Having eaten at Capri before I was anxious to try this carry out location. They have a pretty good lunch deal for pizza. 2 huge slices and a can of soda for 5 bucks. Guy even heated up the slices in the oven for me. Pizza was ok. I’ve had better, I’ve had worse.

We were visitors from the middle-of-nowhere Ohio to the Chicagoland area briefly overnight at a Willowbrook motel that had the Capri Express carry-out /delivery menu. My husband was excited when he found clams on the menu. Y’cain’t get them from here in the middle-of-nowhere Ohio — not served by any restaurant within 100 miles and not even available for home prep from any grocery chain that serves southeastern Ohio. He ordered Capri Express steamed clams and also linguini with clams and was THRILLED with the food delivered not only quickly but piping hot. In a word: EXCEPTIONAL!

I went to Capri Express this weekend for the first time and it was awesome! We picked up a pizza, and some homemade rigatoni with vodka sauce. The pizza was very good and the pasta was excellent. Homemade rigatoni is the way to go! I will definitely be back and even better they deliver! I am looking forward to coming back and trying the other dishes they offer.

This is an update to my previous review. I knew it could get better! I re-visited the Express location at lunchtime, and was impressed with two things; A) The place was packed with happy customers and; B) this time, my food — my lunch — was excellent — superb. I recommend the Chicken Parmesan sandwich. The generous portion of chicken was moist. The herbed breading was perfectly crisp and full of flavor that lingered in your mouth, there was just enough sauce and the bread was heavenly fresh. Oh yes — this sandwich is to die for because we groaned as we ate it. I also had a bow tie pasta dish with Italian sausage, generous amounts of spinach and olive oil. OMgoodness was it delicious. The chicken cacciatore is also a recommended meal. The chicken was moist, tender, covered with marinara sauce and flavored with crisp green peppers and onions. Just delicious. This time the marinara sauce was not salty and perfectly spiced with herbs. A definite improvement over my first visit. For dessert I was offered Tiramisu which was light, perfectly flavored with rum and accented with light fluffy whipped cream. The Cannoli dessert was also very good. On a less positive note, the small garden salad offered with my lunch was boring and needs improvement. For an Italian restaurant offering salad, I recommend cutting back on the tomatoes, adding olives, thin slices of sweet onion, pepperoncini slices(Mezzetta has an excellent line of deli sliced pepperoncini), a bit of cheese whether it be Parmesan or Romano, and CROUTONS! I really missed the croutons and added my own here at home. The vinaigrette dressing was sour and watery thin. Vinegar water with no oil. If you don’t like sour water, ask for an alternate dressing such as standard Italian. I will go back again because I want to try several other dishes that are offered on their menu. Yes, I will be back. Thanks Phil!

This is a fun way to enjoy a great Italian meal. It’s hard to impress me when it comes to any Italian Ristorante. To me heavy on the garlic does not make it authentic. Altogether, worth the drive and especially in the summer on a night when you can done outdoors on the terrace. Well done.

I stop in for lunch occasionally. Always get the 2 slices and a can of soda for $ 5. I had thought the pizza was just ‘ok’, but recently I started asking them to toss it in the oven for a minute. Really improved by the extra heating. It is always a quick, easy and friendly place to go for a quick lunch.

One of my favorite restaurants when I’m in town, Capri has everything. Located at the corner of a strip mall this little Italian find is consistently great with awesome food and service. Head to the right and there is a little bar for people to hang out and watch some sports and just relax after work. There is a large eating area in the middle and yet even more seating as you move to the end and head over to the left. Capri is a great place for business gatherings as they take reservations and are always willing to serve some great food at a great pace. Thanks to Unilocal,I had a free check in offer for some bruschetta calabrese and followed it up with some kind of delicious chicken soup with egg and tortellini in it. Just a great warm up for the freezing cold outside. I got the Linguine with shrimp and marinara tonight. I have to say it was absolutely amazing in it’s simplicity and purity. The shrimp were plump and huge which complimented the linguine which was perfectly cooked. The marinara sauce was very well put together and was not overly heavy or saturated. This is the thing about Capri that I really appreciate. Over anything else, it is the balance in the food, in the timing. I realized tonight that whenever I have a chance to go there, I always leave happy and feel great about what I had. Highly recommend.

I was granted a chance to try this little place free of charge. The pizza dough is awesome(you can never screw up a sourdough). The pizza is great fresh but I wouldn’t recommend it cold or re-heated; it didn’t hold up too well. The staff was very attentive & fast & they offer catering. Maybe next time I can try something more than just a cheese pizza. It’s worth checking out!

