damn good prices for gutbusting portions of quality chinese food.(mmm, spicy orange chicken). and it doubles as a hawaiian place and a frozen yogurt shop(that doesn’t serve frozen yogurt).

I hate that reviewers do not have the option to rate zero stars — because this place is undeserving of just one. I came here weeks ago when I finally decided to leave campus & have lunch during my hour break between classes. this place sounded tempting, so I came here & ordered spam musubis & a loco moco + a drink. my total came to almost $ 14, which is steep for lunch but I justified it that maybe it was worth it. holy shit. I couldn’t be any more wrong. the wait took about 10 – 15 mins despite there being very few customers. when my food is «ready» & I take it back to my table… I open the box to find that there is absolutely no gravy on my food. it’s completely dry. maybe it’s my mistake to assume that traditional loco mocos all come w beef patty, egg, rice, AND gravy. I don’t know? I assumed they all came that way. I take a bite anyway, assuming it’s fine without it — the beef patty is tasteless, rough & hard. I couldn’t even cut through it properly with my knife & fork. i take my food & tell the cashier behind the counter that there isn’t any gravy.(maybe it can be salvaged?) she says something like«wow it must be a bad day for the cooks!» & takes it back. I shrug it off, until it takes another 8 – 10 mins. all they have to do is pour gravy on my food. I’m more agitated at this point & try the spam musubi. there’s somethin off. the aftertaste was awful & unlike any other spam musubi I’ve tried. when my food is finally back — I open the box again… to zero gravy. I’m SO over it. I threw everything away. never, ever again.

It’s weird to see an extremely empty food place during dining hours. but oh my God when my boyfriend came in today it was DEAD. The only reason why I really wanted to try the place was the frozen yogurt to be honest. OFCOURSE the damn thing is out of order and no longer serving yogurt at all. wow take it off the sign then right? My bf ordered the bbq Hawaiian mix and just sitting inside the restaurant. it’s so sad here so. deeeeaaaddd. It’s so filthy too, looks like the floor hasn’t been swept in days the tables haven’t been cleaned either everything is either sticky oily or dusty whatever you look at. it has some sort of residue of some sort. As for the smell? You’d expect the place to smell like food right? WRONG. The only odor in this place is BLEEACHHHBLEACHBLEAACH. What the hell even is this place? It feels like a morgue that sells food and non-existent yogurt. As far as the food… I’m not tasting anything that comes from a morgue… we’ve been waiting so long that I’m beginning to think that this is how they catch their victims.

I was just at this fast food place. I am highly disappointed in the manager there. One of the employees was going to have some fresh chow mein noodles made up for me because the noodles in the warming tray looked dry. The manager didn’t seem to want to have some fresh noodles made so I left. I will no longer go there. Manager, if you want to keep customers, then you need to step it up on the quality of the food. There are much better restaurants out there.

We came in here because The Girl(age 4) wanted a frozen yogurt and I wanted Spam Musubi. They no longer sell frozen yogurt. There were bugs/Flys in the Smoothie/Boba add-ins. The trays were open, no sneeze guard or covers over the balls and fruit jellies. The restaurant smells. The Chinese food looked old, greasy, and glazed over. The cashier was chatting with a friend and we waited to be helped. I ordered two piece Spam musubi… $ 3.75 menu price. It took a while considering there was no one else there. We waited ten minutes for the two piece. It was good flavor sauce. Right size seaweed covered all Spam and rice. Rice was sticky, but Spam was undercooked. I mean, what were they doing back there?! I don’t like how you can’t see the kitchen. We won’t be back here.

Came to get dinner. Super excited haven’t had Chinese food in forever. How are you gonna be a Chinese food place and not have any rice?! Or egg rolls. Seriously?! This place use to be amazing.

Friendly service. Great boba selection. Katsu chicken is good. Korean BBQ beef is very good. Chow mein is delicious!

Well first I would like to say the customer service is awesome! I was greeted with a smile and the person helping me was great. I am giving 2 stars because the food was horrible. The chowmein was cold, fried rice had a hair in it, orange chicken was not good. Just food overall was gross. I will not be eating here anymore.

I really wanted some chicken katsu and my friends always told me that this place served up some of that fire so I decided to give it a shot. I walked in and saw that there were a lot of choices on the menu so whatever you’re in the mood for, this place probably has it. I ordered the katsu and it came out ASAP and started to dig in. It was nice crispy and juicy, the Mac salad was pretty good, and they give you plenty of rice. Bottom line: this place is a good place to go to satisfy any Hawaiian food cravings.

I dropped by here for a late lunch and I received service quickly which is a plus. The prices are pretty decent, however the food is fabulous! I love the chow mein; it’s seasoned right and isn’t dry like Panda Express. I think I’m going to convert from a Panda Express fan to a China Bowl fan now! The employee that served me was friendly and sweet. She gave me huge proportions of food; I didn’t expect there to be so much. The container was already full but she kept on trying to squeeze in more food for me. The container didn’t even close properly because of the amount of food! I noticed that they no longer serve frozen yogurt which is a bummer but they still offer smoothies for anyone who would want one!

