Wheeler’s Restaurant

Love this place so much I was just here and I am a constant customer. I really like the atmosphere and amazing food plus you’re always feeling welcome and very well treated!

Great sports bar, mostly locals, great use of area with nice sized dining and bar areas. Very reasonable prices for food and drinks, quality of food is above your average neighborhood bar, this is probably one of the oldest businesses in the area. Staff is great, I wish they had 1 chef, If I come there throughout a week, I can taste the difference between the chefs, I like consistency.
Few things I would personally like for them to add…
— Add some more draft beers, be a little more innovative with the delicious Belgians and IPA’s available on the market.
— Play combat sports especially when boxing is on showtime, HBO, NBC, have a cover charge for big PPV events.
–In recent visits the wings are somewhat soggy, they were a lot better being crispy and so spicy hot that breathing it in made you sneeze!
Bar is awesome for what it is, and I would recommend it for anybody. Owner is a great guy and very welcoming!

If I could select four and a half stars I would; the only reason it’s not a five is the prime rib which was ordered– while cooked perfectly– was under seasoned. I ordered a Moscow mule which was on point, and a steak quesadilla, also perfectly executed.
We ordered their buffalo wings for the table which were not to spicy and excellent as a whole, some wonderful crab cakes which were recommended by our server (a shy tall guy named Connor; excellent service!) and the fried zucchini (again a bit under seasoned but cooked perfectly).
All an all very lovely. I didn’t take pictures because we were too busy eating.

I’ve been going to Wheelers a long time. A real long time. When I left on Saturday, after paying my tab, I left my credit card there. When I called back they said it was turned in. Wheelers has been my neighborhood hangout for over 25 years. The crowd is nice and friendly, the bartenders are first class, and Mike the owner runs the business as well as anyone. No wonder I keep going back.

Wheelers is where I’ve celebrated my birthday for many many years, and my friends have done so as well. The service is great. Love love love Shawn… Other than for the food, he’s the main reason we visit. Mike, the owner, is borderline okay, I guess… IM KIDDING! HAHA. Hes seriously terrific and I love the fact that he even checks on me and my party or guest.
It’s rare to find a place where the staff makes you feel like youre at home. I can always count on them to have everything in stock. There’s never been a time where I’ve been disappointed… And I’m a hard person to serve lol. Extra bonus shout outs to the tall Caucasian guy with the hard pronouncing name and the woman with the Farah Fawcet hair… and of course Jim, the bartender.

If you want to have a great Guiness by Brighton Beach are — this is the best place. Nice country music and great prices.

This place never disappoints. Wings and penne vodka are the two staple items at this place, but that’s just me. Drinks are always potent. Prices for the quality can’t be beat.

Nice local hangout. Have been in a few times both for dinner and just for a drink. Bartenders in classic white shirt and tie attire that makes the place simply feel good. Have had a burger (average) and bartender recommended some meat and cheese on bread thing that was very good. Since moving to the neighborhood its on my list when I don’t feel like straying far from home. Overall I’d recommend dropping in.

I would give Wheeler’s a 5 star review but the sushi spot across the street has craft beer and the bar doesn’t?! Some premium craft beer would be a nice touch for customers willing to spend extra $ on it. Duvel, Delirium, Chimay or any other Belgian Ale for starters!
Other than that, this place is great. Food until 2AM, fairly priced drinks, jukebox for playing music. Good bartenders and staff. Humble & down to earth spot

Wheelers never fails. My boyfriend and I came one night when we were in the neighborhood and wanted to get something by quick to eat. Regardless anytime I come here the bar always has a decent crowd, and it’s nice that they separate the dinning section for people who are just trying to have a meal rather than drink.
We sat and were given menus by our waitress who was very sweet, we both ordered a drink and than looked over the menu for a little bit. Wheelers has the typical bar food menu, but also offers some full dinner options which gives a nice variety.
I ordered the French onion soup and an app and the chicken capricciosa salad for my entrée, and my boyfriend ordered a grilled chicken wrap. They’re both menu items that you can’t really mess up, and we were both satisfied with our dinners.
The service was good and ambience was nice, I’ll be back if I’m in the area.

