Convenient location — workout areas are clean, orderly and well maintained. Machines are rarely out of order. The Men’s locker room and showers are shabby, old & dirty — they definitely need an update. Weights & machines are decent for a small space. Cardio equipment here is ancient compared to other PF locations– I have the black card & I routinely travel to most Maine PF gyms for perspective. The elliptical machines have got to be 15 years old! Friendly staff —

Glad they still have free weights because most don’t have it just smith machines. Like the staff very friendly. Wish they were closer to 295 but that’s my only gripe.

Small and cramped, but I’m happy that they still have free weights and barbells that you can add your own plates too, many planet fitness locations outlawed these. They also let you do deadlifts which is great too. I do wish that they had a squat rack and that the Dumbbells went higher than 75lb. Maybe the only good planet fitness left!

I feel bad for the«1» because there’s a few good employees here… but I just can’t. I’m almost up with my 1 year Black Card commitment, and I’m so anxious to get out, because for $ 20/month I expect any changes that may occur to my banking information to be applied quickly and accurately. Especially if you offer the service of changing your banking information online… but I was wrong. I switched my banking institutions, changed my banking information online, and then was slammed with late fees & collections notices without any other notice before getting those lovely pink-paper letters in the mail. Now, the gym manager in Brunswick waived those fees, but it’s still an inconvenience. Also: There’s no hand sanitizer stations(unless that’s changed recently)… and while there are plenty of bottles/towels for the members to clean up their nasty, sweaty machines… I’ve witnessed(on numerous occasions) people just pick up their things and walk away without wiping down. Gross gross gross. And no one talks to them. So: I’ve been suffering through wasting $ 20/month… just because I also don’t want to pay their buyout prices. I force myself to make at least 2 – 3 trips to the gym a month and just deal with it so I at least get my money out of it.

I totally agree with Dave B. And since I’ve used the locker room and showers many times, it’s a 5 star place for me. Super nice staff, plenty of equipment, and folks who go there are pleasant. It’s clean with multiples on equipment, so there’s never a wait. I’ve seen staff actively keeping up with wiping down equipment. Always happy to go there and always looking forward to going back.

I’ve had a lot of problems with this gym. Including the other members and the employees. The billing is terrible and triple charged me «gym dues» which is a yearly expense that I was charged 3 times for only a month after joining. On a good day going there… I get cut on machines by old men, get terrible customer service from the women who work there(honestly I think they are jealous or just have a terrible attitude problem), most of their machines are broken or don’t function properly, girls go there in short shorts with their private parts popping out yet I get spoken to while wearing yoga pants a sports bra with two shirts over it. There is a short haired woman that works there that is ALWAYS rude to me, never says hello and never does anything productive. Not only that… But their«no judgement» policy is bullcrap. I only ever see the male employees working when I’m there. And they are the only ones who have been courteous or helpful. This place made me want to give up working out. Oh and did I mention that they have a no cell phone policy for their customers, yet every employee sits at the front desk staring at their phone?

Planet Fitness was very accommodating with courteous information, new equipment, and facilities. There were plenty of machines of all types including the most state of the art elliptical I’ve ever been on. Next time we’re in the Bath/Brunswick area, we’ll definitely be taking advantage of the by-the-day plan there at Planet Fitness. With it being at Cooks Corner, it’s a gem of an option being nearly mid-point between Bath & Brunswick quickly accessible via Rt.1. I’d give the place 5 stars if I had made it into the restroom /shower area, but I can’t attest to their condition.