I come here only for the Hawaiian BBQ. It’s basically everything you would expect for Hawaiian BBQ plates. They have all the same combos and Mac salad/rice/cabbage accompanying. The Katsu and fried shrimp are always a little too crispy/over done for my taste. But everything else is basically your standard blue plates

My husband and I tried this place about two months ago and it was really good. I had the chicken Katsu and he had Chinese food. If I left a review back then, I would’ve given it 4 or 5 stars. However, we went last night to pick up dinner to go and it was terrible. I never leave bad review unless it is really bad… And it was. We ordered two chicken Katsu plates. I didn’t think I needed to inspect it before going home, but I should have! We got home, opened it up, and both had SUPER burnt Katsu, with way too much batter on there– hardly any chicken beneath the burnt inedible batter. When I did get to the chicken, it looked like previously cooked chicken that they battered and fried. It was very disappointing to say the least. I won’t be returning again.

I’d give it a 3.5 if there was a half star available. I was at Sally Beauty Supply next door craving Yogurtland. While this was no Yogurtland, I decided to try it without first reading Unilocal reviews, which rarely happens. Sadly, two of their machines were out of order, so I couldn’t try the dulce de leche froyo. They also didn’t have taro, which was a bummer. I ended up with the chocolate and strawberry. They were decent and they had a lot of toppings available, which was great. The only thing was the fruits needed to be refilled because barely any strawberry was left. I wouldn’t mind stopping by here for the froyo again, though. No complaints. Since I also didn’t want to deal with cooking dinner, I figured I’d order food from here because, aside from frozen yogurt, they also have Chinese food and Hawaiian BBQ. I decided to order the garlic shrimp, which was made-to-order(love!). It came with two scoops of rice, macaroni salad, and veggies sauteed with the shrimp. It was actually tasty and they didn’t skimp on the amount of shrimp. The macaroni salad was also pretty decent. I would take a chance and order other items off their menu. Bottom line: this place is very convenient for a meal and dessert. Food seems decent overall. I haven’t tried anything else, but there’s a good chance I’ll return.

I was looking forward to the Hawaiian bbq when my friends said that’s what they were getting for lunch, but lo and behold I was standing in front of what looked nothing like to be a Hawaiian bbq place. Of course, my expectations failed me as this Unilocal page indicates this place emphasizes the more Americanized Chinese variety of food like the one chain who adore black & white animals so much. The inside was laid out in a similar fashion with all the food premade and sitting under a heat lamp. I was determined to get my Hawaiian bbq food, so that’s what I ordered. BIGMISTAKE. I took it to go so I did not take a look inside before I left. Their katsu was mostly batter that contained hardly any chicken. It was super dry. Their beef was even worse. It was crumbly, dry, and smelled funny. For some stubborn reason, I ate it and it tasted funny, too. It was clearly overcooked; I suspect that it might have been spoiled and so they overcooked it to mask it. :shrugs: Just a guess, but that doesn’t take away from how the overall terrible quality of food. China Bowl– you’re blacklisted.

This was a, «lets go to dinner on the Discover card.» kind of night. We were in the mood for Hawaiian/Chinese cuisine so we stopped off here since we haven’t been back in a long time. We noticed they didn’t post anything about accepting Discover so we figured we’d still go in and ask. We walked in a bit later in the evening, roughly 7-ish I think and noticed not much was left to pick from but we asked anyways. No, they DONOT accept Discover, so we left! WOMPWOMP, onto the next! In all seriousness though, this place is really good! We’ve eaten here several times before and have never left disappointing from either the food or the frozen yogurt! Personally, not as good as YogurtLand but while your here, its worth the try. I deducted a star because it shouldn’t be that hard for someone to take my money… Money is money no matter the form. Any other time would have been fine, but like I said, it was a «Lets go to dinner on the Discover card.» type of night.

I adore this place! Throughout the last year or so, I manage to stop by now and then to grab a plate to eat. I was new to Buena Park and CC and this place was excellent, it was super close by to where I was renting and affordable. They have tons of stuff to choose from~ which I love. Also great selection of smoothies and teas for boba. Never had their frozen yogurt, though. If anything, had some of their chow mein, it’s to die for. As a San Diegan accustomed to Panda Express, this place is God-sent!

Free 12oz yogurt with check in, but you have to spend $ 20 pre-tax. So unfortunately, no free yogurt for me — I only spent $ 19.00. :( 6 pieces of Crab Rangoon($ 3.50) actually taste like crab unlike most Chinese places. The 2 meat combo($ 8.50) is A LOT of meat plus 2 scoops of rice and 1 scoop macaroni salad. The mini BBQ Beef plate($ 4.95) is a great deal with still A LOT of meat and 1 scoop of rice and macaroni salad. BBQ pork is really tender with onions that are actually cooked well. BBQ beef is also delicious. Besides the Hawaiian food, they also have a Chinese food hot table and frozen yogurt($.39/oz)
