My first threading experience was in India many years ago. When I returned to NYC, I tried to find it. Back then, not as easy to find as it is today. In NYC threading has become very popular, and there are a ton of places that offer it. It does seem to be a method that originated in India centuries ago.
For those that don’t know, its an alternative to waxing for eyebrows (and I suppose other things, but I am only familiar with eyebrows).
This is a chain. This location is easy to find, clean, walk-​ins are welcome, the employees I have seen are polite and competent. And fast. Impressive.
If, like me, hot wax near your eyes is not for you, this could be a good place to try. The process does not take long at all. It costs $ 12 here, $ 14 – 15 with tip.
I come here a few times a year. Easy, fast, clean.
