I had a huge craving for bakes and salt fish so I figured I’d try this place out since its been bookmarked. Glad I did, and I was not disappointed. The bakes was not too oily, and the fish was not salty. I will definitely be back again.

What keeps me coming back? Can you say shrimp wontons, chicken roti and don’t forget to add the curried mango(yes, I said curried mango). And lest not forget the cow foot soup, and it’s offered year ’round! That’s right, some of us like soup even when it’s not freezing cold out. Tried the curried crab and dumplings, but the dumplings were way too big and way too doughy(couldn’t possibly eat those huge dumplings and many were not fully cooked and slightly raw inside). But damn they get a pass for that shit. Their customer service was on point whenever I went in, so much so that I broke my standing rule of not tipping when a tip jar is out and labeled«tips». Anyway, go forth and order, do it early tho, they get mad busy.

First of all if your expecting good customer service, this isn’t the place. Even the customer in front of me was hey have a good day. Smile geez. With that said the food is generous in portion and good. I had the roast bake and fry fish with garlic sauce and ketchup. It was huge and hearty. if your starving come here. I look forward to the saltfish and fried bake for next time.

4 stars for the food 1 star for the service, last few experiences the servers don’t smile and treat the customers as if they are not a priority. With that said the doubles, oxtail, chinese style chicken are all delicious, but if you expect to be treated as a paying customer this isn’t the place for you

Takes a minute to order but the doubles were very good with light soft bread and flavorful channa. Ask for extra tamarind/pepper sauce. One of the only spots that has a decent place to sit and enjoy your food also.

So I live just around the corner from the breakfast shed… and on weekends this is where I go get breakfast and dinner. The food is great but the line is long and definitely worth it. The staff is friendly and the food is great. Best bake and shark hands down… and their Chinese chicken is finger lickin… fried wontons you can’t get enough of. I love this place because I feel like I am back home every time i eat their food.

Overall I’m really pleased with the service at Trini breakfast shed. I will call in advance to place my order. I always get chicken roti with MANGO(lordddd that mango sings… I digress) now, you want to order early before they run out of mango or you’re left with bitter sadness however the roti without the mango is still fantastic. The mango is just spiced so perfectly, and they have these super big electronic screens with the menu above the registers so everything is clear. They take both cash and credit. You have the opportunity to have your roti separate or already rolled. I always opt for already rolled but my mom loves all her stuff separate. I will say the lines get CRAZY, which to me is indicative of superior food. I don’t want to eat anywhere that doesn’t have major«flockage» They have tables so that you may eat in or take your food to go. From what I’ve seen, most take their food to go however. Whenever I’m in the mood for great Trini food, this is my one and only stop, I’ve tried others before but they have one my heart. The food is visible, In warmer metal pans secured by the clean glass which makes me sooo comfortable because you see the food as it’s prepared. I like to see what’s going on, where my food is coming from, and how you put it together. They’ve always had a pleasant demeanor when I’ve come, and I always leave my change/tip, food service is a hot hardworking profession… And with food like that, it’s well deserved :) Next time I go, I’ll have to try something else besides the roti but I’m SOADDICTED !!

I had the curried crab with dumplings & it was GOOD! The crabs were soft & tender. They didn’t taste like they were frozen even though they were dungeness crabs & were definitely not fresh. Plus, they gave you plenty of food. The dumplings were flat & not round which is different but enjoyable. I would definitely recommend going there on the weekends as opposed to going during the week. The last time I went during the week for the same meal, it wasn’t as good. The only thing I really didn’t like was the ordering process. You wait in line to order the food then you wait in another line to pay. As you can imagine, it was completely confusing & made the wait unneccesarily longer then it should have been. If they could fix the ordering processing it would be great. However, I will definitely return & try other things on the menu.
