Carpet Smart

After posting the below comment and actually contacting a manager. Carpet Smart stepped up and dealt with the issues I had. The owner and manager are extremely helpful in rectifying the issues I had and are great people to deal with. They did not ask for me to change this or to take it down so I thought it was only fair for me to tell everyone that my below comment was because the salesman I spoke to did nothing and didn’t tell his manager I even called. After submitting this and contacting the manager directly my issues were resolved in a very professional manor. Thank you upper management I appreciate your help in my issues.
I just wanted to take a second here and tell you the horror story I came home to last night after my carpet was installed.
1) The installers removed and never put back some lower shelves I had in the closets. They were left in a stack in my bathroom.
2) Some of the shelves that were removed were broke in the process.
3)Some of my sliding doors were left just leaning on the wall.
4) My cable box was disconnected and left in the bathroom sink.
5)They left my house a mess. There is scrap carpet all over and no one even thought to vacuum the little pieces of lose carpet.
6)They chipped the paint off the walls.
7) Disconnected the garage door manually then proceeded to leave it disconnect for me to fix.
8) The salesman said I was getting the «best» pad you offer and it feels like I am walking on plywood.
This is the absolute worst carpet installation I have ever seen in my life. I cannot believe they would have installers that feel it is okay to leave a house in that condition. This is absolutely disgusting. I will not be recommending or purchasing anything from Carpet Smart ever.

The installers just left and I am very happy with the service, they showed up exactly when they said they would, cleaned up and took out the trash when they left. Bruce and Shawn did a great job. Our sales man Harold Wood promised me my install by the end of the week and it was done. Will definitely use them again. Carpet looks better in the house than on the roll… good price too.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. We came in and spoke to a Frank. He was the rudest person I’ve encountered in a very long time. Frank treated us like we were morons any time we asked a question. At some point I made a remark about putting a different type of carpet in the basement because of moisture (avoiding padding due to mold and mildew) and he looked and me and said «no carpet is gonna remove moisture it’s not some magic carpet». Then he continued to make snarky remarks and said he would have to add a 100 dollar fee for some asinine reason. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. A day later we went down to Kenny Carpets on the corner of Walden and Union and purchased our carpet from a very pleasant older man, he was friendly and helpful plus it was cheaper!

We recently moved into a new home that was just carpeted all throughout. We were allowed to move in early and we found some rug imperfections. After chatting we discovered the previous owners had also noticed these as well. We had the carpet company come out and we showed them the problems and they told us we should vacuum in a certain direction and with different rug types there were different imperfections. They also stated that we could contact the previous owners and that they could call and have the carpet redone or pick out a completely different style.
I advised them I would contact the old owners and be in touch. I discussed this with the old owners and they stated they would personally go in to the store to handle the matter. After they visited the store they relayed to us that the owner stated he had no idea who I was and did not state anything of the sort. Mind you I had written down my name and number for him when he personally came to the house to handle the matter. Basically, every place is the same so why deal with horrible service from this one.
