We had lunch after a funeral. 3 choices. Salmon was very good. Nice place for lunch. Nice view.

Yup! They are closed!!! I called the telephone number(sometimes, they will reopen under new management) and SOMEONEANSWERED the phone, saying«Café Gallery» but they are still closed. I wanted to ask why their phone # is still on and why they don’t have an automated answer, but the lady hung up.

Café Gallery has closed its doors after many years, due to lack of customers. We enjoyed eating there, but they never changed their menu.

We were visiting NJ to pick up some geocaches… and step foot in the state so I could check it off my list(my first time the NJ). Found this place on Unilocal and really enjoyed it! Lunch prices were extremely reasonable, and the food was great. This place also has a great view of the river. Service was great. A wonderful gem!

Completely pleasant and adequate. The location is beautiful — views of the park and river — and the food is just fine. I would almost describe the food as comfort food — it’s not culinarily spectacular, but one feels cozy and happy and full having eaten it. Our service was good and the wine list has some very decent selections.

We were taking a roadtrip to Massachusetts, and had checked in to a cute bed and breakfast. The owner of the B&B referred us here for dinner and even made a reservation. First of all, as soon as we walked inside, the building smelled of urine! The place even looked like a cross between a hospital and retirement home. The napkin was stained, there were flies, and the menu was covered in food. I’m not one to ever make bad reviews, in fact, I don’t usually make reviews, but this place was bad from the get-go. It was so bad, I had to write about it! Service was horrible; we waited 15 minutes just to be asked our order and there were only two other tables. Food was even worse! I could have eaten at 7 – 11 or Taco Bell, spent less money and actually enjoyed the food! A taco bell would have been fine dining in comparison to this place. My husband ordered a spinach and apricot salad and there was, literally, a fourth cup of spinach and five pieces of apricot that made up the salad! My pasta tasted like someone had poored sugar on it. It was shrimp linguini! You can’t really mess up shrimp linguinni! I wanted to leave as soon as we stepped inside, but since someone was kind and made a reservation for us, I felt like it would be nice to stay… Afterwards, I checked on Unilocal and was surprised to see that people actually gave this place good ratings. My husband and I left scratching our heads as to how this place could even manage to stay open! It is still a mystery to us both… If you are from out of town and need some food, just go to a familiar place.

I have special dietary requirements due to celiac disease and although they do not have a gluten free menu, the chef, waiter and owner went out of their way to make sure I had a meal that was gluten free, safe and delicious! Thank you so much for your patience and understanding. I would definitely dine here again.

Returned for a second trip scenery was great for outside views… the food mediocre guess the chef was off today. And now I will never go back. It was that bad.

This is one of the very few restaurants where you dine rather than eat. We have been to this restaurant about twice a year and they never fail to impress with regards to service and food! Our waiter, Sergin, was able to anticipate when to refill wine and water glasses as well as when to remove our plates. I had the trout in an almond butter which was accompanied by jasmine infused rice. As an added bonus it was placed on a croissant in the shape of a fish(what better way to soak up all of the juices from the almond butter and the trout. The basil salad with the mozzerella and tomato was excellent! Everyone enjoyed everything especially pumpkin cheesecake for desert which was described as being as light as a feather!

I tried to like it here, but calling our meal mediocre would be a compliment. And the service was despisable. I’d rather eat airplane food. Not kidding. AVOIDAVOIDAVOID.

Do you have to feed large amounts of people in a beautiful riverside setting? Are some of those people vegetarians? Are some of those people older relations who’s idea of adventurous eating is a good old American shrimp cocktail? Café Gallery can help you keep everyone happy with it’s traditional menu and accommodating staff. A nice selection of art too.

Very good food. Lovely view of the Delaware river. Efficient service. Sunday brunch is mostly lunch/dinner items except Eggs Benedict. Don’t come looking for omelets or bacon. Bar opens at noon.

Beautiful Scenic views of the Beautiful part of the Delaware River in the Historic Town of Burlington, NJ. This romantic restaurant boasts it’s upstairs art gallery, special events, and a Sunday Brunch to die for. I haven’t tried the Sunday Brunch but will do in the near future. The Service is Excellent and the food is Very Good! To Start we shared the Mussels which were very good. I had a spicy scallop bisque the was very, very good! The Duck in the Orange Sauce was very good. My guest had the Shrimps with Pasta and she was very content. I’m very anxious to try their Sunday Brunch. The Service was very attentive. I’ll be back! Right in front of the Restaurant there’s a popular park that hosts weekly events including top name artists such as Spyro Gyra! Reservations ARE suggested.

This is truly a toss up between one and two stars. I have been here several times, and each time seems to get worse. I know what you must be thinking — why go back? Well, there are few options in the area for lunch — so it is a necessary evil. This place needs a paint job more than the Ben Franklin bridge. The service is usually bad, and the food is usually mediocre — but in recent months they have really let things go. Even the plants inside the place were nearly dead. Its a great location with pleasant views and if only they would fix up the interior and improve the service and update the menu just a bit it would be a fine place to eat a slow lunch. What is truly tricky is that there is a big ZAGAT sticker in the window from this year, so one would think it at least has potential to be good.
