This place is amazing! We had our Christmas party here and I can’t thank the staff enough! The customer service was outstanding and the every thing they served was just so yummy. Can’t wait to come back here for another amazing meal!!!

I have been here several times and have tried most of the menu. I have to admit, everything was great. Just tried the skirt steak tonight and it was great as well. The Expresso Martines are the best :). Must try this place and the Expresso Martine…

Had the Mac and Cheese 8⁄10 and French onion soup which was mostly saturated into the bread topping. Mr. French onion soup: 5⁄10. Also had a cocktail drink that I’m too buzzed to recall(last listed on the menu), but that was definitely a 8⁄10 and got the job done! #Pow I would go again… but not enthusiastically.

My boyfriend and I went here last night with a group of friends and it was delicious! We were able to try the Signature Pork Sandwich and the Chicken Sandwich. The pork sandwich was juicy and delicious cooked to perfection and the side of Au Jus sauce only made it better. And the same can be said for The chicken sandwich. Two things that definitely stood out were the potato wedges(cooked to crispy and seasoned perfection) and the Windsor BUTTER that came out with bread before ordering was to-die-for! They have a great selection of craft beers on draft and a full bar if your in the mood for something else. Our waiter was friendly and attentive.

I didn’t know this place existed until we walked by tonight and I sure am glad we took a chance and stopped in. First, I’ve always liked the physical space here — casual, warm and comfortable. Now on to the service and food. Both were outstanding. They could not have been nicer. My husband and I split a kale salad then I had the roast pork sandwich and he had the skirt steak sandwich. Both were delicious. The various sauces, and the cucumber salad and bread with au jus butter were the icing on the cake. We will be back and I wish them well. They deserve to be a success.

Stopped into Windsor Roast House for dinner with my boyfriend tonight. Recently noticed the new restaurant in park slope and decided to finally check it out. So happy that I did, everything was amazing. From the service to the apps and entrees, everything was stellar. First off, the staff is very warm and welcoming, greeting you with wide smiles as you walk in. We were promptly seated and brought bread for the table, but it was really unique. Their house butter had some of the au jus from the beef in it and it gave the spread a great flavor. We ordered the avocado toast appetizer as per the recommendation of the server, it had blue cheese and a balsamic sauce on top that went really well with the avocado. Both my boyfriend and I decided to get the same entrée, prime rib. It came with Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. The prime rib was so tender and full of flavor. I’m also really pleased that it came medium rare as I ordered it. For dessert, we ordered the pumpkin cheesecake. I don’t know if that’s a seasonal item, probably, but if you get the chance to order it, do yourself a favor and order that bad boy. So good. Definitely a warm welcome to Windsor Roast House to the park slope neighborhood. I’ll be back!

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. All the 4 and 5 star reviews from September when this place opened are obviously bogus reviews trying to trump this place up. Me and the wife unit saw this place open up in our hood and thought we had to give it a try. They have sloppy joes on the menu so thought it would be a good comfort food kind of place. Let me just say that i’ve had better meals in an elementary school cafeteria. We order the baked wings to start. These were not baked. They were broiled on a metal plate, unseasoned, burnt and stuck to the plate with a handful of sautéed onions thrown on top. I’m telling you, not a lick of salt or pepper on these or in the onions. They weirdly served this with two wedges of their bread(??). Let me add that these wings took 20 – 25 minutes to come out of the kitchen. Ok, so we’re worried for main course. We both ordered the brisket burger. The menu states that they serve Sullivan Street Bakery breads, so thought this burger experience would be good. Well, burgers show up another 20 minutes later, served on a MARTY’S burger bun, like you buy in a plastic bag at the supermarket. But, these were a SMALL version of the Marty’s bun. So much for the good quality bread. The lettuce served on top of the burger was wilted/browned white vein part of the lettuce. It looked like quality to feed a rabbit. The burger was completely messed up, falling apart and seasoned in some places but not in others. To top this off, the cook(s) took 2 cigarette breaks in the time we were there. They come back in walk right past you stinking of cigarettes. Real nice. Such a low class vibe. This place is to be avoided at all costs, let’s hope they close soon and someone opens another decent place here. I miss the old days when Anthony’s was here.

