Terrible experiences on multiple visits. Staff were not helpful and even rude at times. Manager was arrogant and egotistical. Worst customer service I've ever seen. I ended up taking all of my business elsewhere(Bellingham). As if that weren't enough, basically everything in here is overpriced and can be found elsewhere in the state much cheaper. I would even travel out of state to purchase before I return here. Would not recommend to anyone. Save yourself the hassle and money and go ANYWHERE else besides here.

Yesterday, I took an older gun in that needed a screw removed so that I could put a different scope on it. They were very friendly and more than helpful. Took three guns (one did not have a scope) in this morning to have the scopes switched around for hunting season. They were great and knowledgeable. Even though the store has a lot of merchandise, when I asked for an item, that knew exactly where it was. Great place to shop and great people.

I have bought three firearms from here and had nothing but positive experiences. The best part is they have always been willing to negotiate on price. I recently bought a Smith and Wesson 340 PD, which was a special order, and after telling me their asking price they were willing to come down almost $ 140 which was $ 140 cheaper than Yeagers or any online retailer I could find. After placing the order it showed up two days later. It was the same story with a 500 Magnum I ordered through them. I have been doing business with them for about four years now and I don’t plan to go anywhere else.

Is some of the items over priced? Sure. You can find that in any store and everyone knows that something is only worth what somebody is willing to pay for it.
The service was decent. I have had better service at the local Dicks Sporting Goods however.
I am sure like with any small business if you are a local or they see you regularly then the pricing and how you are treated is subject to change.
They are convenient for me to drop by when I am on my lunch break from work but there is a shop in Bellingham that is simply better all around.

I went to Skagit Arms on the recommendation of a friend. I’ve been looking for an AR15 for awhile. When I went in I was initially ignored until I told someone I was looking to buy a rifle. The first guy I talked to pulled out the most expensive one they had. When I said I did not want to pay that much he lost interest in helping me. Instead of finding the best fit for me he just put the gun back and left me standing there at the counter. I continued to browse and a different guy came around. I asked him if he wanted to sell me a rifle. He was knowledgeable and pulled down several good quality pieces until I found one that fit not only my price range but everything else as well. The staff wasn’t to friendly at first but warmed up when I told the salesman I was there to buy… go figure.

I’ve been in multiple times in the past two years and even though they always seem busy they seem ready to help you find whatever you’re looking for.
What I’m MOST IMPRESSED WITH is their ability to GET 5.7×28mm ammo. In the year and a half that I’ve owned my FN FiveseveN, I’ve only been able to find ammo in one other shop. What most impressed me was that they held a phone order for 500 rounds for me for a week, until I traveled the 225 miles from my hometown of Vancouver, WA to Sedro Woolley to visit family. It was all boxed up and ready for me when I arrived.
Additionally I’ve always been able to purchase 9 mm and either .223 or 5.56 when I visit, unlike the many outages I face back home. Seem to have lots of guns and ammo and always friendly. I only wish they were located nearer my home.

I went in there looking for a 22lr, but walked out with more. The help was awesome, they set up my firearm, sighted it in, helped out with questions, even helped me to the car with my purchases. The next time I went in there I was looking for something more specific and of lower inventory around town. I got lots of help and suggestions for what I was looking for, I wasn’t even buying and still felt like the service was great. If they can keep the inventory up, I will drive an hour to do business with them, rather then the other «gun shop» that is closer to home.
If you go in the store and just browse they don’t jump on you and let you go about browsing, as they stay pretty busy helping customers that are buying or ask for help.
Ammo inventory is better then almost anywhere else.
Good reviews always seem to have less of a story, but hope you guys find mine helpful.

Bought 5+ guns from Skagit Arms and every time been greeted and treated well. They have a good selection and decent prices. I have not had any issues with any of the guns I have gotten there so can not comment on how they are if you do have a problem with a gun. The thing that I like most is that they are not trying to steer you into a gun they like. I bought a Remington 700 there yesterday and could tell that the person there was a fan of some other options, however I knew what I wanted and he offered other options but did into push at something that I knew that I did not want. At other stores if you run into a Glock guy, or a Sig guy that will tell you it is the best brand/​type even if its not what you are looking for, here they seem to give their opinion however not look at you are stupid if yours differ.
Pros–
–Treat you as a buyer, even if you are just looking
–Greet you at the counter and ask if they can answer questions.
Cons–
— The place is so stuffed with stuff it seems cluttered– they need more space. This is kind of a non issue however think that if they had more room it would run smoother.

Service couldve been better, friend and i stood in store more maybe 10 minutes and was never once offered help before those who walked up after us. wasnt until we were ready to walk out the door that an employee offered any assistance. Besides that, we were impressed by selection of ammo, firearms and accessories. Hopefully next time we return we can supply a better review!
