Café Wind Bell is really good. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad drink here – I’ve tried just about every hot latte on their menu, and so far zero complaints. They also have a great selection of other coffees, teas, etc. All good things. I haven’t had much of the foods, but their dessert waffle is bomb. The service is fine, if a little weird. There is usually a call button on your table, and service is prompt when you call. Sometimes there’s a bit of a language barrier but it’s not so bad. It’s hard to find seating sometimes in the evenings, especially on weeknights. People tend to hang out for hours so there really isn’t much incentive to leave once you have a table. Maybe a bit of a problem, but it is nice that you can basically hang out here forever. I’ve come before during posted hours and have found them to be closed. Bummer as this is, I’ve always been taken care of by the staff – once, coming when the store was closed, the owner still offered to make my guest and me lattes free of charge. I mean, it doesn’t get much better than that. A lot of the employees are really great as well. Plus, they’re actually open late. So great. Good for work, good for late talks.

First off, please don’t knock this place until you have tried their coffee or coffee based drinks. Everything else(tea, smoothie, waffles, shaved ice etc etc) is amazing, but if anything, they have the best coffee other than Stereoscope. The manager/barista is always there and ready to make ultra high quality pour overs, espresso shots or any espresso based drink for you. The whole crew is awesome and ready to serve you their other tasty delicacies. Other notes about this place is that they have a lounge area to just come and chill or a study area that you can use till late hours of the night. There is no problem with parking and almost never a super long wait. Please note that for now it is cash only so please be prepared!

Finally getting around to writing this review since I went a few months ago. I just remembered craving shaved ice or patbingsoo like crazy, so with the help of trusty Unilocalers, Café Wind Bell popped up in my search. I came in with my brother after we ate dinner and the establishment was pretty busy. The main room had couches and a few tables, but they were taken by people studying or working on their laptops. Luckily there’s a side room with wooden tables that was quieter and away from the bustle of the kitchen. My brother and I started with an ice blended café mocha and fresh watermelon juice, respectively. My juice came out in a glass, while my brother’s was a to-go cup. They apologized for the to-go cup since they ran out of cups at the moment, but it didn’t bother us at all. As we looked at the options for shaved ice, we settled on the fruit. The fruit shaved ice definitely hit the spot. The shaved ice was topped with strawberry, banana, kiwi, pineapple and peach. Then it was finished with condensed milk, a scoop of strawberry ice cream and fruity pebbles. This was so so good. I would definitely return just for this!

work full time. taking all night classes. end class at 10PM. Need a place to study and eat after a long day. Hello, Wind Bell! During my last year of school, you can almost say I lived here. I was here every night after class(10PM to 1AM) and would grab a drink with some dessert or food. Their drink and food menu is ok. It’s a little over priced, but beggars can’t be choosers. There were also times when I would be here on the weekends from open(literally) to close. I would sit there studying all day and get away with ordering a drink and an entrée so that’s a deal. During the times I came here, they had some really comfortable booths which made sitting down for hours a bit easier. But the most recent time I went, I remember they renovated and replaced all the comfortable couches with some hard wooden ones(is this their attempt to get people out in a timely manner?!) The only thing was that it would get super loud at night with people who meet here afterwards to chit chat, so bring some earphones if you’re going to mind the noise. Other than that, the servers are friendly, parking is never bad, and prices are okay(in comparison with other Korean cafes).

Need a café to study at or talk to friends with until 1 or 2 am in the morning? Look no further! Downside is, you might not get the dessert or drink you want on the menu. There have been numerous times where the worker would tell me that they ran out of stuff. I remember one time the worker and I had about 3 – 4 exchanges of me ordering something different because they kept going back to see that they ran out of whatever item I wanted to order. They were friendly throughout the process, but it was a little annoying. I like getting the hot chamomile tea or any of their other hot teas. Their iced sugary teas or drinks are always too sweet for me, so I always have to ask them to water it down even more after I asked for it less sweetened. I like the fact that it looks as if they have different sections of their café. Upon entering, the room on your right seems like an area where everyone should be studying. The couches to the left side seem like an area to lounge around. And the furthest area in the back of the café looks like its a good fit if you need to chat it up with your friends.

When my friend walked in, we were the only people there so we had our pick of seats. They gave us a menu and gave us some time to decide. We wanted something for lunch so we started looking at the pasta options, but were told that the kitchen closed down 3 months ago. That was a bit disappointing Either way, I ordered their vanilla latte and their house special waffles. The waffles were great for sharing and nothing too heavy. I loved the ice cream that went with the waffles! Vanilla latte was mediocre in my opinion. Since the café is so quiet, I recommend going for studying since there were basically no distractions during my visit on a Saturday afternoon!

