Did not have enough staff on so you had to wait nearly 30 mins(some people more) for a table when 1⁄3 of the tables were empty clean and ready to go. Our server was down right RUDE, not pleasant in the least, rushed us, interrupted us multiple times when we were trying to order cause apparently we weren’t doing it fast enough. When my daughter changed her mind last minute(she’s 9 with Down syndrome) and I took a minute to clarify with her what she wanted the server rudely said«I thought you said you were ready!» But when we were ready to order 15 mins earlier, when we placed our appetizer order, she walked away from us! When our appetizers came out the pretzels were over cooked, the spinach dip was over cooked to the point the top of it was browned and hard, and the chips that came with it we couldn’t decide if they were really old or what was wrong with them but we didn’t eat more than half of them and the cheeseburger rolls had WAAAAY to much pickle in them(we’ve had them many times before and enjoyed them, this time only 2 of the 4 of us would eat them!) As we waited for our food we watched our server walk up to the table next to us where the gentleman had put his fork down to take a drink and the server walked over and picked up his plate to take it without even asking if he was done. The man grabbed his plate back told her he wasn’t done and didn’t appreciate what she did and WITHOUT an apology she just walked away. The man literally held his plate while he finished his food afraid she’d take it again if he didn’t. He looked at us and said«what is her problem? I thought it was just us but I’ve seen her act the same way to you guys.» We couldn’t agree more. We waited WAAAAY to long between appetizers and dinner. Our dinner were good no complaints there(the only reason I’m giving them 2 stars). I did ask the server for a side of ranch to go since I hadn’t touched my salad and wanted to take it home. I asked for it when our APPETIZERS came out. Reminded her several times and her response was«there’s nothing I can do about it, it has to come from the cooks, we’re not allowed to have anything to do with that». WHAT? So I just asked for a little cup to transfer the ranch I had into it. That never came! Then we get our check and she charged us for the refills of our iced teas(one of which we never asked for) and we each only had 1 refill, which is supposed to be FREE!(We did get those taken off the bill) We go to this Applebee’s and another in our area about once a month sometimes more and generally we get great service from great servers and the food is good. Things aren’t always perfect but mistakes happen and I have never and would never write a poor review because a single thing or a few minor things weren’t perfect.(My husband has been in the restaurant industry for 26 years!) However, tonight we were celebrating our son’s high-school graduation and wanted to take him to dinner. Unfortunately this is NOT a dinner we can remember fondly. I don’t even know the servers name cause she never told us, but we were seated in the front of the restaurant(closest to NFBLVD) and she was an older lady with dark brown hair.(Just in case someone from Applebee’s reads this) I understand we can all have a bad day but it is completely unprofessional to take it out on your GUESTS, most especially when they are there celebrating something wonderful, which she knew we were.(There were several other graduates there, and she came right out and asked us when she 1st walked up to our table«are you part of the graduation?» We told her we were and that our son just graduated. It was clearly just a fact finding question cause she didn’t even acknowledge him with a congratulations or anything. It was just weird, not that we were looking for congratulations but when you ask a question like that and get the response she was given its just common courtesy to respond with something along the lines of congratulations. Just saying!) It will probably be a very long time before we return to Applebee’s!

I’ve had great food from Applebee’s and some pretty bad food from Applebee’s. At this location I unfortunately got the latter. I ordered a kind of chicken with rice and received it pretty cold. It tasted okay but it upset my stomach later on after me and my boyfriend left. His food was better then mine. On the upside our server was lovely and she got a good tip from us!

The manager is a fat ass lazy peirce of shit. Ask me why and I’ll explain. It was my birthday dinner with my boyfriend who is only here once a month and I wanted to share the divine ribs with him because the ribs are divine and I asked for a full rack and they gave me a half rack and when I asked why the manager said it was all I needed to eat

Haven’t had good service here lately, i don’t know if they are giving their staff too many tables or what but the service needs and upgrade. The food is decent and the menu needs new items or a kick!

