How there was a bar in the slope that has outdoor seating and is dog friendly existed without me knowing about it escapes me. Good prices and a killer juke box. Count me in.

Went here last night and really loved it. It was quite small, so I can’t imagine being there on a weekend if it kicks up. The bartender was incredibly friendly, and was talking to the locals/regulars in between helping customers. Loved that there was a juke box and a stack of board games on top. I absolutely indulged in Connect Four. I’ll definitely be back again if I’m in the area!

Cozy Park Slope bar. Nothing crazy happening. Went on a Friday night and the scene was an older crowd. Good place to grab a quick drink when it’s too cold to venture far.

Been here for two dates. It’s warm and cozy, especially on winter nights. Ample, but crowded seating. Expensive cocktails, nothing remarkable.

Have been coming here after work for such a long time. Great service, and a very big community place with lots of service industry people coming by late night. Recommend it for someone looking for a quiet place where they can relax, and meet some people from around the neighborhood.

I love this unassuming little local bar, there’s little alley/side entrance, how cool is that?!! bartender is friendly, there’s tons of regulars and most importantly, awesome happy hours and bike friendly! there’s plenty of beers to choose from, and we still need to work on my cocktail preference!

Tiny, but with good beer and drinks in a friendly atmosphere. I went there after climbing at brooklyn boulders and have been hooked ever since.

I was underwhelmed for the price and the music was okay. But it’s nice to have a neighborhood bar like sackett. The atmosphere is not that great, but it suffices for an in-between drink. The happy hour is the best time to go.

Friendly folks, great drinks(they’ve got some serious cocktail talent behind the bar), and a cozy feel makes this a winner. It’s a few doors off of 4th Ave which adds to its appeal for me. *The reason I found this place was that I went to see a friends band play at Lucky 13 on a Saturday night. Lucky 13 was crazy busy so somebody suggested the Sackett. So psyched we found this little spot! If you see a band at L13 and there are some women in your party who may squirm at the go-go dancers on the bar bring them over to the Sackett for a wonderful time.

I’ve avoided writing this review because I love cozy little Sackett and I don’t really want to get the word out. The space is very small, room for maybe 20 people to sit. However, I’ve had the pleasure of securing the large corner booth more than once and it’s a prime place to while away the evening. The Sackett has a decent beer selection, including Estrella Daura(gluten free) and a shot and beer special that my compatriots are always ordering… They also have Bogota empanadas on the menu for those with an appetite. Overally, The Sackett has the perfect neighborhood place, cozy, not too loud, not too dive-y. Now I just have to move into the neighborhood! :)

**100th Reviewer alert!** Guess this review and things working out there was meant to be because I had a great time! Got away from the crowd at Union Hall Saturday night and ended up in this cute, warm and cozy shack by 4th Ave(or as I’d like to call it «Brooklyn’s version of the deep end of Hell’s Kitchen»). It is so tiny, we nearly missed it by a second but that’s what makes it so special. There is only one person running the place and that would be the bartender. My friends and I were hungry by the time we got here and asked if the kitchen was still opened. They strictly serve alcohol only, but suggested that we were welcome to have outside food. We brought in our food and the bartender guy was more than kind and accommodating and got us napkins and brought us our drinks. I cannot count the number of times he left the bar to help us(mostly me). Most bottles are only $ 5, which I cannot recall at any place, other than during Happy Hour. Keep in mind that this is in a nice part of Brooklyn, too. This is a really nice place for a quieter nice during the Winter and I will totally be back if I’m in the area.

Never noticed this bar before, unless it’s rather new. Stopped by on a beautiful weekday afternoon and the place was empty. Gets a lot of good afternoon sunlight. There are a few places to sit outside, too. Wasn’t overly impressed by the beer selection, but the bartender was kind if not overly chatty. They have a couple outlets to plug in your electronica. They have food here, too, I think, but I didn’t have any.