Rude managers! I usually go here to study, but no more after such a bad service I got today… my bf and I came here to get dessert and study late at night. There were only a couple customers and a lot of seats. The server came to us with a menu– told us that their card machine was broken and we needed cash to get something. Uhoh we dont have cash. We were already settled, didnt want to wrap up and go somewhere else and there were a lot of empty tables so we asked if we can stay for a little bit to study. The server asks the manager, he gives a nasty face, shakes his head and goes«nuh uh». … its not my fault your card machine is broken and I cant get anything. Thanks to windbell, we are driving around looking for cafes that are open and not packed… owell, I guess no studying today :(

Despite the comfortable seating arrangement and intricate chalk drawings on the walls, my visits have been disappointing due to the service. I wouldn’t mind the prices of the dessert and drinks if the service was better.(Try the vanilla mocha if you’re into sweet and creamy iced drinks or any of the waffles!) Yes, there are buttons to call over someone to take your order, but even then, it doesn’t guarantee you a speedy visit from a waiter or waitress. It’s frustrating to be ignored when there’s not even a lot of people. I kept shifting uncomfortably in my seat as I noticed the other customers get terrible service as well. Throughout my three visits this past year, I don’t remember getting asked how I’m doing and I was pretty much left alone. Waiting for the check took forever as well. I did get a lot of work done since the atmosphere is laid back and the music isn’t distracting, but the service really bothered me. I usually don’t mind if service isn’t that attentive, but this place made me feel like I’m invisible.

This is, by far one of the most convenient places for me to go to whenever I need to study or focus on work — especially on weekends(which kind of pathetically reflects my life and how I end up studying on nights I want to go out). It’s open until midnight, and usually until 2am on the weekends, which is great, since it beats getting kicked out by a local Starbucks at 11, when I’m, of course, not finished with any work I have to do. The atmosphere in the café is very relaxing, for the most part. There are plenty of couches and tables that can accommodate big and small parties alike, and another part of the room that contains wooden chairs and tables to use as a more practical studying place, as it has some outlets to plug your laptops into, if needed. There’s wifi too, which is always great for the traveling student. The noise levels can get loud at peak hours or if big groups come in, but for the most part, none have ever been too irritating. The dim and comforting lighting also makes for a very homely feel, which is great if you want to come to have a cup of coffee or dessert, just to catch up or talk with someone(special too, if you prefer ;)). The baristas here are knowledgable of their coffees, which is a treat, as they offer chemex, japanese pour overs, cold brews and other types of brewing to tickle you coffee hipsters’ fancies. I’ve yet to try all of their menu, but I have tried their coffees and some of their lemonades(I love their ginger lemonade) but I’ve been satisfied with almost everything. The only downsides are that it can be hard to get a plug if you need it during peak hours, as the layout of the«study room» limits their plugs to one side of the room, and that prices are somewhat higher than most casual drink and dessert places. You also have to call for help if you need it, as most of the workers are either far off from where you are, or they’re just doing their own things with friends or other people visiting. But the price is somewhat balanced by the quality of what they give you, just don’t come expecting their food to fill you up. Since it is a bit of a casual place to just catch up, it makes sense. But I definitely come out of the way to come here when I need a place to study, since it caters to most of my needs. :)

decided to come here after having a horrible experience at café seventh home. first thing I noticed was the cozy, lounge-y atmosphere it had. I liked how it had an area with large sofas and also a place with just regular tables and chairs. *good for studying it seemed like there was only one person working. I had no problem with his«waiter» duties and felt that he was doing his job well. however, one thing I did not like was his friend just casually siting around and the two of them laughing so loudly. it just appeared to be very unprofessional and distracting at times. there is no problem with talking to a friend while at work, especially at a place like this, however you should know the limits of that and still portray yourself as a professional individual. you would not be laughing and being this casual at a business office. other than that, drinks were good, Internet was fast, and the seating area was comfy. I will come here again but only in the daytime. can’t imagine how bad it would be in the evening.

Been here a few times and overall, it is one of my favorite spots in Fullerton/La Habra area for lounging. Con: The bathrooms can use a freshening up. It’s very messy with trash on the floor and to me it seems that the bathrooms are cleaned at very minimal effort. Pros: The drinks are very good here. I personally like their Americano(Hot) and also, the Chamomile tea. My friends have ordered the juices and smoothies and have said that they were delicious. Another thing I like about this spot, is the environment and setting. I personally love dim-lit settings with jazz music for a place to lounge and this location has just that. I don’t find myself coming here very often but when I do have the chance to swing by, it’s always relaxing and satisfying. Only thing on the negative side of the review would be the restroom…

They have the best waffle in town. Much better than Café Bene. You can check in for a half off deal! Also their coffee is really amazing. I believe they do charge extra $ 0.50 for iced but still worth it. Ive had their iced coffee and you get about a good 16oz. Friend had the pineapple juice and it was the freshest pine juice ever! Definitely freshly squeezed. They also serve korean-italian, which I might try very soon! They have 2 sides to the resto. One is more airy and patio-like(but inside) and the other is a more loungey type. Im glad to see that they changed their sofas from last year but I remember them being all torn up. The workers here speak perfect English. :) Plenty of free parking.

