I don’t think they have great burgers at Five Guys. Just usual regular burgers, nothing special and nothing different from burgers at any other burger joint. The choices are pretty limited, drinks are only soda. They do have free peanuts, which is nice. Nothing against this particular location, i am just not a big fan of Five Guys in general.

This was an absolutely terrible experience. My order took over half an hour to finish. I felt bad for the little girl who was scrambling around trying to get all of the orders while the bigger girl strolled around doing nothing. She also walked by an order that was ready for another customer, and didn’t think to put it together. I also overpaid because they ran out of bacon, and when I asked if I can get a refund for the difference, her initially reaction is «it’s only like 80 cents». I felt like I was on a prank show. So absurd.

I placed my order online for a pick up for 15 minutes later at a non busy time of the day. When I arrived to pick up my order, it wasn’t even started. I had to wait another 12 minutes to receive me lil bacon cheeseburger. The burger was thrown together with no care and I received no napkins in the bag. This is my third time going to this location and it really’s needs some real quality oversight be management. Four employees running around doing whatever, but not focused on their customers nor having a clean dining area for customers. They just opened and it looked like they didn’t clean the night before mess up. This will most likely be my last visit to this location.

When it first opened it was really good, good food and customer service. Now it’s completely changed. The employees actually look miserable… The 2 that are here atleast. The lady that rang us up was actually kind of rude, the guy working the grill didn’t seem too happy with her. He’s basically doing all the work. The 3 stars is for the food!!!

Trying hard to like this 5guys, but the service is terrible. The staff doesn’t care and their manager doesn’t either. Took 30 minutes to get our burgers. One came with missing condiment. It just plainly sucks, just go to in and out instead.

Literally the worst service in the world. Everyone who works here are either on drugs or don’t know up from down. Do NOT go here it’s so dirty fries and drinks all over the floor for at least twenty minutes before someone cleaned it up. Took 25 minutes to get our food. Avoid at all costs.

7 people working here. No one in line. Order takes 15 minutes… and the place is a mess…

One guy working the lunch rush house is unacceptable. The place was empty and it still took over 10 minutes to get my lunch order taken, let alone prepared. Maybe they should evaluate their staffing or how they handle shifts here. Next time I am going to In n Out burger where it takes longer to get a meal but that’s because the place is always jammed packed!!! Take note Five Guys… Came back today for lunch on April 29th at 12:20… Same old BS! No one working the register. The woman in front of me walked out. I should of gone to in n out burger up the street. The line is long but at least they have someone taking orders. FAIL!!!

Look at all the recent reviews– this place has gotten AWFUL, fast! — filthy tables, ALL of them — 95% of the soda was unavailable. WTF? — virtually every surface is filthy– the ketchup dispenser, the touch screen on the soda machine — loud, very annoying music. I will never ever bring my family back here. Worst Five Guys Ever. I will be writing to the corporate office about these clowns. What a disrespectful franchise, it’s harming the brand.

I really hate to write this, but last weekend my family came here for burgers and fries. The guy at the register asked us three times if we wanted fries and we said yes and we got no fries. The tables were very dirty very sad experience. We won’t be going back anytime soon.

I can’t eat here. The music was so Loud I had a headache when leaving. It was louder than a concert. I mean it must have been set to 10. It was crazy. Horrible. And very slow. There wasn’t many here and it look more than 15 minutes for two cheese burgers. All the tables were dirty. Counter had five receipts just there as trash. It seemed management wasn’t around. Tuesday afternoon at noon times. Just seemed like a mess and loud music and dirty and slow.

My work orders take out for dinner several nights a week and we try to find restaurants that have online ordering and easy pick up service. Five Guys has a very easy online ordering system where each person can individually order their meal and pay for it online. I picked up 6 orders tonight and only had to wait about 5 mins for the orders to be ready. Each order is individually packed and labeled with the persons name. The food is still hot 10 minutes later! Great location, great service! Will continue to go here for dinner! PS. Two of my co workers ordered hot dogs and said they were delicious. Will be trying the hot dogs next time!

Their fries is delicious. They opened here we were one of the first customers they had and we were repeated customers 3−4x in this location. We went to redwood city 2 wks ago and ordered same large fries and it was better there, quality wise. Now that there’s a comparison, we could say the ones in redwood is way way better. Their fries aren’t burnt, and quantity wise? There’s a LLLLLLOOOOOTTTTTT. To the point we just ordered one Large fries and it was almost half of half of the paper bag + the ooovvveerrflooowing fries in the big size cup… We ordered again tonight this time back to Burlingame and it was disappointing that for the same price, size as we always order, it’s tooooo burned to think the guy said it was freshly cooked. duh… fresh? burn? and looks like we ordered small fries from mcdonald’s… We came home after ordering without checking it coz we thought it was the same overflowing fries. i got 2 bowls coz i know we had much to share but, so disappointed that this was the only size we had to share. we wanted to return it but distance wise? Not worth it. besides, it was too late already. But at least now we know where to drive if we want delicious BIG quantity fries … Five Guys Redwood City… you get more for what you pay for… Not only that we just found out that the fries has mold and talked to a certain ryan and he said to not eat coz it’s rotten potatoes… so now we know why they overcooked it so we wont find out and see it. we tossed it but we needed the refund.