This 4 star rating is strictly for the dining part of this establishment. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly. The burgers are awesome! That is usually what i will have when dining here. The seafood is very good as well. Once had the seafood salad and it was spot on. If you are in the mood for a bacon cheeseburger with fries, i highly recommend you have it here. Big juicy burger that will fill you up plenty. Why eat fast food when you can eat fresh and delicous food? Go to wheeler’s for your burger fix.

Moving from the suburbs to Little Russia was hard. Not that the many ethnic restaurants and bars around aren’t amazing, but I’ve been craving a little slice of home since moving to Sheepshead Bay, and I’m sorry it took me so long to find it! A great, local, place located right on Sheepshead Bay Road. I was surprised to see how many American people were hanging out in here. Music is oldies but is great, bartenders have a classic look and are fantastic. This is a great spot to watch games, bring friends, and have a good time. After reading some reviews I was afraid this place was going to be suitable for only pirates and bikers, I did not get that vibe at all. Lots of young people and middle aged people having a great time, place seems fine to me. A classic bar type of feel, everyone is very friendly. It’s awesome that the kitchen closes at 2AM. There is a great selection of drinks and the food choice is huge. I settled on the buffalo wings and mussels in white wine sauce. Both were incredibly good. Buffalo wings were among the best I’ve had, perfect flavor and portion. The mussels were absolutely perfect, also probably some of the best that I’ve had. So happy that I found this local watering hole. Even on a random Wednesday there were a lot of people partying and hanging out. I always see people hanging outside of it. Can’t wait to come back!

Can we say sausage factory!!! My friend & I walked in with the intentions of getting a bite to eat & a lot of drinks but the kitchen was closed for renovations we were informed. Lame. We were told we could over food in to the bar & eat it there no problem but just looking around the place & the vibe we decided to head somewhere else. The place literally was filled with middle aged men watching football & more men who were groping us up & down with their eyes so it was time to keep it moving after our one beer & head to a better spot where we could drink & actually eat hot food prepared where we were going to be spending time pounding them back.

Got better, more accommodating staff, that are willing to listen and handle your order properly.
Food is good, for what it is, and considering the limited options in the area. The kitchen closes at 2, which is great.
The fajitas are a great sell, and tasty phenomenal! They’re my favorite thing to share with a friend during the winding-​down summer nights.

I was led to believe that this place was only reserved for lecherous old men and people with affairs. For a long time, I believed this and thus why I’ve stayed away from Wheeler’s.
Then E’s birthday came up and his friends wanted to meet here for a quick drink after dinner. I was really surprised at how well-​lit and non-​sketchy it was inside. Prices were decent, the bathrooms were clean, and the customers come in all shapes and ages. They have tons of big screens for you to follow your sports teams and service was pleasant.
This place is okay in my book. Good place to catch up w/​friends over cheap drinks.

A friend in my building suggested this place for a great hamburger and on a whim I went Saturday night. I go in and sit at the front left bar. I order a hamburger. The waiter wasn’t very friendly really. I ordered a draft beer and waited. And I waited. The waiter never once acknowledged my being there. After an hour, I finally asked where my food was, since the place wasn’t that busy. He goes to check, but only makes it as far as the end of the bar. Never comes back to me. Another fifteen minutes go by and finally I had to yell at him, «It’s been over an hour now, could you PLEASE find out where my order is?» He finally goes to the kitchen and returns with my food. The hamburger was ok. But after an hour, I would have eaten anything.
Horrible service and the place has an odd smell too, like a chemical cleanser or something. While it’s something of a landmark in Sheepshead Bay, I don’t know why.

Great space. this is a comfortable sports bar where you can come with a group and chat with friends. it has a modern jukebox and they generally play classic rock, which is awesome. I feel completely comfortable here. sheepshead bay isn’t exactly the neighborhood I think of when I think bars but Wheeler’s is a chill spot.
