Waited about 45 minutes till we got all our food. Manager was nice enough to give us a shot of tequila for the wait. Food wasn’t even that good. Waitress didn’t attend us that much because she had 5 other tables. Very frustrating… will not be going here again. Not to mention fire alarm went off in the middle of our lunch. When we were leaving the fire dept had shown up. They need to work out the kinks… might try the happy hour though.

Seems this place closed for renovations at the end of 2013, they inefficiently left a mere sign on the door stating that there were going to reopen in February of 2014. However as of yet, there doesn’t seem to be any change: the website’s become inactive, and even before then, if you called the number, it would merely ring and ring without even a recording picking up. Hell, I didn’t even realize this until I got curious about why they weren’t picking up(or how any successful restaurant/bar could always seem to be closed when I passed by it on the way home), and physically walked up to the place to see the sign(it’s a big restaurant on a busy intersection in West Burbank/Toluca Lake, so it’s kind of hard to overlook…). You’d think the management could’ve at least updated their voicemail/site, but frankly they don’t seem particularly invested in reopening(or generating any good will among old or prospective new customers, when/if they ever do…).

Sad they ran it into the ground by never opening. Could have been a great place.

Best Tortilla Soup! The Fish And Shrimp Tacos are great! And not to mention the margaritas! Not too sweet with the right amount if kick! Helpful, friendly staff! Will definitely come back!

My boyfriend and friends have passed this place so many times and decided to finally check it out… I wasn’t sure what to expect because the place didn’t have many cars. First off the margaritas are AMAZING! The Hibiscus Flower Marg is the second best drink I’ve EVER had, not only was it delish but I didn’t even get a hang over from it that’s how fresh the ingredients were. The menu sounded a bit strange but don’t let it fool you, its equally as good! I had the seafood quesadilla, and it was to die for. I don’t remember the food taking long at all but then again I was busy enjoying my drinks, lol. We all had such a great time and our waitress was delightfully funny. All the staff there were so personable it felt pretty natural to be hanging out in this place. The owner stopped by the table to see how we were doing and gave us a free drink to taste test. They mentioned that they were trying to re-vamp the place and essentially make it a whole new place. So far I think with the drinks and the menu they’re off to a good start. The only thing that would make this place better is a salsa club upstairs, maybe once or twice a week…

I came here for happy hour on a Friday night. The HH specials were a pretty good deal: $ 5 «El Santo» House Margarita, $ 7 specialty margarita, $ 0.99 fish tacos, $ 4 draft beers were some of the things our table ordered from the menu. The fish tacos were decently sized for being $ 0.99, however, the tortilla was a bit hard and the fish lacked flavor. I really enjoyed the El Santo margarita and the special margarita that night was the Spicy Jalapeño and Cucumber… I highly recommend this margarita because it was refreshing and not too spicy. The décor is industrial with a Lucha Libre(Mexican wrestling) theme. There were cute wrestling rings with wrestler figurines at each table. The service was really slow and they lacked wait staff on a crowded Friday night which was a bit frustrating. One of my co-workers ordered a shrimp skewer and it came undercooked. However, they did comp the skewer and the tacos he ordered. Also, make sure to check your bill because they charged us for specialty margaritas at $ 7 when we actually ordered the El Santos at $ 5. This happened when we got our bill at the table and at the bar. All in all, a decent bar to come try their many flavors of margaritas. However, I would only go during happy hour from 3−630p.m.

Yeah… not really a good lunch spot for a large group… Went here for a going away lunch for a colleague and the place was rather empty. A few tables at the main floor and a few steps down is another area for what looked like live music and dancing(if possible). Anyways we were seated in the below area due to the large group. And honestly these guys, although open for lunch, are ill equip to handle a proper lunch service. Having only one waitress for the timeframe made it very difficult for her to handle both areas. So with that orders came in very slow. Even getting water and some chips with guac was a huge task. I actually felt sorry for her during this entire time. When food actually came out it was rather bland, albeit I did get a salad. Many others that came mentioned the food was only okay and some took a bite and didn’t even touch it after that. They don’t cater to vegetarians very well from what we experienced as well. I do hear it is a great place for happy hour and evening activities, so I’ll try it again soon for that.

