This place just alright. Typical bakery/café. Tbh I’d rather go to LA Boulange for food or Starbucks for coffee. Prices are too high and employees seem like they hate working there.

Really solid restaurant for brunch. Lots of selections. The servers and bussers are very friendly and hardworking. As for the desserts, our favorite is the princess cake. Bring cash for tips! It’s too bad they don’t allow you to tip on credit card.

Princess cake was great — not too sweet, just nice with a cup of coffee. We went there on a Sunday afternoon and there were seats outside. A great place for people watching(seating outside) then go for shopping afterwards. Will come back to try brunch here.

Warm ambiance but a little frantic. The prices of the pastries are not displayed… Other than that, this place seems to be very popular and their pastries are great!

Pricey! My order was wrong and the items didn’t taste fresh. Maybe it was just a bad day.

RUDESERVICE!!! I love supporting small business. No longer will be a patron here. After ordering, staff person placed our items on a dirty counter — not in a bag or box. I freely admited with a smile that I’m a germ-a-phobe and asked server to get new items and put them in a bag, not on the counter. The young woman then puts the items back on the tray for someone else to order. I commented on it being placed back on the tray and server rudely asks: «Should I turn my back so you can’t see me? Should I turn around?» It’s extremely disappointing to see a small business employ staff who do not respect the customer, their wishes and common, safe food practices.

Hey, this place should have a 5 star rating! They have the best baked goods around, always tasty and beautifully hand decorated. Plus, they’re nice people. I’ll never forget the first princess cake we got from here for my birthday. Marzipan outer layer(so addictively delicious), crisp piped dark chocolate details(yum!), moist yellow cake with layers of smooth pastry cream, real raspberry filling(swoon) and fresh whipped cream on top(wish I could slice myself a piece right now). I pretty much plan to have major life events now so I can get more of their cake, and I didn’t even used to like cake compared to pie ;) These folks are talented. Very impressed, Copenhagen staff. Keep up the great work!

There are two reasons for these four stars: chocolate snail and their Chinese chicken salad. That snail is so amazing. It oozes chocolate, wrapped up in a flakey buttery crust. There’s some type of almond spread in there as well and I love it. The Chinese chicken salad is just super simple and fresh. Shredded iceberg lettuce, topped with shredded chicken breast, with a light sesame dressing. Healthy and delicious. Once you eat the salad you can go stuff your face with the snail. The two cancel each other out.

I am very disappointed. I pre paid my Christmas order and I was let down. — yet again. I went Christmas eve to pick it up, As expected, there was a long line. My order was wrong. When I pointed it out to the employee, she rolled her eyes at me. She had to go back two times to fix my order. When we were finished and I told her Merry Christmas, she just walked away — not a word. When I got home, my order was wrong. This is it — I have been a customer for years — every Christmas the same thing — my order is wrong. I waited in line for 35 minutes and then I receive attitude from the employee. No thank you, Merry Christmas, nothing but rolling eyes and walking way. Well, I am walking my business elsewhere.

Copenhagen has been on Burlingame Ave forever. It is nice to see a local favorite remains since many has been closed to make room for chain stores. Their raspberry chocolate cake is still made of fresh raspberry cream. It was my favorite birthday cake as a little girl. Pastries are good. Simple: six grain roll with jam and butter. Sweet: cinnamon crisp. Haven’t tried the apple pie for years, but I remember it was the highlight in our thanksgiving dinner. High quality pastries. High price. Worth a visit :)

I love Copenhagen Bakery! My Bridal Shower cake was ABSOLUTELY stunning and tasted delicious! Copenhagen worked off a photo a provided and created a beautiful and affordable replica of my pinterest photo! They also offered a cake tasting, spoke with me over the phone and allow payment when you pick-up. Their cakes are so fresh, as they prepare the cake the day of. I will be ordering another princess cake soon!

