It’s 8:30 on a Monday and this place is half empty.
There’s a 15 minute wait for a table
The airhead at the front desk doesn’t give a shit either.
Should have gone somewhere else, his was a default across the parking lot from my hotel.
Won’t come back in a hurry

I and my coworker work out of town every weekday. For three years we eat at the roadhouse at least once a week sometimes more. Had mostly decent food and service. At this road house, got our salad but after several tables seated after us getting their meals and watching our waitress deal with one of them getting a missteak. We were assured ours would be right out. After the manager asked (is everything alright) we told him that it wasn’t. He later came back said order not placed. He said soon, and no charge. 20 min later no steak. Well after 1hr and half from arrival we left. I hope they improve.

Me and the wife ate there the other night. Service was great as always. I am glade they they serve lemon with their tea. The ice cold XX Tall boys were awesome! Very frigid just like they should be. Ribs were good, burger was O.K. Fries O.K. But honestly I will not order the burger again. The steak was good though. Peanuts are always good. Price was great!

Best roadhouse ever been to from the moment I walk it was greeted and talked to great waitstaff I had chicken fried steak one of the best ever also tried chili and it was the best I ever had food was prompt and prices where fair for the food wish my local roadhouse was this good even greeted on the way out and told him how good it was I am a fan your lucky Brownsville

Excellent food. With out a doubt best steak in the valley. Wait staff are attentive but not intrusive. Atmosphere is fun but really loud. If that’s your thing you will love it!

I had to go to Texas road house because at chilis they has a mess after waiting15 min to sit the waitress took forever she didn’t even get to order our drinks we stood up and left to Texas road house where you can totally see the difference!
Seated right away!
Took our drinks in the moment we were sat.
Yummy bread right away!
No waiting at all! Thanks Texas road house for a great experience from now on will always put you first!

Went last night with a group. Food was good however a friend told me later that night that one of the food prep guys didn’t wash his hands after using the restroom. That immediately made me regret coming here. The other group we were with spoke to a manager who informed them it was an ongoing problem and comped their meal. Good on the manager however if its not the first time why is this person still working there?

Not from here. Visiting for a weekend. Got food poisoning from the chicken. Made for a not so pleasant trip to get back home, with multiple stops and many plastic bags, (which are hard to come by in that city due to restrictions), filled with puke. Never again.

Before I came here, I could not imagine giving a 5 star to a chain restaurant, but but this Texas Roadhouse certainly deserved it. Most notable about my dinner here was the incredible service.
I sat at the bar with a friend. Both bartenders were incredibly friendly — asking and then remembering our names, and laughing at our corny jokes. They struck just the right balance of attentiveness, without becoming overbearing.
We both ordered the Dallas Fillet, which was a 6 oz steak. It was cooked to perfection without an imperfection to be found. I also ordered the «sidecar» of 4 spare ribs, which likewise were perfectly cooked. The food here is fantastic! This is about as good as it gets.
Again to their customer service, one of the managers stopped by before we left to ask our opinion — great job by all. Thanks Deniece for that great smile, and great service!

Great atmosphere whether with family or a night out with the friends. Beer is always cold however they don’t have a varied selection. Service is great; friendly, competent and menu savvy. Quality steaks cooked to your personal preference and the authentic rustic setting make TX. Roadhouse a pleasurable dinning experience.

The service is great, they play country and the food is amazing. What else can i say?! I love the place! Been here countless times, i can’t get enough of this place. I’ve tried just about everything in the menu, exempt the fish but because i don’t like fish, not because its bad. Im sure its great too.
Even if this place is packed i have never had to wait more than 30 mins to be seated, especially if i call ahead. The servers are always friendly. I love the bar and the drinks. Yes the place is a bit pricy but this is totally worth it. The place is clean, of course there are peanut shells all over the floors but that just part of the restaurant. Give this place a try if you haven’t already, promise you won’t regret it.

Well, I guess if you want to go to Brownsville and eat at a place you could eat at almost anywhere in the United States, then go ahead, but really? This place is not special. The food is ok at best. I had a steak that was tough as rubber there and the only part I liked about the meal was the peanuts at the beginning. Feels like a Disney version of a Texas steak restaurant.

I’ve been to TX Roadhouse a few times. It’s good. Their prime rib is only served after 5pm I think. The food is typical of a LoneStar Steakhouse, or any other chain. I like that their cuts of meat on display when you walk in, and I’ve never had to wait for a table longer than 5 minutes. This restaurant would probably be in my top 8 in Brownsville. The price is very reasonable. WARNING — If someone tells them it’s your birthday, you have to straddle a saddle while they shout to the whole restaurant. Do not wear a skirt.

Texas Roadhouse is a great franchise. However this particular location is great because of the manager. He really puts an effort in keeping it great. If a waiter makes you wait, ask for the manager and hell make it up to you.

Great food. Great service. Great prices. We’ve been there several times and the food has always been delicious. Steaks are cooked to perfection every time and have great flavor. The portions are generous and you’ll probably leave with leftovers. They value customer service and it shows. If you’re in the area, it’s a great place to eat.
Atmosphere is relaxed and casual. In-​the-​shell peanuts to snack on if you have to wait, and more at your table when you’re seated. Just toss the shells on the floor if you feel like it! Any time close to meal time is busy, so you might have a short wait.
The freshly baked rolls with cinnamon butter are a treat!
