Traditional American diner food. We had an oreo shake, corn dogs, bacon burger, patty melt, chicken cordon bleu, curly fries, regular fries, and sweet potato fries. Everything was very tasty. Restaurant was clean and had friendly service. Wait time was a little long but that is to be expected; they only cook the food after you order and it was a popular spot.

Great roadtrip stop. Roadside, quick, affordable, lots of familiar options, from somewhat lean to gutbustin’ comfort food. And on the day i stopped in, friendly service, relatively clean, &seasonal decorations. Not a michelin star restaurant but perfect for what it is. Guaranteed to hit the spot.

This was awful and non accommodating, and the cook looked more like the town auto mechanic who flips burgers between oil changes.

Great service, clean facilities, and good food. Just like the sign says, it’s fast food, burgers, fries, dogs, all the standards. But also some tasty surprises, like tacos and Chicken Cordon Bleu. Everything is made fresh to order, with quality ingredients. If you want good food, but don’t have time to sit and wait, give J&J’s a try!

The grease here always taste old and dirty so I try to avoid anything that’s fried. With that being said we don’t eat here much. We come out this way often and try to avoid eating in Caliente all together. There’s not a lot of selection and what’s there is not that good. We save our appetite for ash springs shell gas station! We always stop and get the jalapeño corn dogs and bean and cheese burrito both deep friend in ash springs finest oil! That’s one place we have Never gotten tired from over the years.

I had the Sweet and Spicy fingers(chicken fingers with Thai sweet chili sauce. Pretty good by any standard.(comes with fry bread, coleslaw and fries) I also had a taco which was made with chili meat. By no means mexican but a very nice taco loaded with lettuce, tomatoes and onions. Way better than the usual roadside taco. My wife had a Shrimp Basket that came with friy bread, coleslaw(creamy!) and fries for 6 bucks. Excellent! BTW the fry bread was a biscuit size blob of sweet fried dough that comes with some honey/margarine spread. We went back for a couple of more for 50 cents apiece.

Good food(depending on who’s cooking), & friendly service. You’ve got to try the chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwich, it’s awesome! Also, the caramel hot fudge sundae is delicious.

I stop here everytime I pass through Caliente, NV. Everything Ihave ever eaten there has been good to great. The shakes are fantastic and go down great when it is a 100+ outside.

I always stop at JJ’s when passing through Caliente. A great place to gas up before heading back out on highway 93 through the middle of the desert. What I love is the gas station has the hostess snacks I love that I am not able to get in Vegas. The raspberry filled hostess powdered donuts and hostess blackberry pies yum! The staff is always friendly. Some stuff seems over priced but they did mention that since they are such a teeny tiny town that they have to pay extra to trucks some stuff in. The food prices in the diner area are not bad at all though and the food tastes good.

Stop for a cone of soft serve ice cream on your way through town, other wise pack some sandwiches so you don’t have to have to experiment with the restaurants in Caliente.

It’s a dive fast food place. The food is meh. The place is meh. It’s all meh. The food is edible, but unsatisfying. And you are going to want to rub Purell all over your body after leaving here.

No too bad… I was in the middle of nowhere(and loving it) and found this dirty little joint. I stress dirty. But the burgers weren’t bad. Lots of bacon on the bacon burger — and prices weren’t bad. Bathrooms made me want to wear double latex, however. Ohhhh cowboy

J & J’s does the job right! If you’re in the middle of fucking nowhere(aka Caliente, NV) and you want a little tide-me-over to dinner time, stop in at J & J’s! We had a couple of hot dogs, some fries and an ice tea for $ 4.68. Everything was cooked to order, and the hot dogs had a nice little char from the grill, as did the bun. Other items on the menu include curly fries, onion rings, grilled cheese, burgers, shrimp basket, Philly cheese steaks, ice cream cones and shakes. The joint is run by some nice ladies, who were joined at the counter by their teen-aged daughters a few minutes after the school bus dropped them off. Check it out!
