great old style hardware store. plenty of parking and a knowledgeable staff... much better service than the big box places and often have the little odds and ends you need the big places wont sell.. yes the price is a little more than big box and they dont have tons of building supplies but its worth it ... i always go there first

This place now carries fairy garden décor. They have a huge display of the cutest miniature garden stuff. They also have a newly expanded kitchen section with any and all gadgets you need for cooking and canning, cool jars, bottles, peelers, mini whisks, cutting boards, etc…
They still have their awesome mini nursery section, where you can find just about anything you might need to start a garden. I love this store. The workers here are always friendly and helpful.

What happened to my local hardware? I believe in shopping at local businesses when I can. But since this store went from Do It center to DYI, the service has taken a big turn for the worse. Gone is the service desk located mid store. Now if I have a question, I have to walk to the front of the store and interrupt a cashier. No friendly employees roaming. There, isnt even a button or phone to call for help. Today I needed help and walked to the front, spoke to the store mgr who paged someone, walked back to aisle 21, WAITED for someone to assist me, gave up after 7 minutes and walked back to the front. No one cared that I hadn’t been helped. I had noticed the service had gone down hill the past few visits but today was the last straw. There is a Home Depot or Lowes within driving distance so either one will get my business. BOO on DYI.

I always try to give DIY my business first, but it’s getting really hard now that customer service has gone down the drain. An old white guy with long hair who I asked for help basically in ignored me when I asking question. He seem like was busy stocking and could careless. Well I asked again if a particular saw blade would fit my equipment that I also brought into the store to make sure it would fit. He looked at me and said «I don’t know». Great!!! That’s a lot of help. I will go to Lowe’s or Home Depot first now.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE as well as large selection of items keeps me coming back.
I also have a great appreciation for the boutique feel as I get overwhelmed at Home Depot and Lowe’s.

I have noticed DIY Home Center many times and needed a medium duty extension cord so I thought I would make it a quick trip since they were so close to home. Well… am I ever glad! This will be my go to store instead of Lowes or Home Depot. The staff is great! It is so convenient and what a selection! I love it!

Huge parking lot! Never a problem finding a spot. First bonus! There is actually staff here that know their stuff! Second bonus! Lines are short. And they have just about everything big box stores have with a fraction of the chaos!
Today I came in and, well as a women, really didn’t know all the right terminology to fix the rattling going on in my window. So with a lot of hand gestures and forth grade sound effect attempts, i explained (OR pantomimed) my problem and with a sorry walk to aisle 5 was handed a small tub of window glaze for $ 4,29 and instructions on how to use a putty knife and roll the putty into a thin snake, place near seal and ouila… no more rattling.
I swear I don’t know why I didn’t fix this sooner! Every plane that flew overhead just rattled those windows. I thought, one day they’re just going to rattle themselves right to the floor in shards.
Thank you to the kind gentlemen, who’s name I’ve forgotten, that helped me today. I love the Do It Center. Next project… fixing the gate!

They had a waaaaaaay better selection of door and window seal treatments than the local Home Depot. I found almost everything I needed and I actually had choices. Plenty of Parking in the back.

Today was my first visit to DIY Home Center. I’ve passed by so many times and finally stopped in. What a cool store; it’s a combination of say… an osh with a little bath and beyond thrown in there.
I needed some raccoon repellent and I found it here. They said if it doesn’t work I can return it and get my money back. The manager (Rick I believe was his name) was very helpful and sweet. Also, they have a store cat! Love it!

I went to Do-​it-​Center because I wanted to support a smaller business, and I had a fine experience purchasing there, but when I returned to exchange a couple items– I was given nothing but attitude. It was only two days after I had made the purchases, and the two items were unused, and unopened, and I was merely asking to exchange them for something else at almost the same price. The cashier treated me like I was up to no good, and she even asked the manager to come over. There is not a fiscal loss for a business when all the items can be resold– so why all the gruff?

Great place to shop. Always pretty empty. Love the cats too. Prices are a little higher than a place like Home Depot but it’s a great place. Good variety of items. Great costumer service and they have two lovely cats walking around. Sort of reminds me of NYC grocery stores where they have cats to catch the mice. I wonder where they sleep at night and who they actually belong to.

While this place has most everything I need for home and garden, I mostly appreciate the convenience of patronizing a «neighborhood» hardware store versus slogging to a big warehouse store. Parking is easy and the staff is always helpful.

