We ordered the meat loaf, eggplant(something), and the steak. My order of meat loaf was dry and salty and the side of veggies were undercooked. How does that even possible?! My friend’s steak was also overcooked. For the price, we expected A LOT better. However, I did like the atmosphere and service was decent. Next time it would be Cheddars over this place.

This is terrible to learn of. The Lemon Wedge offered a premium experience perhaps too far from downtown(like walking two more blocks). That’s scary. This for me puts a very close eye on First Friday as what they were promoting –was– a premium restaurant that used organic and local grown foods. It failed? Why? It breaks my heart to see this happen.

I would describe this place like going to your friend’s house for dinner, but her mom just isn’t that great of a cook. Not much flavor in most of the dishes I tried. The bloody mary was ok, my meatloaf sandwich and my mom’s fried chicken came out cold, and the chicken pot pie was missing the pie crust!!! That meatloaf sandwich also just tasted like ketchup. Anyway, their house made chips are awesome so at least they have that.

We were surprised for the dinner price. It is a little too expensive for students. Only 3 tables on that Friday night, which made us feel pressure. We need to talk quietly, or everyone in the restaurant will hear what we said. About food, I like my meatloaf. One of my friend didn’t like his meal. Because of the prices, I think non of us will go back again.

I just came here for lunch and it was a great experience. It was spacious, well-decorated, and definitely upscale without the contrived super dark atmosphere of those«romantic» restaurants. The left wall had a hand-painted silhouette/sunset design that was a little ethereal. Very beautiful, I kept staring. The right side has a bar with a tv. Cozy 4-seat tables were positioned around the restaurant. Walking in, you know this will be an enjoyable experience. Today was not very crowded, just me and my friend, a 60th birthday party in the back, and maybe one other group. Most likely, it’s because most people are home for Thanksgiving, shopping, or trying to finish leftovers at home! I liked it, though; not too loud. We were seated immediately. There were beautiful large Christmas wine glasses set on the table. Very cute. The napkins are folded into a crown. A bunch of little nice touches. Our server(Leslie! :D) came around, greeted us very friendly, and asked us if it was our first time. Since it was, she got excited and began giving some background about The Lemon Wedge. Basically, The Lemon Wedge is so awesome because everything is cooked fresh the day of and made in-house. So, this restaurant really cares about quality. She brought out their fresh bread and butter for the day, which was pumpkin bread(!!!) and cinnamon butter. It was interesting to be served sweet pumpkin bread first, but I liked it. There was not enough cinnamon in the butter. I saved a slice of pumpkin bread to eat at the end of my meal. We looked through the wine menu. I don’t know that much about wine and was interested in the Los Hermanos Rosaro but was unsure if I would like it. Leslie kindly offered me a taste and came back later with a pretty generous sample size of it. I LOVED it. Very smooth, not dry at all, some strawberry and raspberry tones. Sweet! I got a glass($ 8), and when I got it, the glass was more than half-full. I liked it a lot, and it went well with my food. I ordered the Whistler($ 10.5), which is a sandwich with brie, canadian bacon, and asparagus, served with a sweet chipotle dipping sauce, house made potato chips, and fruit. The sandwich was delicious. The canadian bacon was thick-sliced, the brie was the perfect degree of gooey without losing its consistency. The asparagus was cooked through. Who knew this combination would work so amazingly together??? They nailed it. The sweet chipotle sauce was amazing to dip into, too. You can tell the chips are their own. Thicker sliced than store potato chips and dark amber and not too greasy. Was not as crunchy as some other chips but will good. The fruit it came with was subpar though. I don’t know what light white sauce it was in, but the fruit was not sweet and was a little… savory? Definitely did not like it, but it’s okay, because the rest of my dish was very good. My friends ordered one of their specials, the chicken entrée with corn pudding, vegetable medley. There was some delicious nutty herby green purée layering the chicken breast. The corn pudding was a square of delicious crumbly corn pudding with actual corn and some other little veg’es inside. Very very good. I need to learn to make this corn pudding. The string beans, broccoli, carrots, and yellow squash were cooked and flavored well too. They do not forget about the importance of making vegetables taste good! This was a good dish, and only $ 11. Total, the bill with 2 cups of wine and two entrees was about $ 39, but I had a coupon so we ended up basically just paying for the wine. Service: yay Leslie! Food: yum yum yum! except the fruit! Wine: good choice, thanks for the sample! Atmosphere: comfortable and classy at the same time (Lunch) Price: only slightly higher than sad sandwiches from Panera, definitely good for special occasions without breaking the bank. I know brunch is $ 26 per adult and dinner entrees likely range upper 10s to 20s.

Came in for lunch. First off the wait staff was not ready to serve when the restaurant opened. The best thing we had the whole meal was the banana bread served before the meal. The chicken was as bland as could be and the chicken pot pie was more of a thick soup with spoiled crackers that tasted as if they came straight from the freezer inside of it. Heard a lot of good things about this place, was very disappointed. Will probably never come back.

Sunday Buffet MMMMMSOGOOD! I went with a group of 11 after picking up our girls from Texas A&M Soccer Camp. We missed our kids and knew they deserved a great meal. We had kids and adults ages 8 to 50 and WEALLLOVEDIT! Great staff from the moment you walk in the door to the time you leave. The Chef took pride in her presentation and we had it all… Salad, Fruit, Cheese& Bread, Tomato Pie, Quiche, Pulled Pork, Mashed Potatoes, Chicken Marsala, Talapia, Salmon, Waffles, Champagne, and then the desserts!!! Oh my goodness the Mississippi Fudge, Coconut cream Pie and more and more! We just loved this place and went off the reviews of Unilocal! 5 stars for us. Thank You!

