A great place to grab a book and bask in the sun all afternoon. Kids run excitedly with their swim goggles and life jackets, while their parents dutifully remind them to «walk!» The most interesting aspect is the music choices by pool management. One minute, «Gin and Juice» by Snoop Dogg is on, while«It’s Raining Men» is on during another. Regardless — go with it — you’ll be amused either way! The hotdog/pretzel/frozen pizza/ice cream fare also cannot be missed.

This pool isn’t as fancy as some other suburbs but it works for us. Plus, they have reasonable summer pass prices. The wading pool has a nice squishy surface with zero entry and a couple water sprayers, so its perfect for young kids. The main pool is pretty basic, just a big rectangle with one diving board. There is one big water slide. Lots of lifeguards, and its never all that busy over there. I only wish they had more morning hours — the earliest they open is 11, and the main pool doesn’t even open for regular use until 12:30(just the wading pool is available, lap swim in the main pool).

Buffalo Grove redid this pool in 2011. There’s a baby play area, a water slide that does not end in the pool(the end is capped off and users splash into the water at the bottom of the slide) and a basic square pool with your shallow end, deep end, and diving boards. I loved this pool last summer, I could bring my three small kids here and put them in the provided life vests. My son learned to swim here and hopefully my daughter will do the same this coming summer. I was impressed with the attentiveness of the lifeguards. BG did a nice job on this neighborhood pool.
