Never disappointed here. The good olé«greasy» food I grew up on. LOL! The staff, as a whole, is good, but sometimes disappear. The only thing I don’t like here is the«home made chili». It was very disappointing. I got the chili cheeseburger and I had to send it back and order something else. All in all, I like the food.

Wanted to like this place, but the food on a scale of 1 to 10 is a 3. Sorry but it’s true. They don’t even make decent French fries or home fries. Coffe is pitifully weak. Ect. Ect. Ect. You get the idea,

Food was not cooked properly, and the staff was incredibly rude when we first walked in she yelled across the diner«just sit any where it’s seat yourself» they should post a sign instead of yelling at you across the diner and the same waitress who yelled at us took our order she did not refill my coffee or my wife’s coffee at all they were not even busy we went on a Sunday 2 hours before church let out we have put elk diner on a 6 month probation we will try them again in 6 months before we completely ban them Good luck If you go I suggest if you get a burger or chicken breast cut it in half before you eat it

This place is pretty good but we prefer Our Place. They do a decent job here and we enjoy frequenting local mom and pop diners like this but the quality just isn’t off the charts like Our Place. They do have really good food though and the pies are great.

I REALLY wanted to love this place. And I’d have given it another try except our experience was so bad, we are just not interested in going again. My two youngest boys didn’t finish their hot chocolates because they said they tasted like water — I tried it and it was very true. It was hot water with a hint of chocolate flavor. My husband ordered hashbrowns — and they were terrible. So bland that we couldn’t put enough salt on them. The reason this is bad is because I don’t cook with salt — at all, so for food to be bland to us means it’s REALLY, REALLY bland. Just no taste. And a weird mixture of soggy AND over-cooked. He also ordered something that came with gravy and there was a long(over 6″) black hair floating right on top of it. The coffee was terrible — weak and tasteless. Almond crusted french toast was ok.

Best home cooked, country breakfast in town. We go every weekend. Specials every morning and sometimes you have to wait for a table. Lunch & dinner are great too, chicken fried steak, homemade veggies, and other comfort foods. It’s a seat yourself kinda place, smile and wave at the waitstaff when you come in and they’ll get right to ya. If you come in with a city attitude expect to get one back. I didn’t even have time to finish this review after ordering before my food came out.

Great little place! Got the migas and almond crusted french toast. The strawberries on top were fresh– not canned– as well as the rest of the ingredients. The migas were really good, the side has browns were alright, but the french toast was INCREDIBLE! Plus service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Must go!

Really good home cooked breakfast. The Hungry Women was a great deal. The wait staff was really nice. I can see where they might have issues getting a table if they are the slightest bit busy, kind of small place.

The food is great for the price, and the staff is definitely friendly. Service can be a little slow sometimes, but the quality if the food makes up for it. I’ll definitely be back.

Elk’s Diner is definitely a family friendly place and great for groups. I came on Sunday morning and had their breakfast tacos which came with sausage, scrambled eggs, tomatoes, and melted cheddar cheese on 2 flash fried corn tortillas and a side of home fries. Tasty. The salsa that came with it wasn’t my favorite so I put some Cholula on it and it was better. The home fries were underseasoned and kinda sad looking. I liked that they put bell peppers and onions in it though. Mr. B liked his eggs and hashbrowns and biscuit and gravy. I’d like to come back and try other items on the menu. It’s a cute breakfast spot, the inside is very cozy with lots of pics of regulars on the wall. The service is good here and the food is a-ok.

My friend told me about this place so me and my woman decided to give a try. we ordered the western omelette with hash browns and a biscuit and gravy. i would say its good but not great. I’ve had better. but for the price and what you get not a bad place. If I’m ever around there again I would eat there again. its a solid place but its not going to knock your socks off.

Had a request by the manager to give the Elks Diner another try. So my family had breakfast after church. I am glad to say the food has improved. Nothing bitter. Nothing spoiled. Hopefully the improvements will remain. So we will try again.

Went here a couple of months ago, it was pretty busy but we were able to get a seat fairly quickly. The servers were nice, coffee pretty good. Food takes awhile to come and for the price I would rather go to IHOP. I like to help locals but the omelet I could have made at home better and the biscuits and gravy were pretty bland. Might go back and try lunch.

We had set out on a search for a breakfast place on our way to run weekend errands, and were deterred by line after line at each place we stopped. The hubby remembered that Elk’s Diner was on our way to errands, and we stopped for a late breakfast. It was awesome! The eggs were cooked perfectly, the pancakes were fluffy, the biscuits delicious… we will be back! The server was super nice, too, and kept the coffee and the water coming.

I love to go to breakfast on the weekends so I’ve given elks plenty of opportunity to shine. Unfortunately it has always disappointed especially this morning. We arrived to a decent crowd but immediately were seated. Our waitress was prompt with the drinks then I assume went for a ten minute smoke break before taking our order. After ordering we waited for over twenty minutes for our food. Then while delivering more than two tables worth of plates on two hands our inept waitress managed to drop our food. No big deal things happen. But after ten more minutes of waiting we received what should have been what we ordered almost forty minutes beforehand but it wasn’t even close. By this time I was ready to ditch it all and drive through somewhere but hunger took over and we stayed. The food was at best sup par and overpriced. I asked for the manager and they never made it to the table. I was made no concession for my inconvenience and simply paid the bill just to get the heck out of there. Needless to say that will be my last visit there.

Simple down home breakfast. Typical and what you would expect. But yummy either way. Diner coffee and diner food.
