I walked in, 1pm on a Sunday and the place was moderately filled. Greeted by a lovely waitress named Tina, let me sit anywhere I wanted in the restaurant. The place is decorated very nicely with 50’s novelties from signs to a Betty Boop right at the front door! I had the chicken sandwich on pumpernickel and homemade onion rings– which were both really delicious. However it was the banana milkshake that stole the show. That was hands down the best milkshake I’ve ever had. Along with fast service and very affordable prices, I can’t wait to bring some friends back to check it out.

Very cool 50s style diner. Our food was great and tasted home-made, also the wait time was fairly quick. I would recommend trying their soda fountain phosphates! The owner was very nice and went around to meet with everyone. We will definitely visit again for dinner!

Awesome food, all home cooked. Friendly staff. Relaxed ’50 experience. Well worth the drive to Caledonia.

Stopped in for a bite to eat while looking mainly for some comfort food. Ordered the Elvis, which was basically a fried peanut butter and banana sandwich. It was remarkably small and plain. I ordered some corn bread which was ok. Wife had a veggie burger and fries. Burger was pretty good, heavy with corn, but was most definitely store bought, frozen and then grilled. Fries were ok. Service was really. I’ve and the waitress was super helpful about other things to check out in the area. For a place all about their sofa fountain there’s no mention of it anywhere on their menu.

Reminisce is a fantastic little diner on Main Street in Caledonia. It’s has a wonderful ’50’s diner look and feel both inside and out. The diner opened only 5 days ago, and it is hoppin. I stopped in for lunch today and the place was packed. The owner was there and he was so great. He was friendly and seated me and stopped for a bit to talk. He said that opening a diner like this has been a dream of his for about 20 years, and he finally got his chance to make it happen. The inside has a ton of old 50’s memorabilia, including a working jukebox, and the employee uniforms are great. The guys have to wear a white dress shirt with a red vest, and the women wear colored skirts with a matching scarf. Reminisce is closed on Tuesdays, but they are open Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri from 11AM-8PM, Sat from 8AM-8PM, and Sun from 8AM-6PM. The food is awesome. They serve everything from the typical diner food of sandwiches and burgers to pulled pork and ribs, and they have a great old fashioned ice cream and milkshake bar. On top of all the delicious food, they have insanely low prices. I got a ham and cheese melt with chips for $ 4.59 today, and they have a ½ lb cheeseburger with chips for $ 5.99. My only negative remark with this visit is that the service was a little slow, but that’s to be expected for a new restaurant that is slammed with a full dining room. They just opened up and need to find their groove, so I won’t really ding them on that. There is no outdoor seating yet, but they do plan to offer it in the summer once they figure out a good rhythm. They get two big thumbs up from me, and I will definitely be back.
