i’m never 100% sure when this place is open and at one point thought Teafee was closed for good, but one sunday morning i walked by and decided to give it a try. the iced coffee was average for sure, but the atmosphere inside was actually very inviting and clean. i really liked the electronic menu… super easy to read and no surprises when it was time to pay my bill. i agree with Unilocal’s 3 star review– A-OK!

I was a regular here until I tried to redeem my full punch card and was told it was only good for a regular drip coffee — although I’ve been regularly spending money here on a speciality latte. To add insult to injury, the clerk was very condescending about the whole thing like I was trying to pull a fast one when I requested my usual. I was really looking forward to finally getting my free coffee but walked away feeling like I never wanted to return.

Came in here on a whim for a quick cup of coffee. The girl was very sweet and helpful. Very good coffee too. It’s a cute working café too if you need to do something on your laptop. It’s not necessarily quiet though.

Thr vibe have changed again or maybe it the people who I thought was nice. Been here lots of times. I received bad customer service and some good But on Aug 26, 2015 and received bad customer service. But with certain workers The person I thought was nice harmean gave bad customer service. Also Rayna made up lies. They said the Macha latte was the best and I tasted it. I did not like it. So I ask for a for another drink and the difference and with an attitude a lady gave me the chance with a nasty look including harmean Not good. But I will still come here if I don’t see harmean or Rayna. There. But there are a few good people their that works there. This place lost my business The Macha latte was not the best. But still the other teas are good Came here sep 102015 and I got to say may have made my day. She is compassionate, caring and does the job well. She made this place get a 4 star. She should get the customer service award. I don’t want to see the dudes face and presence. He is very mean and have a bad attitude

Sub par iced latte. A bit too pricey for the taste quality of the drink I received. It could just be an isolated incident. However, The staff was very nice and helpful.

It was my first time here about two days ago. I do love the atmosphere and the workers are really nice but I was really confused with the menu. I just settled with a caramel machiatto which was very strong but smooth. It is a bit expensive, expect to pay about $ 10 for your food; but their sandwiches are really good. They also have a wine bar as well, which is pretty nice. I didn’t order but I did see it, so that’s an incentive to try out whenever I come back. Overall a good place even though it’s a bit expensive.

I came in for the first time recently. Scanned the menu and decided on a macchiato Bc i needed the boost. Some guy took my order behind the counter and seemed nice enough. However, a lady decided to butt in and ask if i knew what a macchiato was… Um, you should probably not imply that your patrons don’t know what they are ordering. Im not sure who doesn’t know what a macchiato is but im certain if thats the case they wouldn’t be able to pronounce it let alone venture to blindly order it. I dont know if this pissed me off more so bc i didn’t have any caffeine in my system but to me she came off as a giant douche. Next time ill venture a little further to my normal spot, they seem to think i look«sophisticated» enough to know what im ordering. To be fare the gentleman was nice and the drink decent(hence the rating) but the woman left a sour taste in my mouth and ruined my first and possibly last experience here.

I’m not sure if I came on an off day or something but their matcha drinks were awful. I had a large matcha and matcha latte. I liked the latte art it came in but the matcha was horrible. It tasted very low grade and incredibly watered down… The atmosphere is nice and they offer free wifi. I like the seating area, the concept of the store is pretty cool with the teaffee idea and the offerings of coffee and tea, they have a great selection of both. I’m not sure if I ordered the wrong item, perhaps they’re not so good at making matchas or matcha lattes? They’re not as awful as matcha bar but it did not taste rich at all and it tasted like 80% water fused with matcha. I added some agave to see if it would improve the taste, which only helped ever so slightly. The matcha is slightly worse than the matcha latte. friendly service though, not sure if I’ll be back.

Really cute tea/coffee place and I recommend going to the back for their leather couch. Buttermilk Channel was going to be an hour wait for brunch, so we decided to stop here and get drinks first. We kind of gave the baristas a hard time by telling them«Surprise us with 2 drinks» and they accepted the challenge with an open mind. And surprised we both were because the drinks were awesome! I personally am not a fan of lemonade mixed in with tea, but their blueberry arnold palmer was delicious! If you’re thinking of something refreshing and unsweetened, I’d recommend their hibiscus tea too. However, if you need that extra sugar rush, they also have sugar water and agave by the counter to sweeten up your day! No more packaged sugar that just sits at the bottom of your cup. They were also willing to change our drinks, free on the house, if we didn’t like it(but I would never do such thing cause my intention was to try something new).

This places makes the best matcha(green tea) latte I’ve ever had. The color is absolutely beautiful and it tastes even better. Really nice place to sit down and study, or simply read a book. Sweet and knowledgable employees.