Our third visit to Lemon Wedge, this time to celebrate Aggie Ring Day with our son and his friends. Every experience at Lemon Wedge is a great dining experience. The stuffed mushrooms appetizer is the best I’ve ever had. I had the 8 oz. filet that was cooked perfectly, tender and succulent. The server was attentive. The only thing I was turned off with was the fact that they automatically added gratuity to check(party of 7). I would have tipped 20%, but that will never happen when restaurant automatically adds.

I came here on a dinner date rather skeptical to try a new place. We were pleasantly surprised but would probably only return for lunch or maybe even brunch. The service was lovely but the meal was not nearly as great. I had the salmon stuffed with crawfish and mushrooms. Cooked perfectly but definitely way too much seasoning. My boyfriend had a steak with a baked potato that looked like it was just shlepped on the plate with some fixin’s worthy of potato shack. Basically for the price I’d expect some better presentation and ambience.

Best time ever. Had lasagna and split entrees with a friend who ordered eggplant Parmesan. They were both outstanding. The eggplant was lightly breaded and was not oily as you often find. Great local owner who takes pride in her business. For dessert we split some pies wheat were pretty good, I’d go for the cherry if I were to do it over again.

When in the mood for fine dining this is the place to go! Their food is incredible. My favorite is the crab stuffed filet paired with a buenos aires martini. It is tucked away in down town Bryan so it is very relaxing to sit and enjoy a awesome meal(sometimes with live music) with out feeling rushed in and out. This is a great place to take someone special or just to unwind from the normal fast paced chain resturants

My husband and I love to frequent the locally owned restaurants in the area so of course this made our list. For us, we have always had a great dining experience here. The Sunday Brunch is stellar with a plethora of choices. The desserts are all made in house. If you prefer a quiet cozy atmosphere this is the place to go, except on First Fridays where every place downtown is packed. Definitely a must try.

The Lemon Wedge is a great little place in Bryan. Now that Square One is gone, it is THE new café/bistro to eat at in Downtown Bryan. The food is very reasonably priced, the staff is extremely friendly and our lunch was terrific.

Was a bit apprehensive, after reading one of the reviews and then when we pulled up to the place a 10:30 a.m. and the the place was empty… but it turned out to be a great place! Food was excellent, service was great… I don’t know maybe we missed the early morning rush. but it was parents weekend and I was expecting a crowd. oh well their loss. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to the Bryan/College station area. My husband had the blue corn cakes with sausage and fruit, I had the spinach quiche that came with fruit, potatoes, and bacon. The quiche was 3″ high! light and delish, It was way more than my husband and I could finish. The décor was charming, staff was friendly and courteous!

Perfectly adequate, but nothing exceptional here. On a recent visit I had the chilled shrimp appetizer — the shrimp were plump and tasty but didn’t really meld with the other flavors in the dish. Crab-stuffed salmon was very unexceptional; sides of asparagus and potatoes were oversalted. A crispy lemon tilapia special was slightly better, but I ate nothing here to prompt me to return. Adequate but uninteresting wine list. Same cost as Madden’s, but half the quality. The ladies who lunch love this place, but true foodies will be disappointed.

My husband and I are recent transplants to BCS and looking for great restaurants in town. A sweet deal at led us to The Lemon Wedge. We arrived at 6:30 on a Friday evening and were the only patrons in the entire dining room(although two other couples came during our meal), which seemed worrisome. Service: Very attentive server, Cortez, who as knowledgable regarding menu choices. Timing was perfect for the appetizer and entrees. Ambience: Very cute and bright décor! Good natural light which I imagine would make for a lovely lunch here. Food: Superior ingredients with inappropriate seasoning. We started with the shrimp and grits appetizer which had a white cheesy grit with caramelized onions and shrimp in a ramekin. Hubby had the crab stuffed filet with mashed potatoes and wilted spinach. I had the Muscovy duck breast with wilted spinach and wild rice. The proteins were all incredible cuts of meat… FANTASTIC filet and duck breast but they were extremely salty, which is hard to do in my book! The wilted spinach was perfectly seasoned with garlic, salt, and pepper. The mashed potatoes were under seasoned and the wild rice was okay but very forgettable. The shrimp and grits were good but a large appetizer portion for two people. Portions sizes were actually quite large in general. I think we’ll visit again for lunch or brunch but I feel that the seasoning throws off the meal so much that I wouldn’t pay for dinner there again.(Entrees were 24 and 28 dollars.)

we tried green chicken and the burger. Especially the green chicken is worth to try. Pies are one the best in BCS area. Highly recommended…

This is a relatively new place in downtown Bryan, with a distinct up-market ambition, and prices to match. It’s been around for a few months now, but it tends to be uncrowded even on busy Friday nights. The room is green and airy, with pictures of lemons on the walls — true to the name. It is set up as a modern bistro, with white-clothed tables and straight-backed chairs. Food is just OK. I was taken aback by the Heirloom tomato salad that had exactly one slice of(regular, rather flavorless, definitely coming from a supermarket) tomato, and a few watermelon sticks(also flavorless), no greens. The meal was fine, but not exactly memorable.

The food here was pretty uneven. They don’t serve butter, but some sort of gross spread. Maybe country crock? The Cobb Salad was almost inedible with very poor quality sandwich meat and two thin slices of crunchy avocado(though it was very generous with the blue cheese). The extra mayo added on the grilled cheese did not work. The lemonade was excellent, the homemade salad dressings were phenomenal. The pot pie was fine. The dining room was nice and the service was fine.

Subtle, but classy. The Lemon Wedge is a good fit for historic downtown Bryan. The dining room is beautifully themed, and there’s enough space to keep it from seeming too crowded. The food is good, too, and the meats are locally acquired. Dishes are carefully prepared and presented. There are some growing pains with the wait staff, but not enough to keep me away. Prices are decent.
