OK, so Storm’s used to RULE the small town Central Texas landscape well before the days of Sonic. So what happenned? On this particular day, the food was really off for us. While my Club sammy was very good — the nachos were acceptable, as were the tots. The hamburger = terrible. The THIN patty that was overcooked and just unacceptable. Store Manager; you have the technology — and you can do this. You need to keep your standards HIGH and expect more of your cooks — as the service with a smile can only take you so far.

Another out of the way hamburger joint that you must try if you get a chance. The Storm Special with tots us the best. The people are friendly and the atmosphere quiet. Try some when you visit Austin.

Had been to the other locations and had good service and food. This location had neither. It took 45 min to get the food at the dive up. They forgot the desert which we realized and we were back in the road. Recommend going to the other locations.

After a late night we decided to forgo dinner at home and try out Storms. It was our first visit since moving into town. We were thoroughly impressed. My husband and I both got the Storms Special and seriously folks, the burger was amazing. The fries were also delicious. I was a little disappointed that there weren’t more fries, however the size of the burger well made up for it. My husband ordered the spicy curly fries, and while there wasn’t anything wrong with them he did say that next time he will get the regular ones instead of paying the extra(why pay extra when the regular ones are as good as they are?). The crushed ice with the soda is always a plus. Also, our cashier was super nice and helpful when trying to decide what to order. We will definitely be going back!

Good greasy spoon. Great burgers and chicken fried steak. Somewhat $$$. It’s small inside so seating is limited but the food more than makes up for it. We loved it and will stop by again when we roll through town.

This place was so so. The food seemed like a bunch of pre-packaged stuff. The French fries were all bubbly and had an after taste. If your hungry and nothing else is open, go here. Inside dining area is way outdated.

Good burger not greasy, bun was fresh, I asked for no onions and there were none, tater tots where cooked great not greasy lightly salted, Dr. Pepper was in a cup of crushed ice which was perfect. The meal was good, thumbs up.

Hot greasy burgers & fries. Can’t complain! Only been here once. It was good! I usually go to the one in Lampasas. This one is about the same. I like the small town feel. Thanks Storms!

Alright, went to Storms per«The Best Places to Grab a Burger in Texas» article, blog or whatever the hell its called. Storms is #2 on the list & a #1 disappointment. The Storm Special is a $ 6.99 half pounder with hand-cut fries but can be subbed for tater tots for a $.50 charge. I basically paid for a dozen or so Ore Ida tots. Add $ 1.69 for the small drink & I was out $ 9.94. The burger was 3 skinny ass pre-formed patties on a sad barely toasted bun with a hint(maybe) of mustard with a thin slice of a small tomato. Oh, wait, there were two slices of tomato. My mistake. They were cut so dang thin I missed the other one. Anyway, the bun was toasted but to no avail; hardly any taste to it. What it could’ve added to the burger was lost in the bun being so damn FLAT. My goodness, it reminded me of a panini. They don’t serve those here, right? Ok, just checking. Just to remind me how sad looking was my burger I took photos but I can’t seem to upload any to prove to y’all how bad was my experience. The only thing committed to memory is how BAD and emaciated the burger looked. Really?! Three thin patties? It eludes me how small places like this can make $$$ serving such drivel. Maybe it is as simple as «a lack of options» in the area. Either that or Central Texans have no idea what in the hell makes a great Classic burger. Along with Storm’s I have paid a visit to Crow’s Burger Shop in Belton so my opinion borders on the latter. My goodness, the attendant who took my order, when asked what makes this place so great replied, «Well, you’re here because we’re the BEST»! Like I said earlier — it’s a lack of options. Or maybe her boss was listening. With a name like Storm’s I expected more in the form of a culinary flood — at least as far as hamburger joints are concerned. This place should be renamed Drizzle. Pass this place up. Spend your $$$ elsewhere. It’s overrated AND overpriced! Poor taste, poor value & the place needed a decent cleaning.

This is the worst hamburger I have ever had. If you like all bread and no meat burgers, this is the place for you. Extremely thin patty, with a large bun. Storms, where’s the beef? Missing, and it doesn’t taste like a fresh, hand patted burger either. I am not sure why some people put good reviews up on this place. I am wondering if these people have ever had a real hamburger?

My girlfriend and I always stop here on the way home from camping in Colorado Bend State Park(we live in San Antonio). Not sure if it’s just us being so hungry from hiking, the tradition, or what, but we love it every time we stop here. I’ve tried a different burger every time and have enjoyed them all. If you’re looking for a sourdough burger that resembles the Jack in the Box sourdough burger, don’t order their’s. At Storm’s the sourdough burger is more like a roll burger. You can’t miss with the premium sides. Fried pickles, fried cheese, fried jalapenos. They are all good especially when you feel like you earned them with a 7 mile hike at CBSP. I sure wish they had one in San Antonio. Then again I may end up there too often to stay healthy.

Let me start by saying STORMS in burnet ISTHEBOMB! I have experienced almost all Austin has to offer as far as local burger joints, fast food garbage, as well as food truck gems. I’ve passed by storms hundreds of times while visiting my extended family in Burnet and every single time i cruised by the burger establishment always wondering(aside from wondering why their sign resembles thunderclouds sub’s sign) if storms was any good. after several years of driving by, unsure, i finally stopped. MYNEWFAVORITEBURGERJOINT… As much as i try to avoid that part of Cent.Tex. i find myself encouraging my gf to visit her family(who by coincidence happened to be from there) just so we can go get some STORMS. she says the burnet location is better than marble fall’s
