Always a fun experience, gourmet burgers and Garlic fries. Just tried the Bratwurst with sweet pickled cabbage and a Pretzel. Yumm.

This is about a 3.75 star affair. My childhood friend, his family and the wife and I sniffed in here. It’s been about 12 years since I’ve dined here. I used to live in Burbank and worked in the building next door so my co-workers and I came here during a freebie survey lunch where you didn’t pay but simply wrote up reviews on the cuisine. For many years after that I’d come here for beer and apps with colleagues or a colleague and I would cruise for ladies on the outdoor patio. «Ah, the single days»… As a result, I will always have fond memories of this establishment. However, the interior is definitely showing its wear. The bathroom is pretty hammered and the interior of the dining room is more than worn around the edges. I guess that is 17 years of wear-and-tear. The KOBECHEESEBURGER w/BACON was pretty nice. For the price it tasted quite good but with the KOBE name I guess I expected it to be even better. It was cooked almost perfectly medium rare. The GARLICFRIES are very garlicky and tasty. The MOJITO is pretty strong, super limey and tasty. The BEERLIST currently didn’t speak to me but will in June. Personally, I think you should always have a PORTER or a STOUT available regardless of whether its WINTER, FALL, SPRING or SUMMER. The SERVICE was quite good and the location in downtown Burbank is hard to beat.

Greatest service and best food and request Vahe as your waiter. Friendly knowledgeable and he can figure out what beer you will love!!!

For $ 20 for a lunch meal I expected a more tastier, marinated salmon. It was pretty tasteless and so was the quinoa and kale. The fries and ranch were the best part and NOT because they were the unhealthy option. I typically order kale quinoa and salmon for lunch and for the $ 20 ticket for this order it seems like I did not get the real value I was looking for. Maybe other menu options are tastier, who knows. The service was quick and friendly though and the outdoor seating is pretty cute so I added a couple stars for that.

We stopped here for dinner while staying in town. Food was good and predictable for GB. We got a calamari appetizer, the calamari was somewhat chewy and was not the greatest. My daughter got the kids chicken strips, nothing mind blowing there. My wife got the beer chicken. Now this was really good. If you take a bite that had the chicken, spuds, fried onion joints and the sauce in one bite you will understand the pairing combo of these ingredients. I got the California chicken BLT(CLBT). I enjoyed the sandwich quite a bit, but the garlic fries were not that great. But I will be honest in that I am not the biggest French fry fan in the world. My wife and I shared the blue cheese wedge salad. It was also good. With our meal we got the beer sampler. The beer in it was mostly good. We got the sampler because we wanted to try the different beers so we could make a decision on what to fill a growler up with and take back to the hotel. There was one beer we really liked, but when we tried to clarify with the server which beer it was she really had no idea which beers she had served us. She said the beer menu had not been updated that was distributed to the table. But to put that aside I don’t think she categorized the beer correctly when she set them down in the sheet. Between the restaurant and/or the server they failed the purpose of a brewery serving a sampler. It doesn’t matter if you hand write the beer down but the consumer should always know what they are drinking. About half the beers were obvious what they were, but a few in the middle were not easy to distinguish from one another. Despite the confusion with the beer sampler i still give it a 4 star rating. The food and the dining experience were good and won’t take points away from that. Dinner for 3 with an appetizer, side salad, beer sampler, growler and the tip came out to $ 87. Not too bad.

Had such a great experience here! The staff was so fantastic and attentive(especially our waitress on 05÷27÷16, can’t remember her name, but she was so on it!), the food was amazing, and drinks were insanely good. Get the ahi steak seared!

