It was fine. Whole in the wall. Wouldn’t take credit cards which was annoying, being that it’s 2016 and all.

The go to for my summer cravings! Can never go wrong with any flavor. My favorite is the pistachio milkshake!

Ice cream is good, love the chocolate jelly ring. kind of expensive but tastes good. . There is no place to park, if you stop in front you are in a lane of traffic, The girls who work here have Russian accents and at times there may be a communication problem. They are only open in the summer.

Went for Rum Raisin ice cream twice and they didnt have it(*sight*). The quality of ice cream is comparable to most high end ice cream shops but I find this place to be a bit expensive considering it’s in a remote Brooklyn location and it’s a small shop. I also think the service is a bit lackluster. It seems like the girls never understand me when I order… geez English IS my first language. So overall, I wouldnt go out of my way to get ice cream or ices from here. But if I happen to be driving by w/a craving then fine, I’ll check to see if they have Rum Raisin… AGAIN!

I really can care less how much they charge for the gelato /ices because theres nowhere else around that has such an extensive list of flavors! The girl that works here is nice and patient. The only negative is no parking! My fave is the creamsicle and pistachio!

The prices have gone up again, now it’s $ 6 for a pint of ice, but you can’t argue the quality! Uncle Louie G’s is always a good bet for a sweet treat, but the ices are where you do best. So many varieties, with my favorites the cantaloupe, watermelon, rainbow and coconut. Other non-ice flavors that are awesome are the cannoli, rainbow cookie and pistachio! Be warned that this location is on a stretch of avenue U that has no parking, so make sure you go onto the side streets to park! Parking on Stuart Street on the side of Marine park is the best bet. Enjoy and happy summer!

You want a good laugh? Ask them for a banana split or a fudge sundae! The girls at the front are about a sharp as a wooden spoon! Service is terrible. Ice cream was good but I was completely frustrated with the answers I got from the two Russian girls. You at least expect someone that works at an ice cream shop to know some basic things! Also, cant park there, have to pull over and pray that your car doesn’t get hit from behind or block someones driveway! Ordered two shakes, $ 13.80. Went to Manhattan last week, two shakes, tasted better and larger, $ 12.50. Not good to be more $$$ then the city and smaller with employees that don’t know the ice cream lingo.

I always great service over here. No parking in front of the store though. I am sad in October when it closes for the winter.

When you find yourself in need of refreshment on a walk through Marine Park, Uncle Louie G’s is the perfect place to find it, and also the perfect way to replace all the calories you’ve just burned! Yummy ice cream, excellent shakes, even sugar-free chocolate and vanilla.

God this place reminds me of summers spent at my grandmother’s house in Brooklyn, watching the world go by on a stoop and chasing kids up and down the sidewalk… I’m not sure how«authentic» this ice is but who cares! It is refreshingly tasty, cheap and accessible ! Go with the melon ice… either cantaloupe or honey dew. DELICIOUS!

Brooklyn ices at their best. I remember when this was their only location. I’ve never had a flavor that I didn’t like, though my favorite is the chocolate oreo. The prices are pretty high but the portions are huge. This place is the perfect ending after a nice Saturday or Sunday afternoon hanging out at the park.

Love me some Louie G! I keep bumping into these little blue and white striped dessert shops around Kings County. I prefer their spumoni, rocky road and coconut ice. Delicious…a little high priced… but not super expensive. Located right by Marine Park.

Chocolate jelly ring flavor ices with huge chunks of confection in every spoonful. Apparently the best cantaloupe flavor too, down to the icy wateriness. Pinkberry ain’t got sh*t on that. This place has changed owners every year and was once a knish place. you can’t keep a good thing down though, and now that the good weather is here, the doors(well window) is once again open. Perfect after a few laps around Marine Park or the marshes.
