Growing up in NY and NJ, I have been blessed with an overabundance of excellent bagels. Yet with this blessing comes the dreadful curse that no bagel outside the NY metro area could ever compare. I’ve had bagels in Florida(blech), Chicago(ehhh), Puerto Rico(no thanks) with no luck. With that being said: I introduce you to Feldman’s Bagels in Burlington, VT. I have been coming to this city for over 30 years with the better of bagels at Bruegger’s which was no comparison to local establishments in NYC, but Feldman’s is a welcomed site. The staff are friendly and the eating area is clean with nice paintings hung for all to see. Enjoy… Yums!!!

Much better this time! Definitely hotter coffee and I really appreciate the fresh ingredients and friendly service. The owner was nice enough to reach out and offer a free sandwich when I had a less-than-stellar experience earlier this year, which was wonderful of him and I should have taken him up on it sooner. Good people and good food!!!

We wanted to get breakfast at a place nearby but they were out of eggs on a Saturday morning. GUH! Almost in tears and on the verge of screaming at each other out of denied-breakfast-anguish, my mom, Andrew, and I spotted Feldman’s from the car and decided to give it a try. We were very satisfied! They have a small but well-executed variety of breakfast and non-breakfasty bagel sandwiches(they let me add a fried egg to a BLAT), the coffee is good, and though the shop was small, there was no shortage of seating. I still don’t understand why they gave us an order number and then proceeded to call out our order not with the number but thusly: «blatonaneverything veggieonpoppy and loxongarlicforhere» but now I’m just being nitpicky. Infinitely preferable to Bruegger’s greasy fare. We shall return!

They don’t hold a candle to Myers but the bagels are pretty decent. The bialys are what stand out for me, delicious!

Best bagel shop in town. They’ve got a great menu that is pretty straight up. They don’t mess around with asiago, dill or raisin stuff. The bagels are the perfect size and are perfectly chewy. Everything is my favorite. It’s got salt on it and I think it’s a nice touch. Another nice touch is that they hit it with butter after it’s toasted. I don’t need the butter but no way am I going to tell them to stop. And I love that the bathrooms aren’t gendered. A huge pet peeve of mine is when a business has single stall bathrooms that are designated as Men and Women. I’ll use whichever is open first but it freaks people out when I come out of the«wrong» one. So thanks for not messing around with that nonsense.

I’ve had lunch here a few times and it’s always great! I usually get a turkey, provolone, lettuce, tomato and mayo on plain bagel sandwich. There’s plenty of seating, friendly staff, and a really nice place to have lunch.

I used to pick up bagels on each of my NYC trip, but I don’t need to do that anymore. Feldman’s is the closest thing I have found to NYC bagels. I’ve tried the different brands of bagels that are available through Hunger Mountain Food Coop, City Market, Burlington Bagel, etc. I wouldn’t compare these the Myer’s Bagel… Montréal Style Bagels are a totally different beast(also delicious). Feldman’s is about 1.3 miles from my office, and it’s totally worth the walk! I’ve also gotten their whitefish bagel sandwich and matzo ball soup.

Would you want to eat out of a used shoebox? Of course not. That’s why I like Feldman’s. If you are looking at Feldman’s from Cumberland Farms and are thinking of eating some s***ty danish or pre-made something from Cumby’s, just don’t. This place is clean clean clean. I would eat off the counters if they let me. The staff are friendly, the food is great. I mean, it’s tough to mess up a bagel-based breakfast, but businesses somehow manage to do this. Feldman’s is just a nice place to grab breakfast or a light lunch. What you see is what you get. There is no variation in coffee, however, but like I said. Simple. Do not overlook in lieu of Myer’s or Skinny Pancake… you won’t be disappointed!

Best bagels in town in my opinion. Bagel dogs are made on Thursday and they’re really good, and even better dipping them in mustard. Their turkey sandwich with cranberry cream cheese is to die for! The staff is friendly, the food is fresh, and the sign has some funny stuff on it sometimes which makes me smile! Can’t ask for more.