A quick review of a regular haunt of ours. Last night we headed out to Gordon Biersch for dinner and we were pleasantly surprised by how energetic and enthusiastic our server John was. He had great knowledge of the menu and extensive list of beers. What struck us is how often many at this job are just«phoning it in». So when we encounter someone how really enjoys the work and interacting with customers it is very much appreciated! Now the food; I had the Bruschetta Chicken on pasta which was wonderfully loaded with garlic and my S.O. had Salmon, which in my opinion was just ok. This coming from someone who believes all fish should be grilled over charcoal. We topped it off with an impulsive order of the Apple Crostata… Wow! Now off to run 5 miles to burn off the extra calories :-)

We like to go here for the beer and the garlic French fries! Great spot for groups, is a cool atmosphere. Last Saturday, unfortunately, the service was so poor. I know they were busy but still… Nobody cleaned the table for us after food so we can just have the deserts and bear coming… the server we had told us at some point she had to close the tap because her shift was over and we did, understandable, but we had to beg another server to get our orders. We had friends coming till late and we ordered a lot… who cared?! feels like we annoyed them with too many requests for sweets and bears… Food is good… beer excellent… Just have more happy servers to be glad to serve.

Saturday night, booths closed at 10/10:30pm, so we couldn’t sit there. Peach Martini was horrible, exchanged for Sangria which was at least drinkable. Service was slow. Husband hated house beers. Tried nachos which was one of worst ever had, The buffalo slider was ok, the garlic fries with them were ok. Liked the pickled veggies it came with. Cool ambiance, but didn’t get windows in center of the room, who’s idea was that? Lol. Patio nice, but not even utalized!!!

GB Miami. GB Seattle. GB Burbank. Gordon Biersch’s a favorite place. I have made some great memories drinking, eating and partying at their pub chain. I’ve probably tried every mixed drink(cocktail) on the menu. My friends in Miami drink the wine. My friends in Seattle stick to beer. And in Burbank, I tend to drink and eat alone at GB Burbank, most of the time. The atmosphere’s always lively. The menu changes periodically. I miss the polenta topped with grilled vegetables. Also, I wish the Black Forest Cake wasn’t just a seasonal item. The turkey and veggie burgers, which are equally terrible are static on the menu. Everything else on the menu comes recommended like fish tacos, salads, sandwiches and entrees. The side items choices can turn a regular dinner completely gourmand. So go experimental. Servers, wait staff and cleanliness have always been exceptional. They have a rewards program that I might be a member of… But, errhhh, I’ll bring it along next time.

Came in for a family dinner. The stars are for the service, which was good, had a nice waiter and the food came out pretty quickly. We ordered a chicken caesar salad, a mushroom and chicken pasta and a kids pizza. The only one good out of the three was the kids pizza. The salad had wilted lettuce, barely any dressing that even the waiter noticed and grabbed me some without having to say anything. The pasta was terrible… the oil from the caramelized onions was overpowering the flavor, making it very heavy… we couldn’t finish more than 50% of it.

GB is like one of those typical, chainy, American sit-down restaurants, except they serve beer. Are they 4 stars? Not really. But they’re also not three, so I’ll round up. They have a cute patio, and a cute interior. Service has generally been friendly. Food is ok. Beer is beer, so it’s always pretty good. I enjoy the sampler a lot. If you’re in the Downtown Burbank area and thinking of giving them a try, go for it. It might not be the most stellar place you’ve ever tried, but you might enjoy it, particularly if you enjoy beer.

First visit took place on Satuday, April 16, 2016. Sat at the bar with a couple of my friends. Experience was great. Food was on point. So were the drinks. Staff members were friendly and attentive. I definitely see myself coming back to this place. Will have to check it out on a more busier day.

Great prices on great beer. I LOVE the blond ale. I once ordered 2 beers here(blonde ale) on an empty stomach and had a hangover until 6pm the next day. So did my friend who basically did the exact same thing. We originally were going to eat, but the kitchen was already closed so we just drank. And I only paid $ 8 because it was late night and beers are only $ 4 each. So, I’d consider it a success. Basically, I love the blonde ale. I tried the IPA, too. I’m not an IPA person, but their IPA was actually pretty good.

