Great place to unwind and drive a bucket of balls. I haven’t had a chance to use the range in the winter yet, but have noticed other people that do(they have heated tee boxes). The executive course is small, but fun. The miniature golf course is nice and fun for kids. If your looking for a quick golf fix at a decent price, look no further.

Links of Byron is a golf course and driving range out in the middle of farm country in Byron, just off of Highway 14, maybe fifteen minutes out of Rochester. I haven’t played on the course, but it looks decent. Oh yeah, and they also have mini-golf. I spent my time at the driving range. They have a full range and also an area to practice your short game. One nice feature of the range is that they have heated teeboxes in the winter, so you can practice your swing in the frigid months without being stuck in a golf dome. I didn’t get to use this, however, because I came by in the summer. One slightly puzzling feature about the setup of the driving range is the billboards. The range is right next to the highway, so there are naturally billboards set up to face the road. The thing is, the billboards are *inside* the protective netting that prevents stray balls from deviating out of the range. The result is that there is a billboard with a picture of a baby on it that has several rips as a result of being struck by a good number of golf balls over the days. Maybe someone should have planned this out a little better? It’s not a big deal – I’m not an advertiser, so what do I care the shape a billboard is in? – but it does give you something to ponder as you work on your swing. I will update once I get a a chance to play the course. I saw a sign there that said you can«test drive The Links» for thirty days. The price was $ 45 for unlimited golf and $ 45 for unlimited cart. Not sure if this was a limited-time deal or if they do this all the time.