I was craving Belgian waffles when I was in Buena Park, so i decided to Unilocal what was around the area. I’ve already tried the Berry Berry waffle from Coffee Code TWICE and was disappointed by their lack of flavor. The Belgian waffle at Café 7th Home is way too thin for my liking. Caffe Bene’s waffle is good but it doesn’t taste like your traditional Belgian waffle… Then there was this place. So I decided to give it a shot! The interior feels cozy and nostalgic. It was almost a little too dark for me and felt more like a bar than a café, but if that’s the atmosphere that you want, then go for it. This would be a great hang out spot but may not be the best place to study. I ordered the house waffle and it was delicious. It comes with strawberries, bananas, blueberries, with an ice cream+ whipped cream topping. They give you the maple syrup on the side, which is different from the one at Coffee Code is already soaked and soggy with maple syrup when you get it. The waffle had the perfect balance of crunchiness and tenderness. The batter also had plenty of sweetness, just the way I like it. :) The servers were all very nice and attentive. Some reviewers complained that they«never smile,» but honestly, that’s what you should kind of expect at a Korean place… If you’ve ever been to Korea, you’d know what I mean. Korean servers just kind of do their job and leave you alone; they don’t go through the extra fuss of sucking up to you and constantly bothering you during your meal like«American» servers. But by no means are they inattentive or lackluster about their work. All in all, I think this place is going to be my new favorite spot for Belgian waffles in the area. :)

**Long story short**: Come here for a cozy evening dessert date or with friends, order the sweet potato latte and fruit patbingsoo! A bit pricier than some other cafes, but you’re paying for ambiance and service! **Full story**: I love that this place is open so late. Josh and I were able to get our patbingsoo fix at almost midnight on a saturday and they weren’t even closed until 2AM! The décor inside is also super quaint and any form of twinkly lights will get to me, even if it’s just a random string of christmas lights! The café is lit pretty dimly so I don’t know if I would come here to study, but such a cute place to come for dessert after a dinner date or just to catch up with girlfriends! The Unilocal check in deal required the purchase of a drink so I ended up ordering a sweet potato latte for the first time. I was seriously in love. The latte was so smooth and delicately sweet. It was just so warm and soothing to drink. I felt like it was giving my tummy a hug :) And, there was no coffee in it so I didn’t get any of that bitter coffee aftertaste in my mouth. This is one of the few places in the OC that’s ever made patbingsoo as complete as Miss Coffee. Granted, Miss Coffee’s portions are much more generous and can feed more people, but Café Wind Bell hits all the right notes in what I want in patbingsoo, which really isn’t that difficult! I just want some fresh fruit, ice cream, mochi and good bingsoo, but for some reason so many places can’t do that right! I do think the prices are a little high, but décor and service matter a lot to me too, so I’m always willing to pay a little more for that. Definitely will return when I need a quick patbingsoo fix in the OC!

Came here to get a lot of work done… and I mean a lot! I usually go to Tom n toms coffee across the street, but they close at 10. I needed a place to stay open later. Ordered the aloe tea and set up my workstation. I got really frustrated after about 20 minutes because their wifi was waaaaaayy too slow. It’s also pretty dim in their«study» area. Eyes would hurt. 40 minutes after being there, I had to pack up my $ 6 + $ 2 tip aloe tea into a to-go cup because with their internet speeds, I was clearly not getting anything done. Their aloe tea tasted like whatever Korean aloe juice I can buy at the market for $ 2 for double the size. 2 stars for now because I’m sure they have other drinks and desserts that are good… probably would enjoy my visit there more if I just went to hang out. Overpriced, though.

I came with a few friends to check this place out as a study spot. While we were here, we ordered a small Green Tea Shaved Ice to share. The small was a HUGE portion(and 50% off if you check-in and order 2 drinks). It was surprisingly delicious for shaved ice since I usually prefer shaved snow, with the flavor already infused in the ice. The ratio of red bean, mochi, blueberries, and granola were perfect and I loved the added sweetness from the condensed milk. My Iced Peach Tea was also delicious. I was told the drink would be very sweet so I asked for it half sweetened and it was perfect. My only complaint is that it’s incredibly overpriced for iced tea($ 5.50 for a medium sized glass) plus, it was half-filled with ice. I’m willing to spend on a good drink but it really wasn’t worth that much. Study wise, it’s a pretty decent location. There’s free wifi, plentiful seating, and outlets along some of the tables. The only downside is that the rooms aren’t very well lit. But I’ll most likely be back to try their coffees next!

This place is located in its own little building shared with a couple other businesses. Yes, this is another café owned by Koreans but its ‘nicer’ than 7th Home. That is just my personal opinion because Ive had really bad experience there. Once you enter, to the right is where everyone studies and its noise level is kept really low with laptops everywhere. To the left, this is where you can actually chat and hold conversations like other cafes. Their drinks are not very special that makes me want to come back. It is just average honestly. Price is in the same range as other Korean cafes too. I havent tried much here but thats all I can say about the drinks. Servers are very dull and they never have smile. Ive only seen guy servers and they walk in and out of café a lot to chat outside and smoke a cig. This bothers me a lot because I have seen other people who smoke and come back to work without washing their hands. Its the sanitary issue that bothers me. Other than that. I have not much to complain about. Parking lot is spacious all around the building and the restroom is kept clean.