Basic diner food. Very old school establishment, with plenty of regulars I’m sure. I had the Spanish omelette and the eggs were over cooked and rubbery. The salsa was massively chunky… just crazy chunks of tomato and very little flavor. No amount of salsa or sour cream was going to hide the fact though, that the omelette was over done. I ordered a cheese quesadilla for my son and it was completely packed with cheese and was decent. This is a pay-at-the-counter seat yourself with a number establishment. The have seating for small and large groups, and one half of the place is the bakery and the other the restaurant. It was quite packed when I went on a Thursday mid-day. I really am not sure if I’d be back, and I don’t consider it a must-go to place at all for anyone if you have other options to eat. However, if you really like those old school buttery cookies that are topped with 6 different kinds of toppings but nothing changes the flavor? ya, those they have! Parking is also a challenge, you need to drive around a lot and try to get a spot in one of those side road public parking lots. The food did come out quick, but everyone who worked there just seemed tired. Not many smiles and just a general weariness to the place. It could definitely use a facelift. And a chef-lift !

This review is for the bakery only. The desserts and pastries all look sound and look so good, but they sure do put a dent in your wallet. 1 small pastry cost $ 3.50. I wanted to try so many of them, I’ll definitely have to come back to try others. My friend and I tried the Sara Bernhardt which is a big glob of chocolate mousse on top of a layer of marzipan dipped in dark chocolate. The mousse was so light and fluffy with a great pairing of marzipan and dark chocolate. We also tried the apricot raspberry bar. This one doesn’t look that great, but this one was even better than the Sara Bernhardt. It’s marzipan, shortbread topped with raspberry and apricot jam coated with chocolate on the edge. Ugh! makes me crave the desserts while I am writing about them.

I just had to drive over to Burlingame to try their desserts, making up for no desserts on my birthday last night… I just got back to work and took all 4 desserts, tried each one and each one was surprisingly delicious… Princess cake, my goodness, marzipan, touch of raspberry, fluffy cake with cream… awesome Custard puff, very good Bavarian éclair, who doesn’t like eclairs, succulent Cinnamon flake, just the right crunch I would come here every week if I could, you gotta try it

I came here for brunch on Sunday with my girlfriends. As soon as I walked in, I saw families and friends eating together, and that warmed my heart. This place has a cozy and family oriented ambience. All the wooden furnitures, high ceiling and chandeliers resemble an old European home. I am not sure if it’s the same for the other days of the week, but on Sunday it was cafeteria style: you wait in line to order, get a number, find your own table, and waiters will bring the food to you. It’s not entirely different from Panera, to be perfect honesty. Service was relatively slow and sloppy. I saw tables with leftovers from customers, causing delay for new customers to be seated. Waiters will bring out food but have to walk everywhere to find the number, which sometimes take a while too. Thus, when the foods get to the table, it’s not hot anymore. Eggs Benedict(2.5/5)-$ 10.95 The presentation was plain and bland. I’ve definitely experienced much better eggs benedict before. The eggs were overcooked and barely runny. Not much to say about the Canadian bacon. The muffin was hard and dense, and I had a hard time cutting it apart with my knife. The hollandaise sauce was okay. Danish-style crepes with whipped cream and fresh strawberries(1.5/5)-$ 9.95 This is nothing like I expected. Sloppy presentation. It was served between warm and cold. The crepes tasted like butter and nothing else. It was greasy, the butter drenched the crepes and the strawberries. Crêpe skins could have been thinner. I don’t recommend the crepes. Overall, it’s a not an absolutely terrible place, just need to work on the food and delegate tasks better. Bottom line, I probably will not be coming back.

Desserts are beyond amazing. Princess cake is fantastic. The raspberry with the whip cream and marzapan compliments so well. Tiramisu is better than most. Raspberry rum cake is a must as well. Never had any of the food just the desserts so I can’t speak to the food. Cute bakery on Burlingame main drag, lots of shopping all around. Must visit! :)

Perfect for quick, quality, informal lunch. Short line for self ordering. Well organized, friendly, open indoor /outdoor seating. Clean, child friendly, fresh delicious food. I had the best Philly cheese steak sandwich I’ve ever eaten. Yum. I’m not a french fry affectionado but my husband looooved their fries. Even the self serve coffee was delicious, lots of brew options. We just had lunch there, October, and enjoyed their Halloween theme decorations.

Not too bad. Order at the front, then take your number and find a seat. The portions are big, but the crêpe was really not that good. It was really bland and my mom and I stopped eating it. Omelets are huge, I thought they were okay omelets. Bakery is right next door and looks good?!
