Catalena Hatters

I stop by Catalina hatters in June of 2015 to purchase a felt hat, after talking to the gentleman that was working in the store he was explaining to me that Catalina hatters restores felt hats for half the price of a new hat and that would be a better option for me since this hat was a gift. So I immediately boxed up the hat and shipped to them for an full restoration, a week later I’d called them to see if they received my hat which they did. They told me that it would take at least 4 weeks to be completed. Around July 15^th I’d call them to find out the status of the restoration which the person that answered the phone did not know and would have someone call me back for an update which they didn’t. My son lives in TX and he said that he will drop by Catalina to find out what’s going on with the hat, he sent me pics of the hat which was fully restored and looking awesome they told him that as soon as they shape it they will ship it back to me. Well this is were there customer service really sucks I have called multiple times which is once a week to find out when they were going to ship the hat and every time I get an different answer and an excuse of why it has not been shipped and a promise it will be the next hat to get done, needless to say as of Sept 11^th still no hat so at this point my son that lives in TX will stop by Catalina Hatters to pick up my hat and ship back to me. Obviously they have lost a customer for life, but honestly I truly believe Catalina Hatters really doesn’t care about how they will loose a customer and obviously one customer is not going to hurt them in the pocket. So there ya have it I will never ever ever recommend Catalina Hatters to anyone ever again.

I bought my first hat here as a teenager in 4-​H. You can’t find more experience than at Catalena Hatters. ALSO, it is a great way to support local business. Skip Cavenders and head to Downtown Bryan for the best in western wear!

No shirts, no shoes, no belts, just custom made hats. And restoration. This is now connected open air shopping with the new Texas Rose Boutique gift shop. As there are no walls separating the stores, it was interesting to see someone making custom hats while shopping for gifts. Local family owned unique store.