If you’re going to serve sandwiches directly across the street from Henry’s terrific banh mis, and they’re going to cost more than twice as much as Henry’s banh mis, they had better be some amazing sandwiches, and I’m sad to report that these are just okay. The pork loin is comparable to Windsor Terrace’s new Tuscan Gun — tastes like good meat, cooked well — but Tuscan Gun’s is like half the price. You get a lot of food here, though, more than either of those places and much more than the $ 5.50 char siu at Tea & Tea, that other joint across the street where the mighty Parco used to be(tipping some out). So if you’re a big eater, awesome, here you go. But that portion sortof represents the problem here: this place reminds me of the places in the suburbs I grew up in, you know? Back when people would rated restaurants by their portion sizes. «It’s lots of food, eight thumbs up, rawr.» This is like a suburbs place hired someone from Brooklyn to rewrite their menu. «Also quinoa, I guess?» Fries were good, in that they taste like Burger King fries, which is all I’ve ever wanted from fries. I don’t know why people make fries so complicated. There are two kinds of people in the world: people who want all fries to be Burger King fries, and people who won’t admit that they’re the first kind of people.

um… no. I said to my husband, this sort of tastes like the first dinner you try cooking for your parents during high school. Chicken wings were completely unseasoned. Zero salt or anything on top. When you think chicken wings, you have an idea in your head of what it will be like. Like breading or sauce or simply a flavor. These were naked chicken thrown on a plate with onions and broiled. The waiter brought beer to our table right away but we never had water in our glasses. Then we each had a burger which was not even ‘just okay’. They were very unevenly seasoned. Some parts had no seasoning, other bits were completely over salted. The buns are the ones you get at the supermarket — small, crumpled and soft. When we saw the burgers sitting there sadly on the plate, we had to stop ourselves from laughing out loud. The fries were just passable. You would never get such a burger at a diner. And this was at $ 15 a plate. All I can say is, there was absolutely no forethought or care taken with our meal. And we spent $ 75 for this, for our let’s-celebrate-the-end-of-week dinner. Disappointing. We were very hungry, so we ate most of the wings and most of our burgers(did I mention that the order took a while, too?). Otherwise, I would have demanded our hard-earned money back or simply walked away. I know what happened here. Someone had a fantasy about owning a restaurant.

Updated review after the re-opening. This would be 3.5 stars if that was an option. Windsor Roast House is getting it right and I’m really hopeful that after the next visit, I can upgrade to 4 stars. So close but not quite there yet. Service was great — our waiter could not have been nicer. We started with a shrimp roast appetizer that had a sauce I wanted to lick up. Alas, one of the shrimps was still half gray. We were not starving so we had sandwiches. My pork tenderloin was not the nice slice from last time but was more slivers in a sauce. I liked it(although not as much as last time) but the bun was overdone. It was a huge portion though with very yummy, crisp fries. There were three side sauces, including a corn sauce I could have bathed in. So delicious. Our waiter gave me extra to take home. Husband had the beef brisket sliders, which were really tasty. Unfortunately the waiter forgot to bring the bread and butter with jus, which he told us about later, at the start of our meal. Really didn’t need anything else to eat but it sounded great. I’ll be back and will make sure to ask for it. This would be a 2.5 star review if that was an option and honestly I went back and forth between 2&3 stars. This place has a lot of promise and hopefully will be a good addition to the neighborhood once they get their act together. The jus was delicious and the French Onion soup was among the best I’ve ever had. Our waiter couldn’t have been nicer and the alcoholic beverages were very reasonable. Portions were good sized for the price. Now for the downsides — the kitchen simply did not have their act together. Food took a long time to come out. About 45 minutes after we ordered, the waiter came and said the kitchen had just told him they were out of one of the sides, and also were out of two other options. However they very kindly gave a salad instead, which was not one of the options, and was very nice. The pork tenderloin was really good but the roast beef was a crime against meat — totally overdone. I guess I should have known I was making a mistake when I ordered it rare and the waiter said it only comes one way because they make it ahead. The crème brûlée was good but too cold which sort of ruined it for me. Last complaint — the music was pounding techno that simply did not fit the ambiance of the restaurant. We asked our waiter who picked the music and he said the chef. Chef should keep his musical taste to the kitchen. There was enough good about Windsor Roast House that I will give it another chance and hope this was just opening month issues.