Waited over 10 minutes no one came to help! 8 waiters walking around. There was one server literally sitting at the end of the bench doing nothing and another that walked behind us saying that she wasn’t that busy. Very disappointed in a restaurant we used to love to go to. P. s. It was around 1130 am the place was dead!

Okay i know, Buffalo is full of local favorite spots. Why settle for a franchise restaurant? Well ya girl can resist $ 4 late night drinks! After 9pm certain drinks are $ 4 and certain apps are half off. I ordered a margarita and they did not skimp out on the alcohol. I also ordered the 2 for $ 8 apps, a chicken quesadilla and chicken tacos. Both were actually surprisingly satisfying. Though the food experience were a delight, our waiter, Dave’s mellow personality made my group and I want to leave the restaurant as soon as possible. I would love to return back but hopefully we’ll have a friendly waiter next time!

No, just no. Coming from someone who is against chain restaurants, Applebee’s is just the worst. I give them two stars because whenever I am dragged here, the staff is always very helpful and nice. The food is awful. All pre-frozen, or at least tastes that way. I once got food poisoning from the fried shrimp, hoping it was a safe bet. Guess not!

Das Essen war zwar sehr Lecker, aber von der Portionsgröße habe ich mehr erwartet. Die Preise sind auch in Ordnung.

I met up with my High School friend for lunch today, and we each had a great combo lunch. I had the chef salad with a Chicken Wrap, and she had the soup of the day with the Chicken Wrap. Delicious, and great value as well.

Second visit in a month. Poor food. Quality has gone downhill. Portions have decreased. Example. Brew pub pretzels are one of my favorites. They use to give five now two. Ordered a burger well done, it came to me saying mooooo it was so rare. Manager looked very sloppily dressed and never came to see us after a complaint. Not good Applebee’s.

Had a terrible experience at this specific location. Went for the after 9pm happy hour and got a margarita, which was listed as being $ 4 on the happy hour menu. When the bill came the margarita was almost $ 8. I asked our server about it and she said«he»(I assume owner or manager) took margarita’s off the happy hour menu and it was full price. I told her it was still listed and requested the correct $ 4 price. She went to speak with«him» and said he wouldn’t honor the price. I asked to speak to the manager myself and he wouldn’t even come to our table. Diane, our server, was so nice that she said she would pay the difference herself. A server should never have to do this and I still paid the full bill. If something is advertised as being $ 4 management cannot randomly change the price. Whether this was server error for not warning us, or restaurant error for not changing their menu, the $ 4 price should have been honored. Not honoring it was extremely poor customer service. This experience made me never want to visit this location again.

The décor in this place is nice with the colors they use throughout. The waitress was nice but it was hard to get her attention, she was really busy taking care of a number of tables. We ordered 3 entrees: shrimp and chicken, burger with baked potato, and riblets and fries. All meals were prepared well. The fries weren’t that fresh, and a little hard.

I have been around the proverbial park several times but this is a new one on me. Let me tell you about my recent excursion to Applebee’s. My daughter and I stopped for lunch while CHRISTmas shopping. We were greeted promptly and seated immediately. Our waitress appeared and we ordered a couple of burgers with fries. Last time I had some the strawberry lemonade was first class so I ordered it. Last time… this time it tasted like … Just weak, funky, and old. Gruesome! Pretty simple order right? 45 minutes later we began to wonder if they had gone out to kill the cow? My daughter pigeonholed our waitress and asked about our food. The answer… the computer was down and they couldn’t cook properly. My burger was done but my daughters was not even in yet. I’m not sure what the computer has to do with cooking a hamburger and I’m not sure I want to. We asked to see the manager and were told he could not see us as he was trying to fix the computer. We left… yeah, I know Fox E. I should have known better. Oh well… they comped our drinks. Never again will my shadow grace their door. And I am the duke of this Applebee’s!

