A fairly standard, but well stocked Chinese Buffet. Inexpensive for lunch, and I have not visited for dinner. The food is good, and is replenished quite quickly. The staff has often been fast and friendly, with only a few exceptions. Hot tea and cold pop is available. There is plenty of seating, and they can quickly accommodate a group. There is high staff turnover, with each ‘class’ staying for chunks of time. It makes me curious about the status of these workers, and it is my hope that they are treated and paid appropriately. No crab leg bonanza here(which means there will be no shoving matches at the buffet). However, I’ve been here far too many times to have any real complaints. It’s good. It’s cheap. It’s within walking distance to me. If you’re in the neighborhood, no worries here. Sadly for my waistline, I will be back.

New name, your basic American Chinese buffet. Mostly edible, no sushi, I didn’t get sick this time. The three of us had a nice meal, good variety of food. Place was repainted and looked cleaner.

I think this place should really be closed. When I was younger I would come here with friends because it was on a bus route and I didn’t know what else the world had to offer. As I got older and would come here to eat, I begin to see all of the reasons why I would not be returning. I think the sanitation level here is filthy. The clams were sitting in dirty water and I’ve seen staff here preparing food in one of the customer eating booths. Never again!

This place was terrible. The owners kid was riding around the aisles on a tricycle. There were very few options. And my girlfriend found a piece of metal scrub inside her mouth while she was eating something. Ruined our entire meal for us.

When you come to any buffet you can’t expect a gourmet and luxurious experience, just like you can’t go to McDonald’s expecting a fantastic steak. You come to buffets for the cheap and convenient comfort food. New Star is no different. I do have one problem, though: A toilet in the women’s restroom didn’t flush. Like what? You go to one buffet you’ve been to them all.

Being really hungry and longing for the taste of chinese food… that’s what gets you in. The absurdly low price keeps you coming back(but not that often). Food = 2 star «Equipment» = 1 star(seats are kinda gross) Price = 3 star (+)parking (-)self worth Just get takeout. Advice I seem to forget once a year.

Asked for a milk, they gave me milk. Asked for a refill, they said no. Asked if they were out of milk, they said no… It was really weird.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars! I’ve never been to a place with such AWFULANDRUDE service. I decided to make an account on here just so I could warn others about this resturant. I came here with with a large group(about 17 people), the hostess was unwelcoming and very very mean, we were all asian except for 1 person in our party, so when we all went to get out food the hostess stopped the white person and made a big scene about how she was trying to sneak in. I mean I can understand mistaking them for a different party, but no need to make a scene and embarrass them. While we were eating, the staff was talking about our group and making fun of us in their langauge. My uncle could understand them and went to complain. I’ve never felt so degraded before. Stay away from this place!!!
