New Yorkers love to gripe about change, so I will point out that I remember when only a handful of people would use this stop. Now, it’s packed. And with only a single entrance/exit, my inner emergency manager screams«FIREHAZARD» whenever I have to shuffle out of here. All these years later, the N/R line remains the«never» and the«rarely,» so you have to wait upwards of ten minutes for a train, even during rush hour. The good news: it’s only one stop to Atlantic, where you can get almost every train. The D runs locally after 10. And a couple of excellent bluegrass musicians play here some mornings(when they haven’t had too much whiskey the night before?). And now the R is connected to the A at Jay St./Metrotech.
