Almost 40 years ago, I received two arm chairs from the Board Conference Room of the General Electric Corporation. My dad worked at GE in Schenectady, and the Board Room was being repurposed due to the move of Company HQ to Connecticut, so he picked up chairs for all of us kids, and he and my Mom covered over the worn leather with fabric upholstery. I asked the experts at Ackerman’s to restore the chairs. I could not be happier with their fine work. The craftspeople at Ackerman’s took the chairs down to their beautiful frames, rebuilt them from the frames up, and covered them with leather. The chairs are both beautiful to look at and a joy to sit in. I highly recommend trusting your furniture work to these fine professionals. The result is well worth the price.
