This place was great. Vietnamese coffee was ethereal. Now it’s closed and I cry every morning.

This woman was an absolute bitch. I ordered a small iced coffee and asked for light ice. When I got my change I was short 50 cents and she said it was an upcharge because it meant more coffee. First of all you should tell your customers ahead of time there is and upcharge and secondly there was a shitload of ice in my coffee, literally to the brim, and thirdly this woman had an attitude unlike one I’ve ever experienced in customer service or otherwise. I regret coming here.

Great coffee and service. Unlike a lot of cafes in Brooklyn, the staff here are very friendly and helpful. They will make your coffee how you like it without rolling their eyes. It’s also very convenient being able to grab coffee right from the sidewalk.

4 stars because only 1 cupcake blew me away! That was the Mexican chocolate! It was so delicious with a hint of cinnamon on top with a small spice to it. I wouldn’t give it 5 stars because my service was a little fast and the lady in the front window was a tad bit obnoxious. She immediately shut my dreams down on a cake order for April and didn’t even tell me when I can actually place an order for the future. I’ve never been to this location but I did see a door near the window that said«Open» so I asked if I could come in and she said«No» with a nasty demeanor. So I’m assuming this is a whole in the wall joint where you order from the window??? Nonetheless the coconut cupcake was ok but very dry, the all chocolate cupcake was more of a Mocha cupcake rather than actual chocolate and the strawberry cupcake was good but also dry. I would definitely come here again for the Mexican cupcake and I’ll have to try the other few. $ 2.75 for a cupcake is a bit pricy, considering they aren’t all that big. So if you want plenty of cupcakes but don’t want to spend the money, go elsewhere. I’d come just for the Mexican cupcakes and a future cake, so let’s see how that will play out.

I love the back story for this little gem! What a great true to the spirit small business. Their sugar doughnuts are amazing. And their coffee. Worth a shot!

Amazing coffee, fantastic food. Super friendly staff. What else is there to say? This is my go to place for my Saturday morning hang over coffee and croissant. Oh and those croissants… How are they so amazingly soft on the inside and deliriously flakey on the outside. The grab and go is ideal for someone like me who doesn’t normally have time to sit around waiting 20 minutes for a cup of coffe. I love this little place.

I have literally been coming here every weekend and I don’t even feel badly about it! Diet Shmiet! These things are too fricken good to pass up. So let’s get down to business: Of the cupcakes, I have tried the Strawberry, Red Velvet, Dulce De Leche, Marble, Mexican Chocolate, Vanilla, and I think another one that may have had cinnamon on it but I can’t remember. My favorite ones are the strawberry and the Dulce De Leche. O-M-G! Some of these cupcakes have like little surprises in them and it makes me squeal like the little piggy that I am. I seriously have become obsessed with these things. OH! ANNNNNND I’ve tried the Snickerdoodles. MMM! I had it as a midnight snack once and OMG! That was a good snicker-fricken-doodle man! Stop by this place if you’re ever in the neighborhood. It’s such a tiny little shop but it’s filled with such magical little treats! ENJOY!!!

Great little shop with tasty storefront displaying fresh, home baked goods. Had a taste of some cupcakes and cookies and really liked them. Can be a bit dry, but flavor usually makes up for it. Music gives away who’s in control of tunes that day, though I always enjoy my waiting music. Service is good. Friendly workers taking time and interest in your coffee. Will be returning quite some times as it’s on my daily route. When leaving with a hot beaverage take note of the 1 step on your left and at your back. A hurry might spill some.

Very good cupcakes. I really liked how the icing wasn’t too sweet and was light. My biggest gripe against these cupcakes is that the actual cake was a little dry and I wish they had the names of the cupcakes in the window since the street noise can be loud while they are trying to explain the choices. Overall, a good cupcake, just wish they were a bit bigger and was not so dry.

YESYESYESYESYES Cupcake heaven. Best cupcakes EVER. 100% worth the walk from the subway station. It’s a tiny little shop with the sweetest workers ever. They have a variety of cuppycakes and I want to try every single one of them. They also make cakes for special occasions — I will definitely be keeping them in mind and recommending them to EVERYONE. Seriously that good. I had the coconut cuppycake, I’m completely obsessed with coconut 10⁄5. My friend got the strawberry cuppycake and she was INLOVE. Our other friend got the dulce de leche even though he was on a diet, whatever that is. Absolutely no complaints.

My cousin brought me some cupcakes from here for my birthday… She ordered the strawberry short cake cupcakes and they were GREAT. Me being a diabetic dessert choices are limited so in order to exercise portion control my cousin felt cupcakes would be the best choices. Although the cupcakes were not sugar free they were not overly sweet or taste like they were over run with sugar. I also don’t like the taste of bakery treats because they taste to commercial for me but these cupcakes taste home baked and were light and fluffy. The strawberries were fresh and juicy. The frosting for the cupcakes were made with whip cream and that do taste great. I would definitely recommend this bakery to friends and family and I will definitely make it my business to try some more of their tasty cupcakes.

If you have not checked this place out, you are missing out. Elaine really knows her stuff. On a day to day basis there is something small for everyone as far as their amazing take aways. If however you need something like a custom cake, this place shines! Be careful you can walk right by it on the street and miss it, nothing fancy going on the outside, its all about the yummy center!

Best cupcakes ever!!! Can’t believe they exist on the same block alongside with crack/dope heads yelling at one another. Far cry from the loud salsa music. But so worth it. I almost passed it on my way home because the store front is very small. My sweet tooth urged me to go for a second look and I’m so glad I did. Their cupcakes are deeeelicious.

I stopped in here one Saturday afternoon and it was close to their closing so they had very limited cupcakes left. I did get the cocoa and dulce de Leche. The cupcakes were good just not as «wow» as I was expecting. The staff was very friendly and patiently answered all my questions. I’m going to return and check them out earlier in the day to check out more of their cupcake flavors.

I ordered a custom cake from here for my Burthday in July && Elaine made me a cake that was so WONDERFUL! It was beyond my expectations in both taste and appearance! This is officially my GOTO Bakery! p. S. don’t judge a book by the cover. Take a Look Inside! It’s a great place in an unexpected location!

Strawberries & Cream is my new favorite cupcake here. Moist & not too sweet. I love trying new things at this place. They also have great sandwiches for meat lovers & vegans. Freshly made chicken & ham on delicious focaccia bread. I am not a big fan of iced coffee but the one I had here was delicious. It tasted fresh & not watered down. The owner displays a book of her creations from wedding cakes to birthday cakes. Tell her your vision & she will ensure you are satisfied. Delivery is available.

Great little bakery on Knickerbocker Ave. the store itself is very small, but as you can see from the photos– they put out a good product! I would absolutely order a cake from here. They also have a great policy that a day-old cupcake is free with a $ 5 purchase($ 1 otherwise). I really just stopped in for a quick bite to eat, but free cupcake? Sure. I would totally eat a cupcake that I had made yesterday, so why wouldn’t you try a pro’s? It’s a great way to prevent food from going to waste. I chose the margarita cupcake(never had one of those before!) from an impressive array of flavor combos. The icing was delicious! Didn’t get much of a margarita flavor from the cake, but this place was definitely good enough to come back to try again. The roasted vegetable puff pastry($ 6) was good. Buttery, light flavor. Not super filling, but a great snack on your stroll down Knickerbocker. I’ll be back to try some other flavors. That strawberry shortcake one looked very good, as well. Yum!
