This location is average. I’m spending the weekend in Buda and I needed a cheap place to eat. I ordered a few things for my friends and I, a burger, a breakfast burrito and a couple drinks. They got the burger wrong when they brought it out and it took a little while for them to remake it but it turned out fine. They gave me a free drink coupon for the trouble which was nice. I feel for these carhops. I worked at a sonic in Austin through out high school. Its not a horrible company corporately, but individually I have just heard horrible stories,(and had my own experiences) with the managers and what not. Just cut them some slack, they arent always the ones that are at fault :)

Very very disappointed in this location. I pulled up to the drive through(not drive in) and waited 6MINUTES for them to take my order. Then, I waited 13 minutes for my food. I saw two people pull up and leave because it was taking so long. The tater tots weren’t completely done and my breakfast burrito didn’t have cheese. :(I gave them 5 chances. Same experience every time. I’ll go to the one on Slaughter from now on.

I think the people who have previously reviewed this sonic must have been smoking crack because I have NEVER had a good experience here. I have gone during happy hour, ordered things on the HH menu and been charged full price… waited 20 minutes for drinks… and always end up getting home without something I both ordered AND paid for. I used to work at Sonic in college and we got orders out within 4 minutes EVERYTIME… I don’t get why things take so long here and still aren’t correct. It’s literally on my way home every day and I will still drive out of my way to eat somewhere else because it’s that bad. One day I was charged twice for something that was already wrong to begin with, but I failed to meticulously check my order before getting home(totally my bad) and called to let them know… the phone just rang and rang and rang and… you get the idea… So not only do they screw stuff up… you can’t even call to let them know because NOONEPICKSUPTHEEFFINGPHONE. ugh.

This chain is so EXPENSIVE! I find myself driving away from McDonald’s having spent $ 6 for my wife and I but at sonic where she gets a meal and all I get is a drink and fry I end up spending $ 12 and then the expected tip on top. I like the staff and the service and they deserve a tip, we all know they have a shitty pay. But is that the costumer’s fault? Should we choose to come here and pay more and leave a tip? That ain’t right! Another thing, twice have we been here at happy hour where their slushee machine is down. No!!! That can happen! And if it does… You issue your costumers with a free slushee at their next visit or a coupon for happy hour price whenever the machine starts working. At least something, that leaves the costumer disappointed but appreciated at the business and wanting to come back. And that’s just my 2 cents

Great food. Good variety, though this place is clearly not very healthy for you. I mainly get the burritos here, and they’re lovely. Burgers and chicken strips are good here as well. Recommended for good fast food.

Like any normal sonic, I’ve been to a lot and worked at a lot of them. Good friendly service only thing that has changed is a few menu items

I’ll admit it. I like Sonic. I never did think much of them in the past. Except for their exceptionally delicous Lime-ade. Route 44, please. But then they started with these all-beef hotdogs. I have tried them all, and they are mostly as good as they get. Certainly as good as the higher-end Dog places in Austin, and half the price. My favorite is their Chicago Dog. Really the best outside of Chicago that I have had. Second is the new Chili-cheese Frito Pie Dog. Just down and dirty, nasty and good. Everything you want from fast food. And who doesn’t like to be served by someone on Roller-skates??? I’ll take my dogs in NYC or Chicago if I have the chance, but in between, Sonic does the trick. I can’t speak for any of the other items, but I really go for those dogs. My kids like the Sonic Blasts’, but what kid doesn’t like ice creamy shaky things?