If I can give this place a half star I would. The food took forever to come out. Once it did the food was cold. I found a couple raw pieces of meat in my «Taco de Asada». I also ordered an Horchata. Make sure you read the fine print. It wasn’t that good. Lol. But I will say the only thing I liked here was the chips and salsa. Warning. The chips and salsa are $ 3 bucks a bucket. Not a big deal. But I have never had to pay for chips and salsa anywhere else. I was in a party of 15 people. 99% of the party where pretty disappointed with the food and service of this establishment. We where also the only big party here aside from two small tables being served that night. So the place was not busy at all.

This place offers a seafood eating experience that will keep you wanting more!!! The chef is so talented and has a passion for cooking you can taste with every bite!!! You have to try their Smoked Tuna Tacos… It’s like heaven on a tortilla with CHEESE! I honestly didn’t expect them to be as good as they told me they were, but OHHHBOY!!! The first bite was like a first kiss experience– it’s the most unique and delicious taco ever!!! Also, try their aguachiles & camarones a la diabla… RIQUÍSIMOS!!! I’m pretty much addicted to this whole new menu– you gotta stop by and check it out for yourself! Also, try their octopus and ceviche… fresh & sooo tasty: D!!! Ps. And to drink ask for the Hibiscus Flower Margarita– their margarita selection is pretty impressive as well!!! Going back for my second«First-Kiss» again for sure!!!

Went to this place on a whim with my boyfriend last night, and what a great surprise! The inside is very laid back with lots of room and not to much noise. Lots of TVs to watch games on and just an overall good feeling. They quickly set us a table and got us out menus. Not the biggest selection for food but more than enough for drinks! This place has some incredible margaritas and a selection that never ends! Our first strawberry margarita wasn’t that great but they quickly offered us a replacement and then an extra free shot of there homemade barrel tequila. I cannot explain to you how amazing the tequila was, my boyfriend was in heaven! The second drink they brought was also so incredible, we completely forgot about the first one. The manager also came over to introduce himself and get some extra insight on why we didn’t like the drink. He was incredible friendly and super customer service oriented. We both ordered the cheese enchiladas which were really good, the red sauce was awesome! Apparently you can also adjust the spiciness, but we didn’t figured that out till later. We also had some ceviche which was by far the best I have had in the valley! And don’t let me forget about the salsa, also incredible! Overall I’d say we had a stellar visit! Everything was top notch, and you can count on us being back!

I was really liking this place tonight, first time here, drinks were awesome and the service was excellent. Then, the bill came. I was charged $ 10 a drink for regul ar black label Jack Daniels, however, the receipt read«Single Barrel Jack.» I’m a regular Jack drinker and I knew for a fact I wasn’t drinking single barrel anything. When I asked the manager he stated«That’s the way our POS system is set up.» If you believe that I have some beach front property to sell you in Arizona… Come to find out they don’t even serve Single Barrel Jack, never have according to the bartender… Why would your POS ring up a product you don’t carry? Customer beware…

Was on a solo mission to find a Margarita happy hour. Stumbled across Casa Cabo. From the outside doesn’t look way too exciting but on the inside… Mexican madness — I loved it! Their happy hour is insane! Trust me-when a Mexican tells you that the Mexican food is delicious… IT’S DELICIOUS! No joke, I felt like I was at my abuelitas house having tacos. Very tasty, very affordable and great margaritas! Thank you Reed for cursing me out and thinking that I’m Darlyna as I jokingly grabbed chalk out of your hand. Darlyna thank you for the great service. Keeping in mind I was all ALONE on this particular visit… I can only imagine how much fun I would have once I have friends around me! Who wants to meet me for margaritas! I CANNOT wait to come back here :)

We came here on a Monday night and took advantage of their happy hour. The nachos were only $ 5, but more than enough to split between three people. The margaritas were strong, tasty, and during happy hour they were cheap. Plus Monday is margarita madness so they’re discounted all night. The place was kind of a ghost town, which was great because the server was attentive, and it wasn’t loud so we could actually have a conversation without yelling over the noise of other patrons, or music. I believe I saw that they were open until 11pm on the weekdays, but at 9pm the lights went up and that was a sign that they were closing, which makes sense since business was slow, but it would have been nice to get a heads up.