When you want a burger and fries, this is a good choice. Nothing fancy – I don’t need all of the options at The Counter – and close to home. DH was in a burger mood so we can here on a Saturday night around 8. The place was not busy and our order only took about 5 minutes It took a few minutes to figure out how to get tap water and DH was munching on peanuts. He had the cheeseburger with everything and was happy. I had a burger wrapped in lettuce, no bun, with everything but mayo. I liked it, although it was very messy to hold and eat. Thank goodness it was wrapped in foil to capture the drips. We shared the fries, which were really fresh and good. The regular portion is huge. It’s nice that they post the calorie counts right on the menu. The fries are my favorite menu item here. Crisp on the outside, soft inside and freshly cut. Good value – $ 6.19 for a regular burger that has 2 patties.

This review is solely for the Cajun fries, because that’s pretty much the only thing I ever get at a Five Guys. I stopped by here with Mr. Piano because he had never had Cajun fries before, and I mentioned this to the register – he said he’d make them«extra special» for him, which I think meant extra seasoning: P Of course, I loved that, but Mr. Piano has low spice tolerance, so that didn’t work out so well for him.(More fries for me? LOL!) The fries here are good, but I think they weren’t as crisp on the outside as my usual Five Guys, and for some reason the soda machine here completely baffled all four customers who were there at the time(but we did eventually figure it out). Bottom line? It’s a Five Guys, so the fries are good, but I think I prefer my usual location over this one.

Holy moly humongous burger with two patties and massive toppings! A decent fast food chain with consistently clean and efficient. Quick service, straight to the point which I liked and everyone smiles when greeting you. Food was cooked good, fast and good quality. I got the bacon cheeseburger with all the way toppings — grilled mushrooms, onions, ketchup, mayo, mustard, pickles, lettuce, tomato and it was juicy and delicious but be warned it did get a bit messy. The peanuts are always fun to munch on while waiting for your food. The fries are out of this world and the portions are pretty generous — a regular is more than enough for two or three people. Overall, if you want to splurge a little for a really good burger, try this place out. This place is burger basics at their best.

We walked to the counter and was greeted with the biggest sweetest smile. I didn’t get his name but he was so friendly and nice, he made us felt so welcomed. The best service ever at a fast food chain! Had a little cheeseburger, bacon dog and fries. The cheeseburger was a bit too dry, taste was alright. The bacon dog and fries are as usual AWESOME! I love their peanuts too, and the fact that it’s free flow! If only they screen matches or shows at their outlet, I would be happily camping. Perhaps that’s why they are not doing that. Had a little bizarre experience. The guys called for our number, I took about 5 seconds before I responded to them as I was packing my bags. This lady went up, grabbed my food and left! The guy and I just stared blankly at each other. ??? Apparently, her queue no was 1. Mine was 99. How does 99 sound like 1?! Puzzling. Anyway, he was quick and realized there was an error and proceeded to rectify it. I love it when I see people working as a team and taking up initiative to deliver great service. Thumbs up on service. Minus one star as the burger was disappointing.

Maybe it was because I was the first customer today, but today was especially good at 5 Guys! The cajun fries were extra crispy, seasoned, and delicious. 5 Guys makes a good burger. I just wish it was a bit more affordable. For the price, it makes a sit down gourmet burger place like Rave Burger in San Mateo a realistic option if you’re not in a rush!

After saying quite confidently yesterday that fast food would never score above three stars for me, we stumbled across Five guys… We had an hour or so to kill before flying back to the UK, and it being lunch time we thought«BURGERTIME»! We parked up outside(across the street, right outside Anthropologie) for free(Sunday) and ordered cheese burgers, fries(1 Cajun, 1 not) and a large drink. The drink was fun — they have touch screen machines with over 100 beverages to choose from(lime fanta, thank you) and free refills too. You can self serve monkey nuts whilst you wait for your burger. This is an excellent gimmick and I just wish I wasn’t so full from the burger so I could have enjoyed more(they were delicious). The kids that were there were having a great time scooping the nuts into the little paper bowls. The food came when it was ready — not quickly, but this was reassuring(my burger was cooked fresh, not sat under a heater waiting for me to order it), it came wrapped in foil and then in a brown paper bag. The ordering is pretty cool, I forgot to mention — you order all your fillings/toppings separately. The mayo, mustard, tomato, grilled pepper, onion, pickle, lettuce combo was a winner & I was assured by the husband that the BBQ sauce was good too. Anyway, we opened up our foil and took a bite and it was like angels sang. This is officially the best burger I have ever had, the husband thought so too(and we’ve had a lot of burgers). Everything about it was perfect, right down to the melted cheese(I think the foil helped with this part?). The fries were okay. Not amazing, but okay. We got the little portions and they were still too big for us, we would share one next time. They are tasty, don’t get me wrong, but they didn’t compare to the burger in niceness. This would be my number 1 choice every time if we lived locally. The staff were super nice and the whole process was really efficient. If I made a burger joint, it would be like this. Thanks FGB&F for such a good send off. It was epic.

What’s so special about this place? These five guys have been popping up everywhere. I tried them when they first opened and the line was out the door so I had to see what all the hoopla was about with the latest chain craze and I was not impressed. I still don’t get it. Ok so you get AYCE peanuts. That’s nice… if I were an elephant… but I’m not and I don’t like peanuts at all. So it’s a burger joint. Is it insanely inexpensive? No, not that much cheaper than your other burger joint. Is it insanely good? No, it tastes just like a regular burger. Anything that sets them apart that would keep me coming back over and over again? No, not really… 3 stars because there wasn’t anything bad about it, but at the same time, nothing necessarily good about it that made it extra special. Average, a-ok, whatever.
