Dunkin Donuts is your typical generic chain shop. The plus about this shop is that the donuts are fresh. The thing that bothers me the most about this place is that it was one of the first places I saw tip jar for what amounts to service from a cashier that fetches donuts and places them in a box. Yes, they may fetch coffee from a machine, too. Look, I have some respect for people that work this type of job. I worked retail in my younger days. But tips for this type of work? That’s the stuff that drives a guy like me away. Hell, I don’t even tip at Starbucks. Decent coffee for a town without a Starbucks. But that tip jar bothers me enough that I can just make my own coffee. As for the donuts, I don’t really touch the stuff anyway. I will not be going back. Just not my thing.
