What an honor(and surprise) to be the first to do a review. We worked most directly with Beth Levine at Windows of the World. She is very knowledgeable and tells it like it is. When you are spending north of $ 10K on a trip, you want facts, not fiction. She has been to Alaska and was very familiar with the details of how to make this a fabulous trip. (A 2012 trip to Italy with a different travel agent/agency, who had never been to Italy was a mistake I will never make again. It showed me that I need to find a Beth Levine who can enhance my investment.) Beth assisted a group of 10 of us on an Alaska land/sea cruise. She directed us to Princess, which was surprisingly good. We had done a previous cruise in 2005 on Royal Caribbean and expected Princess to be lower quality. We were mistaken. Food, service, cleanliness was all great. The entertainment is just okay, but you don’t spend thousands on a trip for cruise entertainment. And for Alaska, you spend it on excursions to see this magnificent part of the world. If you can, tack on Vancouver for 2 – 3 days. The Butchart Gardens are spectacular; and dwarf anything that the Chicago Botanical Gardens has. Whatever you do, take a helicopter to the Mendenhall Glacier near Juneau. It’s the best $ 1,000 bucks you’ll ever spend.
