Clothes Mentor

Whoever is doing the hiring may want to consider employing people who actually have a sense for fashion. The young ladies who currently work there now spend more time sifting through items that they want for themselves. They are constantly in the dressing rooms, which maximize the waiting time for actual customers. I’ve also noticed that during the last few times that I’ve sold some items there, they appear to be a little biased when it comes to a certain group of people offering them next to nothing in $$$.

Decent selection, especially shoes and purses. However, service leaves much to be desired.

Be careful with your purchases! The practices of this establishment are quite manipulative. I found 2 dresses that obviously needed a shrug or something to cover them, In another part of the store, I found the matching jackets that were the same print, size, and brand on a different rack but OBVIOUSLY part of a 2 piece set. The biggest problem is that the total for both pieces is as much as purchased brand new. The workers are incredibly rude and seriously unprofessional! Ignoring shoppers is never a good thing! I saw about 5 or 6 employees with about as many shoppers and there was NO interaction whatsoever! I didn’t buy anything because I really didn’t find anything I liked but more so because I heard an employee as she completely dismissed a shopper’s question. I was about to try on a pair of shorts which was the only thing that remotely interested me but put them back and left. I think it’s a great concept but very poor execution that is being done already aka Platos Closet which is a lot more pleasant to shop. In addition, Platos Closet has trendier, better quality clothing, as well as, more courteous, pleasant, and attentive employees. I truly hope they address the problem areas, because I never want to see a business fail. Having business practicess that display characteristics of professionalism and integrity are important in making shoppers want to return. I just don’t see that here. I would start with educating the employees on improving friendliness, attentiveness, and professionalism. (It’s like if you don’t like a TV program, just turn the channel.) Well, I will not shop here again for these reasons.

This review is for clothes mentor! The platos closet review is the first draft. I haven’t shopped at clothes mentor but the manager did get I touch with me about my oops. For some reason when I clicked on platos closet it put in clothes mentor. The manager that got back to me was very polite and even thanked me for the review but let me know that they aren’t the same store. I don’t know what they store has to offer yet but it seems like really nice staff and management! Got my vote. I will stop in!

I love this store. I just recently discovered when I Moved back to the area. I have sold quite a few clothes here and they don’t give a bad cut. my only problem is that sometimes I don’t think the clothes they have previously bought have been inspected so well. Example I was in love with a red dress that I was going to buy today. I had troubles in the dressing room getting it zipped myself so asked the staff to help which of course they are amazing so did. Turns out the zipper was broken. Then I looked down and saw a stain on the top of the dress. Granted, it could have been there from someone previously trying on but still upsetting when you have searched racks and racks and find exactly what you have been looking for and find out it’s not gonna work. Other than that I love it there. Anything they don’t buy take to platos closet and they will since they tend to buy more worn items. Nice selection and semi good prices. Reward system for frequent buyers is also a plus!

I took a basket of very fashionable quality clothing items and shoes to this store (Sperry’s, Nine West, Ann Taylor, Gap, Old Navy, etc.) After reviewing them I was told there was NOTHING they would purchase. However, there are items for sale in their store that are stained, too worn to purchase and outdated. Never wasting my time here again. Their buyers need an education on style :)

This is an awesome store. They are super friendly. Fair Prices for trades. Great sales. Good prices. Has nice selection of designer purses. Women’s and maternity clothes only.
