This is one of the best family farms that I’ve ever been to. You have to enjoy maple syrup when you’re in Vermont and we had heard that Goodrich’s was the place to visit. This is a family-run farm and the owners spent a lot of time teaching us about the sugaring process and how they run their farm. We were lucky to be visiting on a sugaring day and it was one of the best smells I’ve ever experienced. They also have a syrup tasting area and they darker grade syrups were so much better than anything I’ve had before. To top it off, the owners offered us a sample of local gelato made with their maple syrup and the sample ended up being a ½ cup of gelato, which was just so nice of them. This is a great place to visit and I would go back in a heartbeat!

Small, family run maple farm, with a lot of charm. Don’t expect a huge gift shop with hundreds of maple items, just the good stuff – quality products. I’m so glad we stopped by on our way to Cabot Creamery. This was probably the highlight of our Vermont adventure other than the foliage(Cabot and B&J’s weren’t so great, frankly). The owner was very personable and affable. There was an air of authenticity and pride to the whole operation. We walked out with an assortment of gifts, maple butter, maple sugar, candies, etc. Oh and syrup… oh the syrup…

One of our first stops in the area to check out maple goodness, and definitely one of the best. As has already been mentioned, there weren’t many people there. In fact, there was no one(including employees). It looked like the place had been abandoned, as there were not even any lights on. Once we entered, however, we were greeted warmly and given a very detailed introduction to harvesting and production of maple syrup, along with a good tasting of the various grades of maple syrup. The good thing about not having anyone else there is that you can get plenty of time by yourself to sample the wares!

This is a great little Maple Sugarhouse. When we visited there were not too many other people so we ended up with a private tour of the facility. Compared to other Maple Syrup related stops we made this was the best. The person running the small shop and tour was passionate about what he did. He even gave us a packet of recipes and ideas for maple syrup and maple sugar. Also, the prices for Vermont Maple Syrup were some of the lowest we found on our trip. This was also the only stop that offered us a tasting of different grades of syrup. Note: This is make a great addition to a stop at the Cabot Creamery Visitors Center which is a few miles away.