Really wanted to like this place, I’m a huge comfort food person, and I love roast beef with gravy. It was empty when we arrived, we wanted an early dinner, we weren’t greeted so I asked someone if we can sit ourselves, soon after the menus came, I wanted a angry orchard, asked the waitress if they had, she said yes, then returned to inform me that they ran out, ok soda it is. We decided on two appetizers(sliders & wings) the waitress told us they were all out… ok that sucks. She then brought bread & gravy, which was good, I ordered the roast beef plate, with macaroni & cheese, and potato wedges, the roast beef came overly cooked, had to send it back, it was then finally pink, it was ok… without soaking it in gravy, it wouldn’t have a great taste, the macaroni & cheese was very good, most likely my husband & I favorite. Wedges could have been seasoned more. My husband had the chicken sandwich, and said it was flavorless, he asked for two sauces, one of which he said was gross. Service was just ok, our waitress wasn’t very attentive, I had to flag her down for more soda, she never asked how the food was. I’m guessing the staff isn’t very experienced. I expected so much more, unfortunately they failed to deliver.

There’s a warm welcome feeling even as you walk by(I know bc I live in the neighborhood). The back patio is cozy with a screen for whatever you wanna watch. The meal starts with warm bread dipped in hot au jus, good start! The plum salad was fresh, well dressed, and Gorgonzola went prefect! I got the roast beef which is a house specialty which was well seasoned. I would’ve wanted a little more fat on my meat. Potatoes with mushrooms was amazing, Mac and cheese just ok. Husband got steak sandwich which was perfect tender, sweet potatoes hot and crispy. Crème brûlée was good portion and delish! Best part here is the service, jack is the best waiter!

I really wanted to like this place. Came out with several friends for a Friday night out. The owner and staff are very nice and courteous, and the menu sounds great… but when they brought out the food!!! There’s just no excuse for treating meat like this. No, it’s not roasting in a well-known sense: thick pieces, browned and rubbed with spices on outside, and juicy and moist with pink in the middle. Instead it felt that all meat(and we ordered roast-beef, lamb and brisket) was boiled and then thinly sliced(literally like prosciutto) w/o salt and spices to add any flavor to what ended up being a tasteless school-cafeteria meal. Very disappointing as this place felt like it had a unique opportunity in South Slope. Pros: wines are well priced, nice atmosphere, staff is great Cons: food

I really wanted this place to be great. But… the food is janky. Legit I felt like I was in prison. The brisket tasted old and microwaved. Also how do you F up French fries. Also, the table next to me had a rank salmon that was sent back and as I was walking out I saw people making faces about how gross the food was.

This place is just about as close to Heaven as one can get! Windsor Roast House just opened. I ordered the Lamb Sandwich with Caramelized Onions and the Red bliss potatoes. My Partner ordered The Windsor Burger and the Mac and Cheese. The meal started with warm crusty bread and a wonderful beef jus. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting and the staff are excellent! We liked it so much we had to go back two days later. This food is absolutely exquisite! I look forward to many visits to come! This place is Destined to become a neighborhood staple. I HIGHLY recommend it. Thank you for opening in Park Slope!

Finally a meat lovers paradise comes to Park Slope! I started with a great garden fresh salad and than a nice choice of roasted meats I had the tenderloin cooked perfect and tender with a side of roasted potatoes and mac & cheese which were awesome, my friends had the salmon which was big enough for 2 and the skirt steak sandwich served on fresh baked bread from their stone oven. Ended the meal with a nice cup of espresso, crème brûlée and a glass of Port all brought together with great friendly service. Will definitely be back.
