Chick’s

Great fuel prices, but that’s it! TERRIBLE food service and poor management. The taco line had four people. The guy in front of me turned and said he has been waiting 10 minutes, so I decided to fuel my truck first. I went back to get a taco and 3 of the same people were STILL in line.
On a separate occasion I got a burger & fries. It took over 20 minutes. Although it was at an off-​peak time. I have to admit it was a great burger, but ain’t nobody got time for that.

Okay, You won’t believe this, but this is just Hands down the best burger in the whole area! The Chick’s burger on the sweet sourdough bun is to die for! The Burger patty itself is a properly cooked patty, you have a choice of many cheeses (i prefer the cheddar or swiss) The vegetables are fresh, the bacon is super good, thick cut and smokey the way it should be.
The fries are a tasty seasoned fry, but you have options there also. Terrific burger, decent price, Friendly staff.

update: one small upgrade that would really put this stop over the top… WiFi. There is no WiFi here. granted McDonalds next door has great, free, wifi but who wants to go there?

Best burger in BCS… hands down

One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Meat is seasoned well, sourdough bun is great, and the fries are amazing!

Stopped for gas and a «pitstop». Nice and clean and welcoming. And… what lesbian doesn’t like a place called «Chicks?» LOLOL
Seriously though… this is a typical side of the highway souvenir truck stop kind of place. Looking for keychains? They have it. Looking for shot glasses? You’ll find them. Want a t-​shirt for your wife, kids, lover, that reads Texas or Houston, or something similar? This is the place to spend your money. Are you hungry? Car or 18 wheeler needs a fill up? You’ve come to the right place.
They also sell these very cool grills/​fire pits. I may have to go back for one. No, I’m not giving up my precious Weber grill, but a fire pit in my yard would sure be nice!
4 Stars only because the bathroom needed cleaning. Other than that, the place was almost spotless.

Had a burger from chicks the other day and it was great! Besides that they had awesome stuff in store & I will probably go Back to get a fire pit!

If you are familiar with the chain called «Buc-ee’s» than you will feel at home Chick’s. clean bathrooms, great service and lots of extras.

Beautiful! Newest store in Bryan /​College Station, at grand opening now. Cheapest gas in town right now, well, matches cheapest at $ 3.39.
Grand opening was 10 minutes late, I filled up with gas before they were open and receipt says 11:08 am. Sheriff (yes a cop was guarding the door) finally opened the door at 11:10. Who knew this many people would be interested in a new gas station? Well, I was so… Lol! To me it is obviously a clone of Buckees. Tons of restrooms, drinks and a large deli and kitchen with computer touch screen kiosk ordering. Kitchen was barren of food just extremely clean. When I ordered tacos they said that they just got Health Dept certified 4 minutes ago. Beer selection includes locals from Houston, but no College Station brews and no premium imports. Wine section was just being set up with their first delivery and it all looked like common grocery store fare, see photo of original delivery if interested.
I’m sure this will do well due to the location, but I didn’t find any great deals and couldn’t eat there yet so I’ll let this sit at 3 stars for now. Shiny new gas pumps were tight and worked excellent and fast.
