out of every 5 can do this from my long experience.
I will also add that the beauty school instructor told me my hair was in good condition, and there are ways to go as light as I want that will not cause any breakage (Olaplex comes to mind here for Amanda), but typically stylists like to get you in and out, and not have you sitting around for hours. The school used a 10 vol. developer with bleach, and no heat, very gentle, and after 2 hours of sitting, all of my natural hair, and the low light hair (which was bleached before) was a level 10. Then a light ash toner was applied, and bingo my hair is one more visit away from platinum, and I am a level 6 naturally. Plus it is shiny! If you are looking for someone very talented with highlighting and lightening, look elsewhere.

Just went to Rita for a facial for the first time and my skin looks and feels amazing! Lots of people had told me to go to her and now I see why! It was SO relaxing :) She taught me so much about my skin and used amazing products. Definitely going back soon.

I went in to get an ombré done today and Amy was SUPER nice and did a wonderful job! I’m incredibly happy with how my hair turned out and I will definitely be going here in the future.

Such an adorable salon! It’s clean, beautiful, and efficient. They are always on time and sensitive to how valuable their clients’ time is, too. I’ve gotten wonderful hair cuts and colors several times. They display cute, locally crafted jewelry and have free treats and drinks for all. I love it there!

Amazing! I came in here with a complete disaster from Moxie’s hair salon next door. Black and orange Ombré’. Holly did an incredible job fixing it. This place is elegant, staff was so incredibly nice. I cannot express my gratitude after wearing a hat for over week. I called Posh they immediately booked me, and corrected my hair. Thank you Holly!

If you’re looking for a salon, look no further! This is «your» salon. I’m new to the area and decided to save some money by going to a chain hair place… big mistake. I ended up with the worst haircut of my life. I called in a panic and was able to get in the same day. Holly worked her magic and save the day. She not only fixed my hair but she talked to me about how to get my hair to the point I want it. I can’t express how thankful I am. Holly is amazing!!!

Peggy has been taking care of my hair for 9 years and does an exceptional job. I have had several keratin treatments on my hair over the years and I just love it! People are always complimenting me on my weave too. Peggy is easy to talk to so go in and talk to her about what you want for your hair. She will help you make the best decision!

Amanda does my hair and she is absolutely amazing! I’m from North Carolina and it took me a few hairdressers to find the one who does my hair just right. She uses the best products and has extensive knowledge about good hair quality. If your in the market for a new hairdresser I would definitely recommend Amanda!

I am shocked that this place is so highly rated. I saw the ratings so I decided to give it a try. I walked in and the stylists were hanging about. I smiled at sat down waiting for someone to acknowledge me and no one said a word to me. Several minutes later the receptionist came out. She didn’t say anything to me either. Finally I asked if someone could help me and they all stared at eachother and finally the receptionist said «aren’t you here for waxing?» I said NOPE and walked out. Apparently if you are there for waxing they don’t want to talk to you but they never asked to help me so how would they know. I have never walked out of a hair appointment in my life. This place changed that…

Fantastic cut today by Amanda. It was my first experience here at this location and I will be back.

I love Posh Hair & Skin Studio! It’s such a beautiful salon in downtown Camarillo. My 15 year old daughter and I have been going to Amanda Scott for about 7 years now and have NEVER once been disappointed. She is a fantastic and gifted stylist. She is easy to communicate with about your style, color and cut. I trust her completely and am always more than happy when I leave the salon. I would recommend her to anyone – she has great ideas and many times I have come in not knowing what I want at all and I end up leaving with a fabulous cut. I highly recommend going to Salon Posh and seeing Amanda Scott for your color and cut! We have gone to her for many many years and will continue.
