Where do I begin? We were greeted by this dark featured Seth Rogan looking waiter who was absolutely phenomenal. I think his name was Oscar, that’s what it says on the receipt under«cashier.» Anyway, someone give him a raise as soon as possible because I loved him. Very outgoing and funny! I ordered a Bloody Mary which is my poison so I am very picky about how it tastes. Surprisingly, their Bloody Mary was very good. Not the best, but it was VERY good. Strong too. I felt myself get a little bit of the happy feels. Anyway; randomly, this magician(not making this up lol) comes to our table and starts doing these AWESOME magic tricks. His name was Joseph Thomas. Blew my mind. Lastly, the food was amazing! Got a tuna melt with a salad. The salad was greens with ranch. The ranch was extremely good and I’m picky about my ranch. Tuna melt was 10⁄10. Overall 10⁄10. Love this place. Will be coming here for more brunches or lunches. 5 thumbs up!

I hate to give such a bad review but this place gave me food poisoning. I came on a Sunday morning around 9:30a and it was pretty empty. It was a gorgeous day so we decided to sit outside and enjoy their patio overlooking the golf course, which was an excellent way to start our morning. But the waitress took forever to swing by and take our order, even though we were only one of two parties in the entire restaurant. I ordered a breakfast burrito with bacon. Immediately after finishing my food, within about an hour, I was running to the bathroom and feeling super sick. My stomach is normally ironclad with all the eating out that I do, so it was shocking that I got sick from a simple burrito. The quality of the food is just average and what you would expect from a boring restaurant serving traditional American fare. Sad I won’t be coming here ever again.

My daughters golf team had their awards banquet here tonight. The restaurant did a great job. They had a taco bar and it was super good. The wait staff was great also.

We come here once in awhile because we can get right in, plus the view is beautiful and relaxing, especially on a nice day when you can sit outside. We really enjoyed it before the Burbank Bar & Grille took it over and we were, quite frankly, worried since the handful of times I’ve been to the BB&G, the service has consistently suffered. With that said, I have been pleasantly surprised, for the most part. Sometimes they get busy and service is slow, but we’re usually in no hurry and it’s still very friendly and efficient, otherwise. Jennifer is the bomb! We have on one occasion had a horrible waiter — just bad at it. I think he was filling in from BB&G. While I miss the Halibut fish & chips from the old incarnation, the food has always been really good — both the breakfast & lunch. We definitely recommend and will continue to come here.

I had lunch here for the first time and the food was delicious!!! Great place for a sandwich and salad with a great view! Much better place than I remember it being as a child. Glad this place is here.

This is Burbank’s hidden jewel! The food and beer is very good but the ambience is a 10. Overlooking the De Bell golf corse, surrounded by the Verdugo mountains, it feels as though you are in the countryside, we are never surprised by all the nature we see, deer, coyotes, hocks, we even saw a golden eagle land in the trees. We LOVE it!

I hate to write this review but I have to… Yesterday, my family was craving the famous cheese bread from the Smokehouse. If you live in Burbank, you know that Canyon Grille also sells it. I order my loaf for pick up. I ask how much for a loaf, she says $ 15.00. I say«can you repeat» and yes it was $ 15.00 for a loaf of cheese bread. Well the dumb person that I am and I really wanted to please my family, I got a half loaf. I paid $ 10.00(they forgot to give my kid change) and here is what I got. The bread was not the same(which is okay) but I still can’t believe they charge that much money for bread… BREAD…it’s robbery! My fellow Burbank people — stick to the Smokehouse. It’s $ 7.57 for a loaf of their famous cheese garlic break. Canyon Grille — you broke my heart and I’m out $ 10.00

We really enjoyed dining here while watching others play golf. It’s quiet and the service was really good. I had the carne asada taco’s and my husband had the chicken sandwich and both were delicious. They have a great happy hour menu(food and spirits) from 4pm — 7 pm

Came here for the first time in about two years and was disappointed. The menu has changed and the food is not of the same quality as it once was. In particular, the garlic cheese bread that they were once known for is nowhere near as good as it once was. And the service was frustratingly slow. Fortunately, the porch still has an amazing view on the golf course. But that is not enough to make up for the slow service and mediocre food.

Our family loves the Canyon Grille. The food is great and reasonably priced. The staff is so friendly especially Sonia our favorite waitress! Highly recommend the shrimp tacos.

What more can I say that other’s haven’t. Great food, great views, and beautiful new building. Prices are reasonable and management is striving for excellent service. Also, they provide a great place to have small events or weddings. Check them out when you can. You will be pleased. Keep up the good work, Canyon Grill. I’ll be back!

I probably shouldn’t review this place since it is such a wonderful little hidden gem, and I would like to keep it a secret! We are golfers, and landed on it while golfing as a place to get a quick lunch, but realized the food is above and beyond. We love it here so much, and have made it a tradition to spend every Easter here as well. The food is great and a fantastic deal for the quality. Service is ALWAYS amazing, friendly, quick, and accommodating. Its a great place to bring family and friends, especially out of towners who have the image of L.A. as one big urban sprawl — you truly feel like you are in the middle of nowhere! Thank you for another great Easter!!!