Venue — Clean and modern café lined with glass walls. Restroom, wifi and outlets available. Earl Grey Latte — Couldn’t really taste the tea, only milk. Hazelnut Rooibos Latte — Taste of 95% milk and only 5% tea. Teaffee — Much stronger tasting than the tea lattes and makes for a nice fragrant coffee. Matcha Latte — Recommend out of all the other tea lattes I tried. This is more flavorful and rich. It could be a hit or miss depending on what you order. The black tea lattes could have used some coffee in it for a stronger taste since it’s like drinking straight up milk. I thought based on the name of the place, the lattes would also be half tea half coffee, but only the teaffee is. + Free wifi + Outlets + Comfortable seating — Drinks aren’t the best

Wonderful atmosphere. Cozy in here with great local art hanging out on the walls and beautiful scones! I was also surprised to find they had a few local beers on tap which was awesome. The building is in a great location for people watching as well. This would be a great spot to meet a friend or two and enjoy an afternoon or even just for a little time alone.

This is a cute little coffee shop right across from CKO gym. The place a new and clean looking and they have outlets !!! So important for an iPhone user like me, who’s phone is always dead! I am happy to report the latte was delicious and made fast, hot and correctly. I also had a croissant and that was delicious too. Now I need to go work it off at CKO, before I get cellulite :) Definitely check this place out if you are in the area and looking for a good cup of coffee :)

This review is only for the iced coffee. It was extremely watered down and flavorless. I may come back to try their other drinks in the future. Seems like a nice spot where you can sit and work on your laptop or enjoy a book.

I would have given this place 3.5 stars based on their products, but they earned respect in a few important areas IMHO… Service is too notch! My BFF is a local and this is her neighborhood stop. She walked in was greeted with joy and appreciation and her order was remembered and made with a kind smile. They lose me on their drab décor and design concept. It’s really not very inviting in a neighborhood of warm, artistic, and personal charmed places. It’s like semi art-deco meets cold Starbucks blah… Even their colors and logo are off putting. Seriously consider a rebrand and maintain the amazing charmed service and kindness. Further extra bonus points for milk alternatives and almond milk! Big score. Now you lose points for not a single GF pastry or snack item. Truthfully the espresso drink I had was just ok. A little bitter for my coffee snob ways, but certainly better than Starbucks any days or night if the week! Go for the smiles and kindness and hope they get their concept aligned with the pulse of the neighborhood!

clean, friendly service but ran out of a lot of things when we went it was a hot saturday, and the frozen coffee ice cream beverage was AMAZEBALLS. also had a arnold palmer; nothing special about that but it wasn’t bad either. will try the coffee and espresso next time!

Bright. Clean. Green. It’s one of those café/tea shops that you can bring a book to read or a computer to do work or meet with the girls for a coffee date. Free Wifi for customers. I really enjoyed their teas and coffees. Prices were reasonable. I’d def. come here again. It’s just a nice neighborhood tea shop that I feel really comfortable and nice in. Friendly staff.

I actually happened upon this café quite by accident. Having set up a date at Buttermilk Channel but being quite sleep-deprived that day, I decided to duck into a café beforehand to get a pick-me-up. Unilocal led me to Teaffee, the closest café in the area, so I gave it a try. Of course, I had to try their eponymous drink(tea + coffee = teaffee), what with such high Unilocal reviews. Boy, was I disappointed! Neither good coffee, nor good tea, blended together to make an even shittier drink. I’m not a big coffee drinker but I have had high quality coffees and this was not high quality by any long shot. The tea, even less, and I /do/know my teas. Whatever tea they use in teaffee, it tastes only slightly better than Lipton, which is probably as terrible as terrible teas can get. I only stomached the drink for the caffeine. My date joined me later and tried some of my teaffee only to be just as disgusted by the taste. He ordered an espresso shot instead but only ended up taking 2 or 3 sips because there were coffee grounds in the shot. Either the machine wasn’t cleaned properly or the filter required changing. I am being generous with this 2-star rating. Were it not for the clean, somewhat comfy layout, and the decently friendly staff, this place would get barely 1 star. TLDR(date’s pov): Place looks nice, coffee is yuck, tea was low quality(are they serving Lipton?), and coffee mixed with tea is just a shitty idea. Tea/Coffee variety and quality: 1⁄5 — Awful Service: 3⁄5 — Decently friendly Atmosphere: 2⁄5 — Clean(though I do remember the seats being somewhat sticky and crumbs on the tables and such) and somewhat comfy, but nothing remarkable Overall: 2⁄5 — service = ok /food = bad

Stopped by after an intense yoga class hungry and thirsty. I immediately ordered a scone(which was absolutely delish — next time I’m trying their sandwiches!). And then I paused on the beverage — coffee or tea… The barista sensed a customer in distress dived in and began quizzing me on what I was looking for. I blurted out red tea and she suggested a latte. As we got closer to my selection, she asked if I liked hazelnut. And we have found my tea — Hazelnut Rooibos. Absolutely perfect! My experience as a sometimes(okay…oftentimes) indecisive tea drinker was grand. I discovered a newfound love for flavored Rooibos and a new café spot in Brooklyn to chill at.
