No way to run a business! I arrived at this Burbank location Oreck store at 10:20. Hours posted on the door and online indicated that the store opened at 10:00. The OPEN sign was brightly illuminated and visible from the parking lot. Once getting to the door, there was a sign indicating«be back at 10:30.» I waited until 10:35 when an older guy came sauntering up with his cup of coffee in hand. When I asked, «Where have you been?» He said in a belligerent manner, «I had to get change and a cup of coffee, IFTHAT’S ALLRIGHTWITHYOU!» I then said I didn’t think I’d do business at his store, he then said, «Make sure you mention my name in your complaint!» I didn’t get his name, but he was a mustachioed, older dude. Alas, poor Oreck, you lost my business!

We take our Oreck in once a year for it’s check up. This location was courteous and very efficient. Dropped it off and got a call the next day saying it was ready for pick up. Friendly service and now my vacuum is running better than ever. It is amazing what a little tune up and new bag will do.

The owner is fantastic. Very helpful, goes above and beyond to support the customer. I brought in a fairly new vacuum/steam cleaner but the issue was manufacture related. The owner contacted headquarters and sent my vacuum back; whereas, headquarters wanted me to pick up the vacuum, package it and then mail it to them. Great guy, great store, and I highly recommend.

We paid $ 700.00 from Oreck Clean Home Center Burbank for our top of the line Oreck vacuum because because of the 21 yr. warranty. This warranty is supposed to be in effective as long as we have it serviced once a year. Not only did we take it in for service once a year, we had to have it repaired at least once a year. A couple of years ago we noticed that they stopped filling out the service log. When asked why they stopped filling out the log sheet they played it off, saying it’s nothing to worry about… So after taking our vacuum to this shop almost twice a year all of the sudden the shop manager tried to charge us for parts that had just been replaced 6 months ago. Recently they tried to charge me for a new motor when the problem was clearly the switch. These are warrantied repairs yet all of the sudden they have questioned our service record and even implied that we didn’t purchase the Vacuum from their shop even though there is a sticker on it with their name and phone number on it. This is how we found them when they changed locations with no forwarding address left at the empty previous location. They freely admit that they did not have a computer when we purchased it 6 yrs ago and acted as if they where doing us a favor by honoring the warrantied parts, but insisted they must charge us for something and replaced the brushes that had just been replaced 6 months ago or discount a new unit. Note: we only have 4 small area rugs that the vacuum is used on… The combination of theses events have caused me to be suspect of this Dealer as well as the Orick product itself. Especially when i consider that soon after paying top dollar for our unit, we noticed it for sale at Costco for $ 400.00 less than we paid Oreck Clean Home Center of Burbank.

These guys did a great job tuning up my 2004 Oreck vacuum! Top notch service and a very fair price for repair.

Ever since I got my Oreck last December from my family as a combination birthday/Christmas gift(no, my birthday ISNOT the 24th or 25th!), I have actually NOTMINDED vacuuming. It’s a primo machine – that’s why I was intrigued when it was emphasized to me the importance of taking it in for it’s ANNUALTUNE-UP(what are we talking about, a Rolls-Royce?). Don at the Burbank location is a terrific manager/Oreck expert, and I’m grateful for his service. In this day and age, paying a bit more for true quality is very smart.

If you want to be charged $ 160 to pull dust out of your clogged vacuum cleaner, this is the place for you. My Oreck vacuum cleaner was spitting dust out, so i took it to the Oreck Vacuum Center in Burbank. The manager of this store looked at it and said that they have to take the vacuum apart to find out what is wrong with it and that would cost me $ 80. The other $ 80 would be to replace a slightly cracked bar and the rest of the amount he will tell me later when he finds out what is wrong with the vacuum cleaner after taking it apart. I don’ t want to speculate, but judging by their prices i can assume that it would be very expensive. Almost as much as a new vacuum cleaner. I did not go for it and instead i went on Youtube and found a lot of videos on Oreck repairs. One of them showed how to fix this problem. It was a VERYSIMPLE procedure. All i had to do was unclog it. Literally pull dog hair and dust out of it with my fingers. That was it. The vacuum has been working fine after that. This Oreck Vacuum Center wanted to charge me a ton of money for this very simple procedure, that really should be done for free. It is obvious to me that this business is suffering from the bad economy and in order to stay afloat they think that they have to scam and rip their customers off.