I really wanted to like this place but the food won’t have me coming back for a meal. For happy hour and apps it is probably a good spot after work, but considering they are most likely catering to the studios in the area they need to step up their meals. Went for lunch with some work friends and it started well. I think a lot of the initial kinks of service has been worked out as the server was super nice, service was quick, and chips and salsa plus guac were free. Also very good salsa, fresh with some good chunks of jalapeño. But alas, its stops there. My buddy who ordered the tortilla soup could barely start it, maybe got a few bites worth. Once all the dishes came out they were pretty bland but worst of all, none of the taco meat was cooked properly. Maybe it had been sitting under the heat lamp too long, or just overcooked, but it was all extremely dry. It was not very busy so it was clearly a kitchen issue with timing. It’s clear the owners and managers are really making an effort to make this place successful so hopefully they take this as feedback because it seems like a good place and I want them to do well. Certainly open to it for happy hour and work functions, but they really need to fix some kitchen issues or they will end up out of business soon.

I had high hopes for this restaurant since the start of the property renovation. Unfortunately, I was gravely disappointed. The name doesn’t suit the menu or the atmosphere. It almost seems like this should be a sports bar but it has a live band… and a large tv playing muted music videos… The prices are out of control! I am not a cheap person by any means. I definitely recognize quality when I see or taste it, but $ 9 for 3 al pastor tacos that don’t come with any sides? There was barely a hint of flavor. Also, what kind of «Mexican» restaurant charges for chips and salsa? The $ 9 mango margarita, that for some reason was served in a small Kerr mason jar, was lacking in both flavor and alcohol. The service was slow. Our server was nice and accommodating, but she must have been stretched a little thin. The food took some time to come out considering the amount of people that were present. We were notified by our server, about 10 – 15 minutes into ordering, that the appetizer that was on the menu(Chicken Mole), is not an appetizer, even though it clearly is according to the menu, but rather should have been a dipping sauce option for the buffalo wings above. I wasn’t really feeling buffalo wings from a «Mexican» restaurant, so I declined the order, not that it had even started to be cooked. We happened to stop by on Karaōke night. We had arrived before the Karaōke had started and sat in the lower section of the restaurant. Once the band started playing, our conversation ceased. The band is incredibly loud, and we were only able to hear each other speak in between songs. I don’t think this place has found it’s identity. Can we blame it on the fact that it only opened a couple months ago(according to the hostess)? Shouldn’t that be enough to have full clarification on the menu? This place feels like a mix of a mini Cabo Wabo, that took a couple TVs from a sports bar, installed half a Karaōke bar, meets Loteria Grill, meets the Spitting Chicken… With higher prices, less food and less flavor. We will not be coming back :(

Like some other reviewers we live in the area and wanted to try a new place out. Walking up, the music was clearly so loud that we were starting to wonder if it was even a restaurant or just a bar with bar food. One thing I will say is that the host was incredibly friendly and a very nice first person to interact with when you walk in. He got us seated in the more restaurant-y area down the stairs. Yes, the music IS so painfully loud it’s hard to have a normal conversation, but it is definitely that loud bar atmosphere rather than a relaxing place to have a dinner with your spouse which is what we were hoping for. Lesson learned! Service was definitely very slow although the employees we did see working were clearly trying their best in a situation where they were probably busier than expected and didn’t have enough people scheduled to work. Drinks were tasty and strong. The food was completely nothing special. No real presentation… just average food on a plate with nothing unique about it. And absolutely overpriced for what it is. We got no chips and salsa. We walked out in agreement that this is not a place we’d voluntarily go back to.

Such a disappointment. This place has been dormant for sooooo long and then the sign went up last summer, then another six months before they actually opened. We went Saturday night and the service was slow and weird, the food was below average. My wife had some enchiladas that were not very good. My son had a quesadilla that wasn’t even as good as one we could just as easily make at home. And I had a carne asada burrito that lacked any flavor except that of tiny pieces of grizzled steak. The only redeeming thing we had was the chips and guac but for $ 7 it wasn’t worth going back. Honestly with all the Mexican places to choose from in Burbank these guys are gonna have a REALLY tough road to hoe. Why anybody would go here over Don Cuco’s, Sharkeys, or even El Torito is a mystery.

It is a wonder that anyone can even read the menu seeing that it is riddled with spelling errors. Honestly, you really don’t need to read the menu because doesn’t matter if you order the margarita or the mojito, they all taste the same. The chips and guacamole were okay, but nowhere near fresh and not worth the $ 7 we paid. My boyfriend makes better guacamole and he uses Hass avocados! The inside is clean and nice, but the entire time we were there the lights kept going from dim to bright, the music kept going from loud to soft and there was this horrendous pounding coming from the kitchen, like they were beating something to death. I realize that this place just opened, but they have to get it together if they want to survive. Pretty sure this was my one and only trip to Casa what’s it’s name.