I wish I could have put at least 3 stars, but the stars were fading as the experience progressed… Service started out as a maybe a 3.5 because it took forever for us to be greeted by our server or even just get waters brought to us when we first sat down. It wasn’t slow, but not terribly busy either. I ordered the Gastro Pub burger which I actually enjoyed, but the«world famous» garlic fries were pretty disappointing. Now I love garlic, even fresh garlic from time to time, but I didn’t expect that it’s name implied enough raw garlic to clear your sinuses and plague your breath for days. I liked their blue cheese dressing for dipping because it was chunky, but it was lacking that spoiled and somewhat pungent sour taste that makes it hated by some and adored by others like myself. My friend got the California Cobb Chicken-something Flatbread and this one… It’s possible that the dish was on an oversized Saltine Cracker, and if it wasn’t, they could’ve fooled me. There was literally 2 pieces of tiny chicken on it, which I felt bad that I happened to try a piece that had one of them because she didn’t get to enjoy the«most» out of her meal. It was saltine-cracker crispy(aka dry), and a sad amount of the lettuce and the other goodies that would have helped it live up to its name. Her sweet potato fries were nothing special that I added salt and pepper to help them out, it didn’t really do anything, but again they definitely weren’t bad. I had whatever the Malty Beer was, I enjoyed that. But service continued to plummet at we neared the end of the experience. Tables around us in our area had empty glasses just as we did, and we had to make eye contact with the gentleman from across the bar area we were at. He’s definitely a nice gentleman and his service initially(despite the delay in being greeted and getting water) was still towards a 4 and helping my overall rating to be a 3, but it as well diminished below. This place isn’t horrible by any means, I may retreat back to the one I’m familiar with in San Diego, but the experience could have been better and we’ll end up going elsewhere since we go out here in Burbank so much.

Two stars for the Beer– Zero stars for the food. I used to like coming here, but now it seems the quality has gone down, and the prices have gone way up! Customers notice these things, and we are not very happy. I dont think I will be coming back. Goodbye Gordon Biersch!

GREAT place in Burbank! Located on the corner of E. Angeleno and San Fernando Blvd., Gordon Biersch is situated in a nice part of Burbank. There is a free parking lot around back and there are usually open spaces. There is also plenty of street parking. The inside of the restaurant is extremely spacious. There is a bar area, and a regular dining area. One really cool part is, since it is a brewery, you can see where the beer is brewed in a giant glass room right by the dining area. The menu is extensive, and includes high quality options such as salmon and grilled asparagus, fish tacos, and gourmet sandwiches. We started off with the Charcuterie & Brie plate and oh my goodness if it wasn’t the best thing ever! I’m a big meat and cheese fan, especially brie. If you’re the same way, order this! I then opted for the bourbon salmon with asparagus. They also have good drink specials throughout the day, and I ordered the Seven Daughters Moscato(one of my favorites). My mom got the Turkey Ciabatta Club. The bourbon salmon was grilled to perfection and was delicious! I definitely recommend it if you’re trying to order something on the healthier side. The asparagus was also very tasty and had just the right amount of salt. My Mom really enjoyed her turkey sandwich, and especially the side of garlic fries– they’re a must-try! Very strong garlic flavor though, so be ready for that. The service was great. The waitress was very attentive and came back to check on us frequently. The giant comfy booth we sat in was also very comfortable. I couldn’t have hung out there and had some drinks for a while if I had the time! Overall, if you’re around Burbank looking for a solid meal or a quick drink, you can’t go wrong with this place!

Worst burger experience. It was soggy and unflavorful. Waiter recommended it and then asked what I thought and I said it was not good and he just said ok and walked away. So on top of terrible food, the service was also as bad. Stay away.

Came here yesterday with a group of friends after the guys had a nice race at Racers Edge. Service was good and food was great(just on some items) For the BF he ordered the classic chopped salad that comes with mixed green lettuce, avocado, chicken, tomatoes, cucumbers, beans & bleu cheese(which we omitted) all mixed in with ranch sauce. Overall, the salad was light. We felt it needed more dressing but I guess its more healthy that way. I was contemplating either getting pizza or pasta. So I ended up choosing Smoked Chicken & Mushroom Pasta. Pasta was good, but I had a piece of pizza from my friend and I regretted right away that I should have chosen pizza instead!!! The pasta was good. Bow tie pasta with piece of chicken breast and mushroom mixed in a white sauce topped with cheese and green onions. But in my opinion, I didn’t really like it. They are known for their burgers and pizza. So listen to your server and order from there! We also ordered the vanilla crème brûlée and it was not good at all. Something about the pudding tasted different, like a thicker consistancy and no vanilla taste at all. But overall, i would come back if we are in the area again to try their pizza!