This bar is somehow both cozy and airy – the coziness comes from it being small-ish and dark and woodsy, and the airiness from the small patio and the seats outside out front. They have a teeny selection of bar foods(peanuts and empanadas, from what I could see) and $ 6 draughts during happy hour. I was here on a Sunday, early evening, and it was quiet and a chill place to hang out with friends.

Brooklyn Boulder’s has a website that they don’t use to update their customers. So while 50 unitard-clad climbers bounced on trampolines around the corner, I found myself at the Sackett kicking ass at Scrabble. The drinks were drinks and those drinks were cheap. $ 10 with tip for two G+Ts and an hour’s worth of top-notch procrastination. The crowd was weak, but it was also an August weekend in Park Slope. I put off eating until after exercising, which I later regretted. The empanadas looked scrumptious. I’ll inevitably return for the bartender. Witty, no-nonsense, and generous with the booze. What else can you ask for.

To unwind, to grab a drink(or two, as my friends pointed out), to relax after crazy day at work, to breathe, to enjoy good music, to let steam out or to have a normal conversation — this is that kind of place. Great happy hour specials, good wine, nice beer on tap, tasty snacks, cozy atmosphere, very friendly folks. My favorite thing besides drinks? Hanging bat sculptures, of course. So. Cool. Wish they would have more food options.

Cool bartenders, small but tasty selection of beers, great vibe… this is a really nice place. It’s small and cozy but the crowd is laid back and friendly. There’s a small outdoor space.

I live too close to this place for my own good. Not too big, not too small. Board games aplenty(even if the Connect 4 does have some checker instead of playing pieces – hey, still works!). A good selection of draft beers that rotates often enough to stay interesting, and a few good bottles/cans in addition to the usual light beer fare. The first time I came here, it was trivia night, and way too crowded for my taste. However, I had gone not knowing about trivia, so I gave it another shot on an evening where people weren’t clamoring for tables and a spot to discreetly check their answers on their iPhones without the trivia gods noticing. The next time I went? So much quieter, so much better. Bonus points for having a small outdoor area, for being cool and respecting the residential street it’s on, and for allowing the cutest dogs to hang out outside.

The Sackett is a super cute Park Slope bar with a rustic, cozy feel, good happy hour specials($ 2 off cocktails and I think beer on weekdays, $ 1 off on weekends, meh on the weekend special), lots of board games in the corner and fun music playing at a volume that’s conducive to normal conversations or going into deep thought if you’re drinking alone. Luke was the bartender the day I was there and he was super sweet and friendly. They also sell EMPANADAS which I hope to try some day because Lord knows that I looooooove me some delicious empanadas! Also, here’s a tip — none of the train directions Unilocal gives will work to get you here. Use HopStop if, like me, you’re not a pro at navigating Brooklyn. Cheers!

I want to live in The Sackett. No, really. I’ve had this place bookmarked forever and kept meaning to try it. Not only had I heard good things about it from locals but one of my high school buddies that lives out in Los Angeles now randomly mentioned it as a great Brooklyn cocktail bar ages ago. If someone that lives 3,000 plus miles away recommends a bar relatively close to my neighborhood, I probably should have gone several years ago at least. It’s dark inside and relatively small but has a cozy atmosphere and a whole slew of board games in the corner. I imagine it gets more crowded at night or on weeknights when you get $ 2 off cocktails. $ 1 for weekends. They additionally have a $ 9 empanada/beer combo special that I did end up taking advantage of at some point. First, of all our bartender, Luke, was pretty freaking fantastic. Not only did he recommend fantastic cocktails but we learned about the adventures of travelling across the entire country from Washington to New York. Man. The menu is divided into specialty and classic cocktails. I ordered something with copious amounts of bourbon and then for my second cocktail we ended up mocking up one of their drinks with Kraken rum and it tasted AMAZING. Kraken rum is life. My friend also doctored up a drink with prosecco and some kind of orange bitters. Not the biggest fan of it ever. It kind of tastes like Orangina but I can see how it would grow on you fast. Empanadas come from Bogota Latin Bistro across the street. The vegetarian one was not too bad.
