The Panther Room & Canopy Bar

I love it: it’s not crowded, people are chill and only few weirdos, cozy fire, dope view from the roof top, great sound system, never had a bad dj here and it’s a good escape from output when things start to get on your nerves there

I was out and about looking for a place to unwind and relax. So I came across this spot and decided to check it out.
Its not the most posh and refined rooftop venue, however it was very unpretentious and relaxing. The drinks are overpriced. I wanted an old fashioned but was given an alternative drink option which I accepted (all good). The crowd was mixed and the music was good.
I would recommend this place for a gathering with good friends who want to drink a little, dance a little and enjoy the mix crowd this is the spot.

Connected to Output and free, doesn’t get much better. Was packed on a Sunday until 4am with great DJ sets. Awesome rooftop bar with friendly and beautiful people. Not the most ‘posh’ spot (rooftop is killer) but drinks are still expensive and it can get a little overcrowded (had my drink spilled accidentally by the bouncer and the DJ) so i’ll give it four stars.

I shared a bite with a friend of mine and only had one bite. Honestly, literally one of the best bites I’ve ever had. No bullshit. The mix of savory, fresh toppings and a toasted bun, the experience was magical. I don’t work for them or have any ties. It’s just really really good! Must try it!!!

The rooftop deserves 4 stars, and the inside 3. I’ve never been to Output but heard it’s awesome, so that made my mediocre experience in the Panther Room more frustrating.
It was super, super overcrowded when I arrived at midnight. The bartenders weren’t that friendly, and they didn’t have many beer options. I paid a TON for a big Sapporo and a vodka drink. The bathrooms are single, unisex stalls with a gruff bathroom attendant. The bathroom line went straight into the super crowded bar and took about 25 minutes. Poor layout up there, although I did like being able to look down on the DJs and the super squished dancing fools.
At least the rooftop was spacious, not too crowded and had a great view. But they had no bartender working the outdoor bar. Maybe next time!

I was there yesterday and the vibe was awesome. Besides the fact it was hot the atmosphere inside the club was vibrant, the décor inside is something that you would see in a movie. The staff was very helpful and courteous especially the bouncers. The rooftop was amazing and totally unlike anything I ever saw. To accommodate being in the heat they have an outdoor bar, and a nice layout. The bouncers were very polite and helpful on the rooftop he made you feel very comfortable. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that the air conditioning was not working, so that kind of killed my vibe a little. But when I let the music take over I didn’t even realize it. I would recommend you to get there during the summer to see the view and experience the hospitality of the staff and especially the bouncers on the rooftop. Only piece of advice I would have for the management would b to have the bouncers in something more comfortable in the heat most of them looked hot maybe some shorts for the summer would be nice

Really awesome on a balmy Summer evening. Really amazing vibe and good tunes. Great spot to go before heading out for the night. It closes at 10pm, which is way too early to go into Output so come here, go eat dinner afterwards, then come back to Output at 1pm.

Just when I thought Output couldn’t get any better, I took a peek at the Panther Room. The Panther Room is beautiful inside.
I went last Thursday when Thomas Brinkmann, Brendon Moeller & Reade Truth were spinning. The music was great. I always love hearing new music & I’m not one of those people that will only see people I know. What’s the fun in that?
The crowd was chill & seemed to be having a fun time dancing. My brother & his girlfriend had never been to Output or The Panther Room before & they loved both places.
The roof top has a beautiful view & it was a nice place to sit down & relax. I’m glad there is another awesome place to dance in the neighborhood. The Panther Room is nothing like any place in the Meatpacking & the bouncers are friendly & they do their job well.

This place definitely blows. The staff could use some charm school and the overall vibe is pretty ‘meh’. The bathrooms are ridiculous, I’m 5ft tall and my back is pretty normal for my height as far as wideness goes and each of my shoulders pretty much touched the adjacent walls. GROSS.
The only thing they really have going for them is a nicely laid out, dual rooftop with a nice view of the Manhattan skyline — coming here with friends on an afternoon might not be so bad if in the right company, but I’d never come here with the sole purpose for actually coming here… if that makes any sense, lol.

This place is the worst.
They took the worst of the Meatpacking district and plopped it right in the middle of north Williamsburg. The door guys are aggressive and rude and almost threatening, and that was AFTER we paid the cover.
Don’t be fooled by the idea that this place has music on it’s roof. It’s silent and sort of gloomy up there.
Oh did you want to pay $ 7 for a Corona? Awesome, you are in luck.
The DJ we saw that night was actually pretty good but the intense amount of wanna-​be douche ooze and silly drink prices killed it for us.
If you can find anywhere else to go in the burg, defiantly go there.