As far as Applebee’s goes, this is a good location. Most recently, I had the quesadilla burger, which honestly could be greatly improved by spreading the burger meat flatter to cover more of the taco shell. Aside from that, the service was fast and the waitress was very friendly. Late night app specials are great for groups of friends to share some nom noms and a drink.

Horrible service. Food was cold and raw. Expected cooked food. And at least warm food from an Applebee’s. Waited so long for them to send it back and re cook that I had to take it home. It was still bad. Did I mention how bad the service is?

Good if you want something a step above fast food. The changes to the menu in the last couple of years has put some decent things on it. I love the potato twisters appetizer, that spicy cheese sauce is really good. I made the mistake of trying one of the«stir fry» dishes, it was terrible. The sauce was incredibly sweet and just didn’t taste good.

After working for several chain restaurants back in my day I have a sort of stigma associated with them and rarely go. However, last night my family and I were ready for dinner, wanted to dine somewhere we could look at each other and converse but we were also in sweats and didn’t feel like getting«out to dinner» ready. We gave Applebee’s a shot. Came in around 9 and the place was steady but we were seated immediately. Our server was busy so the host came and took our drink order. We didn’t care that our server wasn’t able to make it over to our table because we were occupied with the tablet at each table consisting of games and puzzles to keep guests occupied while they wait. At first I thought really, technology is seriously destroying the world! After my dramatic moment my family and I found ourselves playing the games which turned out to be the perfect distraction. Our sever was very friendly and informative about the dishes. The menu is very large so the fact that he was able to tell me which dish would contain more salt thoroughly impressed me. Between the four of us we got the tortilla and French onion soup(YUM) Roma Chicken off the Under 550 calories section(Sauce didn’t match the rest of the dish at all but I felt like it was a healthier option so I ate it all and it was just fine) Dad got Chicken and blackened shrimp(Salty) and my sisters got steak with mashed potatoes which was cooked perfectly. Overall I was happy with the experience. $ 52 for all that.

Dining experience can vary as much as the weather can change and here in WNY that can be alot of ups and downs. It’s been 3 weeks since my initial review of Applebee’s(Barnes & Noble/Target Plaza) and — in between — I’ve visited twice more. I could rate the other visits as good to fair based on a few criteria. But today’s experience was somewhat less than ideal. I ordered the Chicken Bruschetta Salad and didn’t receive it for 22 minutes. The reason stated was that(apologetically) they were waiting on the grilled chicken. When it arrived the grilled chicken was slightly above room temperature and the fried mozarrella scoops were cold. The balsamic reduction that topped it was excellent and sweet. The champagne vinaigrette went well with the salad but I found a puddle of it beneath the greens at the bottom. The grilled chicken, aside from the temperature problem, had some gristle in it.(Parts is parts?) Overall I’d say that the meal was a disappointment and that somewhere between the back-of-the house and front-of-the house my meal sat unattended. Other issues over the past few visits include: Specialty iced teas — the price point on an iced tea is $ 3.49. How outrageous is that? Especially when you can get a very tasty Arnold Palmer tea or half-and-half from Arizona for $ 0.99.(I’m just sayin’.) Noise level — This franchise, at most locations, is noisy. But in these 4 recent visits I’ve found that it was actually the staff making the majority of the noise. I didn’t even realize that the sound was on while I was watching the game. One of the contributing factors is that — apparently — there’s a lot of staff hanging around with nothing to do(I’m just thinking of my salad sitting in the back). There were 3 chatting at the hostess stand today and 3 on the east side of the bar and 2 more on the west side of the bar. I could tell you about which boyfriend is about to get dumped and which server is going to a concert next week. The problem is that they were only a few feet away from some of the diners. Sometimes — not always — people just want to relax and enjoy their date, their family or even some time away from the office in a chill atmosphere. On a positive note Meredith(server) apologized profusely for the salad and Dan(manager) handed me a GC when he found out that the meal had gone wrong. The recipe’s come down from corporate — but the service and prep is all local. Keep working at it guys. Phantom Diners are volunteers for
