The salon was nice. I was happy to get a same-day appointment, which I made using the Unilocal appointment maker. Overall, they did a nice job but it was nothing special to me and I don’t feel the desire to make it my regular. I had longer hair and wanted a dramatic A line cut, keeping my length as much as possible. She ended up going a lot shorter in the front than I had envisioned. Still looks good though and easy to maintain.

Horrible experience. My appointment was for 1 pm, I showed up 10 minutes early and was told my stylist would be with me shortly. The place was empty except for 1 other customer on a Friday afternoon(1st hint something was amiss). A few minutes later a stylist came out with color for the other customer. Can’t be my person I’m thinking, she’s just starting a color which takes awhile. So, I sit and wait, and wait and wait. No one says anything to me and I’m only feet from the receptionist and the other stylist. By 1:20 I was about to walk out when the stylist coloring the lady’s hair turned around and introduced herself, Meredith, as my stylist. WHAT? I’ve been sitting here for 30 min., 5 feet from you and you couldn’t say anything like«I’m sorry, I’m running behind, etc.» Total lack of professionalism. I should have run then and there. But no, I have driven from Niagara Falls and waited so I let her cut my hair. Butcher is a better word for what happened. A 5 year old with kids scissors could have done a better job. It was crazy uneven on all sides and she kept saying it was fine. After blowing it dry it was obvious that the sides were totally off so she tried fixing it by chopping some more. Finally, before I had no more hair, I said stop. I was extremely unhappy but paid and left. Hair grows but I now have a raggedy, bushy mop on my head. Must be her friends writing the other reviews.

The environment, the products, the service and the style were perfect. I am very happy with my cut, my usual salon unable to give me an appointment I stumbled across fuse, and Meredith gave me exactly what I was looking for like I’d always been going to her. Very knowledgeable and informative about products and how to use them, you’ll walk away prepared to style your new hair. I would definitely come again!

Trying out a new salon can be really stressful, especially when you’re a very light(artificial) blonde. I studied up on the Unilocal reviews and decided to give Fuse a call. Eric answered the phone and when I requested an appointment with someone who was good at coloring platinum hair he assured me that everyone there was very comfortable doing light blondes and booked me with Chelsea. I got in the next day! The experience was fantastic. Chelsea looked at the photos I brought in and went to work. The last stylist I was going to always seemed a bit nervous working with light cool blondes and I always had to return a day later to lift my color past«butter blonde» to «icy blonde». Chelsea didn’t have any difficulty at all getting it right the first time! Her cut and style was also fantastic. I waited to write this review to see if the toner would keep, or if I would have to head back for an additional rinse. I’m happy to report that it’s been two weeks and no brassy, gold tones pushing through. I will disclose that I invested(note the word choice– invested) in shampoo, conditioner, and toner shampoo. I think it’s critical to maintain a delicate pale blonde. But the products and service are in line with other salons offering signature service and with such beautiful results, friendly and confident service, and quick scheduling, I am sold and happy to tout the talent of an excellent stylist. Kudos!

When I moved back to Buffalo I searched high and low for the perfect salon. Meredith and the whole crew at Fuse saved me! I have never been happier with the talents of a stylist as I am with Meredith at Fuse! Great hair, products, vibe, and service. Fantastic place!

For a very small place, Fuse seems to have tons of talent! I visited for the first time a couple weeks ago, just for a hair cut. First, it’s a great atmosphere. Lots of good music, friendly faces, nice décor. They also have new artwork up every month(I think it’s every month) that is for sale by local artists. You should expect to pay for a high quality cut — it isn’t cheap but it’s pretty on par with other salons in Buffalo. You’ll get a full head massage(also known as shampooing and conditioning.), something to drink if you want it, good conversation, etc. It makes getting a hair cut really enjoyable! They also have a referral program that gets you and your referral a discount, which I haven’t had the opportunity to take advantage of yet. Finally, my hair cut was perfect! Chelsey always knows exactly what I mean when I say, «well, shorter but not too short, some parts shorter than others, I need different bangs but I don’t know how.). Can’t wait to come back!

As long as I live in Buffalo Meredith(owner) will do my hair. I take pride on having«cool hair» and changing the style of it every so often. Meredith is the only person I trust to cut it and make it look good! Everyone at the salon is very professional, they play great music and have greats teas. Yeah, they’ll offer something to drink when you come in.

I’ve had three haircuts here and highlights/corrective color done here. Meredith(owner and stylist) took care of me and I was happy with the results every time! I got introduced to this place(2011) from a coworker who’s haircut and color looked phenomenal. They also have a referral discount(refer x amt of people get x discount) so that’s cool! The haircuts: I went in and Meredith was very attentive during my consultation. She listened and didn’t balk at any of my concerns or suggestions. She also didn’t get scared when I asked for her suggestions. She had plenty of ideas to offer.(I know its weird, but I love letting my stylists have say sometimes. After all they’re professionals they should know whats good and what not for certain concerns. Its kind of my «test.») Anyways Meredith passed the test and I went back three more times. Each time the haircut was executed beautifully and I get many compliments. Every time I’m in there, there’s always someone leaving raving about their hair, and their hair is awesome! Meredith does ask if you would like to buy products, but its not pushy at all. One time I bought an HBL spray mousse(30 bucks). Totally worth the money and I hate spending money! It made my hair soft and practically styled my hair for me. The color: I’ve been coloring my hair on my own for about 2 decades now. I kinda know what I’m doing, but I never do highlights on my own, I know my limits. I colored my hair my usual dark brown, but I used a different brand and it came out goth black. Way, way too dark. I called and spoke to Eric(another stylist) and told him my concerns. He said I would need corrective color done but it sounds like highlights would work to solve the problem. Meredith didn’t judge me. She suggested I get lighter highlights to break up the dark color. She showed me multiple samples til we agreed and what would work.(Again everyone wants to make me blonde, I’m Asian no thanks.)She executed the lightening process, every strand was an even blonde, which freaked me out with my coloring. She then toned the highlights til they were a lightish blonde/brown. A little lighter than I would’ve liked but still very pretty and did break up the color. The highlights were thin and wispy(not chunky) just like I wanted. The color lasted pretty long considering I wash my hair at least once if not twice a day. I then put my own color on them and the highlights took them up no problem and still looked great! While I was there Eric was fixing a girl’s bad dye/highlight job from another salon. He too didn’t judge and just spent hours fixing it. Her hair was bad being a fake blond and the previous job fucking it up more. Eric is a color master, I know I was there hours during the process. Overall: The only reason I haven’t been back here in awhile is that I’m flat ass broke. The prices are on par for what Buffalo charges(which I think is too much, I mean seriously, its Buffalo…) Great stylists and colorists!
