Best nail salon ever! Super clean, very friendly and the best mani/pedi that you’ll ever get! I’d love to keep this my little secret, but it’s not fair to everyone else. I’ve been having my nails done here for over a year and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

They did an amazing French Manicure and an Acrylic Set Removal. They are very nice and polite and I will definitely return. If you are looking for a good small place to get your nails done, they are amazing!

I went to Primp & Polished for the first time and didn’t have the best experience. Walked in and what is usually simple(white & pink fill) had the nail technician looking puzzled. As I was speaking to her, she kept having to refer to the owner to translate which made it feel uncomfortable since the owner was performing services at the time. Owner did take the time to get up and look at my nails. Somehow I was convinced into a color — thinking it would be quick I went ahead and did it. What a disaster! Horrible uneven nails. Then I gave them a second try — things happen I suppose! They did a pedicure! Horrible painting. And when I said I wasn’t happy they suggested a nude tone over the white. Well they must be color blind because the nude was yellowish/opalescent. When I walked outside my nails looked yellow. So I went back the next day and instead of them removing the polish they added more coats!!! So lazy, and not to mention they were so thick from all the coats built up. Well as a good nail technician should know, thick layers don’t always dry correctly. The polish was chunky and ruined! I went home and did it myself. PS. They knew this was for a wedding event.

I went to Pampered & Polished based on the Unilocal reviews and unfortunately I am not a fan! My friend and I both made an appointment to get mani & pedi with gel. My overall experience was okay, nothing special, minimal massage and grooming, but nothing made me feel like wow that was a great experience. Now my friend on the other hand I feel terrible for. Her experience was horrendous. She was cut on her finger and the women doing her nails made it seem like it was her fault and told her not to be nervous. Also she was pulling the old shellac off not soaking it. Anybody who’s had shellac before would know this would hurt like hell, and out of all of the salons I’ve ever been to I’ve NEVER seen a professional pull shellac off. Also for her pedicure the women left nail polish all over her toes and never bothered to wipe it up. She didn’t get any sort of massage at all just a bit of lotion lathered on and quickly wiped up. I will post pictures! Unfortunately at this location if you get the wrong person helping you, you may end up devastated with your results. We will not be returning!

Super small place. Not a lot of people working, but definitely quality work. I’ve only been once, but from what I could tell, she doesn’t over book and she manages her time well. I had Sammi do my gel manicure. It was nothing fancy, but you could tell that she knew what she was doing. The edges were very clean, which helped in the lasting of my manicure. I have the tendency to eventually pick and rip off the gel nail polish once it starts growing out. Let’s just say that Sammi did such a great job with the edges, and the manicure in general, that I left the polish on for over a month. I cut my nails, but never had the urge to pick at it because there were no finicky edges calling to me. Lol. Definitely need to go back here. One concern is that I need to book in advance as she is very limited with her time.

Hands down, Sammi is the best. She pays attention to detail and is very thorough when trying to satisfy customer needs. Give her a try, you won’t regret it. Definitely my new go to place to go since I moved to Millbrae.

This was my first time at the salon. Just got back from a mani/pedi and Sammi and her associate did a great job! I didn’t make an appointment beforehand but noticed that the other customers in the salon were all scheduled appointments so I’d recommend making one beforehand. Sammi was detail-oriented and accommodating to all my requests. The salon was clean, pretty and smelled great. It’s clear that Sammi is an experienced professional and was able to make my nails look pretty for my engagement shoot in a short amount of time. Highly recommend!

Worst fill ever! The girls were nice but within 3 days all my nails were lifting! I ended up going to another place and had to get a brand new full sent!

I came back for a full set gel with Sami, and my gosh – that girl is detail oriented and just fun to talk to. I haven’t had a full set since my prom days(10 years ago, that experience has scArred me) My nails, 3 weeks later, is still in place. No chipped nails, no chipped paint. I went bowling last night and still no damage to my nails. I’m overdue for a fill though. Sami provides great service and great quality finish to your nails. Great quality comes with a price, though. But so worth it.

I didn’t think I’d ever find anyone who is as much of a perfectionist as me when it comes to nails, but these ladies are The. Best. I live halfway between Burlingame and the city and I opt to drive down here because this is one of the best nail places I’ve found, with still reasonable pricing. Both gel and regular mani’s are great. I highly recommend this shop!

Sounds like all or most of the very good reviews were based on work by Sammi – I did not have Sammi do my nails. PROS: * Fit me in at a moments notice * Friendly staff * AMAZING massage chairs(I don’t usually partake in the massagers, but I’m so glad I did here – ridic * Pedicure looks good CONS: * Miscommunications abound: First she did a regular pedi, even though it was supposed to be shellac(I even picked from the shellac palette), and had to completely redo it. Then she almost did my nails in the same color, even though I had already said twice I was doing a french manicure. * Little to no cuticle trimming, which is a big part of what makes it looks like you didn’t just paint your own nails at home. * Shellac clearcoat all up on on the finger skin * Generally sloppy french mani :(This was the biggest bummer. It really looks like I did it myself(lines of the whites not sharp, white polish on skin, etc) * Took 2.5 hours total(ugh) although this is in part because of the double pedicure. Also some notes that aren’t necessarily deal-breakers, but are worth mentioning: There was almost no leg/foot massage with the pedi(or mani), and together the mani and pedi cost $ 80. I expect a waaaay better job for a $ 40 manicure. Would probably add a star if it was a cheap get-what-you-pay-for type of thing. It’s partly on me for waiting until the last minute to find a place that would take me. This place is not by far the worst, but I’m not gonna go back. If you go, sounds like you should make sure to get Sammi!

I am a new customer of Primp & Polished and I have to say that Sammi is probably one of te best manicurist around I have been on the nail salon scene for 30 years. She did a fantastic job, I just love my nails! The environment is relaxing and the salon is very clean and quaint, I would strongly recommend this salon for your nail care needs. .

Walked in on a Sat afternoon the owner was very nice and took me in for a shellac mani. She was quick and fast. The price was average for the area $ 35 plus tip. I liked she didn’t charge me a take of nail fee for the existing shellac polish I had one, but maybe that is included in the shellac mani fee. Overall the place has a fresh new look, clean, bright and classy. I love the name Primp & Polished. Customer service was great as well. I was in a rush so was not able to get the hand massage. But liked that she valued my time and noticed I was in a time crunch to make another appt on time.

This place is pretty good. It just opened 3 months ago. I chanced upon it after I parked across the street to pop something in the post office. I was a walk in customer and they were able to take me in. It’s a small place but the chairs are very comfortable. Sue did a good pedicure and in a good amount of time. I’ll definitely come back here. I was able to find a parking spot on a busy Saturday, so that’s definitely a plus!

Got a recommendation from a friend to come here for a fill! Great nails salon, perfect location, trendy, chic and clean. Sammy takes her time and is super clean! Everything is sanitized and she even uses a plastic covering for her pedicure tubs for extra cleanliness. In addition, she has strong massage chairs – that’s always a plus in my book!

I am a crazy picky perfectionist when it comes to my nails(ok, a lot of things), so once I find a rock star manicurist, I won’t let anyone else within 20 feet of them. Lol. I was lucky enough to find Sami shortly after moving to the Bay Area 3 years ago, and I’ve been loyal to her ever since. Her new salon is fabulous… great space and awesome massage pedi chairs. Her work is sine qua non and she’s sweet as can be too. Highly recommend her!