Feldman’s is the perfect Burlington Bagel. I know there are fan bases for every local bagel place in the area, and with that knowledge I am very much a fan of Feldman’s. After trying the other area bagels in the area for years, Feldman’s arrival was no surprise. The real surprise was the taste and texture of the bagels. They are markedly different from the other area bagels. The bagels here seem to be the definitive bagel that I have always wished for. The bagels are true bagels — much like bagels available in other much larger eastern seaboard cities. Please be sure to stop in here and first try a bagel with some cream cheese before branching out into sandwiches or other more adventurous combos.

Had a very yummy #3 toasted bagel with tuna, scallion cream cheese, sliced carrots, and sprouts. Paired with 2 dill pickles, matzo ball soup(a little on the plain side), chips, and Vermont apple cider. Worth a visit.

Living in the epicenter of bagels, I know a good bagel when I taste one and Feldman’s lives up to that standard. Excellent bagel sandwiches — particularly the bacon egg and cheese, and the the turkey with cheddar, apple, lettuce and cranberry mayo! Try to stop in here on all my trips to Burlington.

I’ve visited Feldman’s twice. The first experience was quite poor: the food was OK but the prices were high. In fact, I was charged separately for the lettuce and tomato that was added to my BLT. I wasn’t sure exactly how to react to that. (Note: Feldman’s contacted me and let me know that my experience paying extra for the L and T of a BLT was a mistake. They only charge per-veggie when you order a custom sandwich. It means a lot to me when a local business takes the time to contact people about their reviews with a very positive and constructive attitude. It was an easy decision to revise my review.) The second visit was better. I stuck with a bagel and cream cheese. The prices are definitely still higher than I’d expect. The building is very clean with plenty of seating. There some options I prefer within just a couple miles but Feldman’s is worth a visit if you are on Pine St.

Excellent bagels. I am from boston, spent time in nyc, and live in los angeles and i know my bagels. So good my mother wanted to bring some back to boston. Great selection of flavors. I had the everything. Crusty on the outside and chewy inside. Yummy. Relatively inexpensive. Much better bsgels than i get in lis angeles. I will be back the next time i visit my brother.

Originally written and posted from a duplicate on 5÷3÷2013: The bagels are the real deal and it’s the only place that offers bialys. I was impressed as they got it right from the start. The staff is friendly. It just reminds me of my hometown in Lower East Side Manhattan with authentic NY style bagels. If you didn’t eat a NY style bagel in NY from a Jewish bakery or eat a H&H bagel, you have not eaten a real bagel or a bialy. Update: I go here less frequently, maybe every few months, because the bagels are okay but not as good as the owner’s previous shop called Burlington Bagel Bakery & Café in South Burlington. I go into Feldman’s if I don’t want to travel far for a bagel.

The bagel was so small we laughed and made jokes about it. It was a tasty small bagel though

Feldman’s has, hands down, THE best bagels that I’ve ever eaten. Always perfectly made, yummy cream cheese, and amazing mouth watering breakfast sammies. If you ever get a chance to eat a Feldman’s tuna sandwich on a salt bagel, you will not regret it! Plus, the best people work here. They’re the friendliest and most curteous people that I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with in Burlington. I love this place!

Mainly a bagel and coffee place, there is a small menu for sandwiches but for the price, I wouldn’t recommend getting a breakfast sandwich here. If you’re coming here for breakfast definitely try out the medium selection of interesting bagel and cream cheese fillings. The size if the bagels is roughly medium size, which for me was kind of disappointing. I got the pumpernickel bagel with walnut honey cream cheese filling, it was tasty but wasn’t exactly delicious. Coffee is of standard taste. I recommend going here for an easy breakfast date with someone since the ambiance is great, lots of lighting, and there’s a place for dogs outside, but that’s about it.

As a baker I got exactly what I wanted from here. Not a supersized 5000 calorie breakfast. A quality bagel, made from scratch, dough made in house. I like that they have a small menu and don’t try to be something other than a bagel place. The coffee, I like Vermont Coffee Company, and it tastes like theirs. A bagel with cream cheese and a coffee was under $ 5. Doing it right since the 80’s. I wish I was the owner!

Great quality and service. Unfortunately it feels that they are tailored for take out despite having plenty of seating. They wrap your bagels and give you tiny bagel sized paper plates if you ask to sit down. This is not a restaurant that you want to go to with friends and enjoy breakfast together but for a quick bagel, they are the best in town.
