Paint & Sip at Butch & Babe’s!

Paint and Sip at a brand new restaurant– need I say more?!
I found the atmosphere, fun, relaxed, and enjoyable. I really liked meeting Sue and becoming familiar with her expertise and teaching style. I didn’t think my painting would come out to look like anything and well, Sue makes miracles!
So happy for the opportunity to attend this fun event!

Had such an excellent time painting with my glass of wine. This was my first Unilocal Elite Event in the Vermont area so I was so happy I had time to attend one finally! It was a huge blast.
Parking was easy — just park on the street or their little side parking lot. The restaurant was also easy to find.
Heidi welcomed us as we entered — it was so great to finally meet her after getting all of her invitations to Unilocal events. We checked in, hung up our coats, and got seated. I brought my roommate to this event because I figured we could use the paintings for our apartment.
Sue was the painting instructor from a Taste of Art and was a phenomenal teacher. She made it fun and easy to learn. We started out very simple by making outlines of everything and then moved onto the sky and then the trees in the background. There was a lot of artistic freedom and it was so cool to see what people were adding/​painting: dogs, red and white barns, sheep, fences, and more!
Definitely had a blast and would totally come to check out Butch and Babes at a later date. I think my roommate wants to have his birthday celebration in March. So we are definitely going to be coming back!
The restaurant owner was really nice and welcoming. For being opened for about a month, the place seemed really well put together. Can’t wait to try their food now with more friends and great company!

A wonderful evening full of laughter, abstraction, wine and paint! Ever since hearing about ‘paint and sip’ style art offerings I’ve been dying to give it a try — and thanks to Unilocal (and our awesome community ambassador, Heidi C.) I had the opportunity to do just that. And as always, rising above expectations, the event was hosted at the recently opened Butch & Babes restaurant in the Old North End. Our art instructor, Sue, provided us with all the materials and most importantly the expertise, instruction, and positive reinforcement needed for a truly successful event. B&B provided light appetizers and a round of drinks to accompany the two hour painting session — the perfect amount of sustenance to fuel a two hour painting session. I would certainly encourage anyone to give the sip and paint style classes a try (Sue does private painting events as well as slightly larger groups) it’s a great way to get creative, un-​wine-​d, and have some art to take home (or give as a gift) at the end of the evening! Big thanks to Heidi for making the event a reality, B&B for hosting and providing food and drink, and to Sue for giving us the power to make a barn landscape come to life on canvas :)

The painting class was incredible: very we’ll choreographed and taught.
Try the Brussels sprouts, dumplings and more at butch and babes. What a fun cozy spot. Definitely a good date night with anyone kind of place.

Had a blast channeling my inner-​artist! Sue did a great job providing instruction and encouragement! I loved seeing how we could all be painting the same thing, but creating such unique and individual depictions.
The snacks and wine were great too! Really makes me want to give Butch & Babes a try for a full meal. I’m sure I’ll be back soon.