Thank you for stepping up your delivery. We were ordering pizza at least once a week and we were about to bail. Quality was lacking… the driver must’ve been puffing hard and making turns just the same as pizza was arriving with the cheese half off the crust all slidely off. Seriously. Your pizza is fantastic and I was tired of picking it up; but it was the only way I was going to get the cheesy goodness on-top of fantastic sauce and crispy crust. Whatever you’ve done… keep it up. Got the best pizza since we’ve been getting from you. The guy with the alabaster(sure, ok, ‘white’) jeep. Yep. He knows how to deliver a quality product.

Stopped in for lunch on a business trip, Chicken Caesar salad was ten bucks. Chicken cubes were ok, salad dressing was not very good at all – very vinegar-y and generic tasting. Caesar salads from Panera Bread are much better in my opinion(and cheaper). They also had a bunch of New York-style pizzas drying under heatlamps, but I did not try any of those. Probably would skip it next time.

Im upgrading my review from 3stars to 4stars. I have become a regular at Capri Express and come to like their pizza more(b the chicken marsala remains the best menu item). The customer service at Capri Express is friendly and there is always enough staff to handle lines of customers at lunch.

Came here with a friend for a quick lunch while I was in from out of town, and was super excited to see a place that was so proud of being«Chicago». Signed pictures on the wall with staff and big Chicago sports stars, tons of good food items, and great specials. It’s a VERY small little place, mostly made to be a walk in and carry-out place. I was told I had to try a slice of pizza, and I hadn’t had a good Italian Beef in a while, so I needed one of those, too. The pizza… Meh. Tasted like it had been sitting under a heater for an hour(which, honestly, it probably was), and had the consistency of a piece of cardboard. Not impressed. Next, I dig into the beef, which looked very good. The bread on the beef was great. Nice and warm, and a great taste. The beef, however, was lukewarm. After a couple bites, almost cold. I even told my friend, «Hmmmmm… Maybe this is just their ‘take’ on Italian Beef? Or maybe they serve it cold at lunch like a sandwich?». Nah. My last two bites of the sandwich, somehow, were piping hot, so obviously the whole thing should have been. I know what you’re probably thinking… If it was wrong, I should have said something. I, as well as many other people, don’t like to be complainers the first time trying something at a restaurant, so I finished my meal, and left. The only major positive to this place was that the staff was INSANELY friendly and accommodating. I’d go back and try this place again if I were in the area because of how nice they were, with the hopes that the food would be better next time.

The customer service here is actually really awesome! The guys are always smiling and always really nice. I usually get their pizza which is on thin crust but I’ve recently tried their bruschetta calabrese and it was divine. I never thought 4 ingredients mixed together could be so delicious. I’ve also, in the past, have had some of their pastas. I’ve tried the cavatelli with vodka sauce. So creamy and thick. I loved every bite. They also have a pasta with bacon bites and peas, the name currently slipped my mind, and it’s just as yummy! The pastas are creamy and always full of flavor. They do catering so I would highly recommend ordering from them!

I ordered delivery through the GrubHub app. I had mixed seafood pasta – The shrimp and calamari were so overcooked they were hard to eat. The mussels and clams tasted strange and had a horrible grainy texture. One half hour after eating a small amount of the entrée I was laying on my couch with cold chills and sweats. I have had very nice food in the restaurant before – if they don’t know how to deliver decent food they should stop!

The food was good here, but the interior seemed alittle small… like it was(and I think he did mention) that it was more for carry out… and under the name there were a coupl of different food establishments also. Staff was friendly and it is inside a strip mall so parking looked full but there was a few spots open.

This place is very small with a bar and stools and some tables out on the sidewalk. But the food is excellent and the service is friendly. Went to go use my groupon and was pleasantly surprised. I’ve always heard the full service Capri was good, this place is good too. They had three pies out in the front that were irresistible. So I got a slice of pepperoni, actually, when you order a slice, it’s really TWO slices. The pizza was deelish. Very NYC style versus Chicago style. We also ordered fettucini alfredo and pasta carbonara. The fettucini we were able to get lunch portions of, but the carbonara was dinner sized, so it came with a salad. They gave us plenty of bread to go with the meal. Great italian food, I will certainly go back for take out. They do deliver too. Oh and they offer gelato, next time!