Merchandise items are well presented and stocked. Weekend warrior do it your selfers, like myself, need the staff expertise.
Big box stores have their place, but so do the neighborhood «ace hardware» stores.

I have been a GIANT supporter of Do-​It Center for the past 11 years.
I’m a 47 yr old woman who owns 2 homes and needs a great deal of DIY materials.
Supporting local businesses is very important to me and I would always go to Do-​It Center
rather than the larger chains… until today. Today, I was running errands and had all
of my personal stuff in my backpack (wallet, glasses, mail, etc.). I was rudely stopped
by a man working there and told I couldn’t shop with my backpack and that I had to
leave it behind the counter. I said, «I shop here all the time». I could tell the female
cashiers recognized me but they said nothing. I felt I was being targeted as a petty
thief and a criminal. It was humiliating. I am the person who makes sure to diligently
note all the prices for every loose screw, nut, and bolt that I buy there. It makes me
sad but… I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN.
Also, what is the difference between a backpack and a giant purse? Would I have
been stopped if I was carrying one of my purses?

Michael in the screen door department went above and beyond to locate, order, and transfer the specific screen door according to the specs I needed and in a timely manner.
Also, Do It Center’s assistance, selection and overall quality of the door (made of metal not nylon, color, size, style, door window fit, availability, complete set of no picked through or missing parts or pieces, etc) was far superior to their local competitor (s).

I LOVVVVVE this place for getting my cleaning agent supplies. Today, I was going to get a Lysol can, but opted for the cool Venus fly trap plant. I want to get more to get rid of all the flies in our house! I cannot stand bugs AT ALL.
I will come here tomorrow for the lysol products, wipes, as well as the Venus fly traps.
The place is organized, clean and cashier was friendly.

This place is always so clean, never crowded with out of control undocumented workers-​I can actually shop peacefully and not be bothered with crazy cart pushers. (So over Home Depot). The staff is amazing, they are the sweetest ladies at the registers– they is a young guy that helps on the floor-​they need to keep him in the storeroom as I had to ask for a specific item several times, when he say, «oh, I know what your talking about.» I follow him a distance just to alert him that it was NOT what I wanted. He finally brought an older gentleman whom was aware that they did not carry heat protected appliance wire tape. It’s an added protection with ceramic electrical wire caps. But I didn’t leave for nothing-​I bought vehicle wax, a new leash for my dear Andi Pandi and compact tool bag-​not that I work as a repair person but I can fix anything and with that comes tools! They carry a great selection of tools and accessories! They have pretty much everything.

Will not be back here. I love supporting smaller businesses but when you guys get huffy with me I won’t be back. They don’t have a debit option only credit. Which is actually interesting now that I think about it because credit is more expensive for smaller businesses to use. Make sure you go with cash or credit card and an id. I forgot my Id so guess what, can’t purchase! Truth is, even if someone stole my identity there is nothing they could do AND it would never come back to bite them anyway.

Recently visited this place looking for a bag of concrete cement.
Walked in by 3 employees chatting away at the entrance, noone greeted me, plain ignore me.
Walked down the aisles looking for concrete cement, many employees passed me by and noone greeted me or offered assistance. Found item on my own.
Place was empty (probably 4 customers at the most including myself) I wonder why…
Hint: greet and assist your customers. Stop the unneccessry chat, react to your customers.
Only friendly person there was Margarita, cashier who cashed me out.

I have never been to do it center so much as I did today. Luckily it’s near by, so I was able to grab whatever it is that I needed. Came here once for duck tape… figured that wasn’t going to hold up my flyers and so came back for industrial stapler. Thought one wasn’t enough and so came back a third time to grab another stapler. Service is pretty much do it yourself. If you really can’t find what you are looking for then ask an employee. Overall a friendly staff, although one staff member and I were both struggling on why the staples couldn’t fit inside the damn stapler… turns out, I was using a differ brand of staples. WTH do I know about those damn things? Luckily, another employee caught it and directed me to the right one. Parking is available at the back lot, as well as side streets.

It’s nice to be able to go to a hardware store and not get lost. Has a great neighborhood vibe to it.
Prices tend to be a smidgen higher than huge corporate places, but at least everyone is nice.
Also, they have some cats, which is pretty cool to say the least!