What a hidden gem! I love this place. it’s sooo relaxing and quiet, tucked away near a residential neighborhood in Burbank. It’s so quiet and green and lovely, I can spend all day there! We parked in the parking lot across the street, but there’s also street parking. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor. We just went in and grabbed a seat on the patio(which is also pet friendly — well behaved ones, at least). Pretty views, amazing weather, comfy seats. The waitstaff was friendly. didn’t really have any issues with them. The prices are extremely reasonable for lunch. I had the baja chicken sandwich, and it was yummmyyy. The grilled chicken was great. The roast beef was pretty tasteless though, and had these weird hard bits, so I wouldn’t get it again. I will definitely try other things, though, and definitellyyy be back. :D Apparently dinner reservations are not absolutely required, but recommended. Open to the public & just lovely. It’s not too, too fancy, but it’s certainly casually elegant — highly recommended! :D

So this is not a posh country-club golf-club restaurant… which is good because it is accessible to all. AND it is a great casual diner, with good drinks, decent portions, and good prices. What makes it worthwhile is the beautiful scenery all around well-maintained gold courses, If you are lucky, you will see buck and deer crossing the landscapes. I wish they served breakfast till later especially on weekends. Menu changes by 11:00 a.m. to lunch. Do go and try it out.

Beautiful surroundings. Breakfast was good however the service was extremely slow and there weren’t very many patrons in the restaurant. May try & go back to check out Happy Hour & dinner service.

Best views, well kept secret IMHO. Beautiful golf course with prolific deer. The food was decent. The onion rings are awesome. Our waitress was good up until We paid the bill. We wanted to stay for drinks but she disappeared. Kind of too bad because we stayed for drinks for a long time and had to run for the drinks ourselves. Strange, especially at a golf course. They have places to charge your phone on the patio!!! Love that! We had the bacon avacado burger and it was good but a little well done. The sweet potato fries are good. The Blue cheese is ranch with few blue cheese chunks. But all in all we had a great time!

My name is Troy Peterson( ) and I’ve been a Burbank resident for 10 years now. I love the«new» clubhouse. My favorite thing from here was the«world-famous garlic bread» that was the same recipe as Smokehouse’s bread. That went away momentarily with the management change, but they have a decent approximation back on the menu(thanks Scott). It’s still a little too bready though, so maybe instead of cutting the French loafs in half you can trim a little extra off the middle. The bread-to-cheese-to-butter ratio will then be back! THISIS A SERIOUSANDSTRONGSUGGESTION! It can take a long time to get food here as of the past 6 months, whether it’s at lunch on a weekday or just trying to pick up a couple of loafs of garlic bread for a party. In fact, 8 days ago I called in an order for two loaves and was told the order would go in immediately and should be ready in under 15 minutes. Sounds great. We leave and my wife goes in to pick it up 15 minutes later and… what… no bread. We wait another 20MINUTES before our order is ready. The order consisted of TWOLOAVESOFGARLICBREAD. Really guys? That never happened before the management change. And about a month ago my friend and I ordered a loaf to go about 30 minutes before our round of golf. They burned the original loaf, then had to make a new loaf. Once again, another 35-minute adventure. What’s going on here Scott? I hate it when cowards sit behind an anonymous avatar/name, so I included my name and email to see if the management is truly reviewing these all-important posts. I don’t post more than a couple of reviews per year, but I care about this place and want it to improve. I plan to be a Burbank resident until I die many years into the future. With the Canyon Grille just a mile up the street from me and a strong addiction to the Smokehouse’s World-Famous Garlic Bread, I have a real vested interest in the Grille’s long-term success. Maybe you folks need to convene a focus group of regulars so you can get some timely feedback and make the needed changes to mitigate the online backlash you’re receiving from faithful customers like me. Just a thought. I wish you nothing but success!

I swear, this place went down south pretty damn fast. I was excited to hear that the owner of BBG was taking over the management, but its obvious that the new ownership isn’t doing a great job at all. I golf at DeBell twice a month and typically have a meal at the club house post round. I wanted keep giving the new management a fair chance, but they keep failing me time and time again. The last straw was certainly this past Sunday. The service has been slow ever since the transition. the wait staff also seems to have an attitude when on the floor. I’m not sure if the servers are BBG employees that are unwillingly being scheduled for the clubhouse, but they sure are coming to work with a bad attitude. That certainly translates to a bad guest experience. The food quality has also gone down a little bit. I’m just not enjoying my post golf meal anymore… I’ll just take my business elsewhere and so should you! Too bad this place went down the tubes, I’m just unwilling to have bad service time and time again. Boot the bad management before you lose more customers.
