Honestly at first I was apprehensive about going. But after being taken there it’s going to be my go to spot in the area. Very good sushi, nice place, no frills but authentic. And great price. 10⁄10 would recommend.

Love this unpretentious mom and pop shop! No Mexican making sushi or deliver take outs just this lovely old Korean couple. Food is good, not the best but the owners and the atmosphere deserves a 5! A classic nostalgic family business you see in some Japanese movie in a small town. So rare to see in NY!

Yay! Found another hidden gem in Brooklyn Heights near Promenade. Loved their volcano roll and explosion roll. It was my second time eating sushi rolls in my life and I got to enjoy eating it more. Will visit again:

I absolutely love this place. It is a small intimate restuarant connected to the train station but makes the best sushi. I have been going to this place for 4 years. I always bring out of town guests and they love it.

Absolutely delicious! Fresh, large portions and inexpensively priced. This place is not as fancy as the neighboring sushi establishments but tastes much better. It’s not about the décor and pretentious atmosphere; it’s all about the food!

The location was quite small and nondescript, but once I started eating I was extremely pleased. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. For the price you really get a lot of food. We were quite surprised by how stuffed we were at the end of our meal– something that does not usually happen with sushi! I got the spicy combo and really enjoyed it. We also loved the spider and shrimp tempura rolls! I will definitely go back and recommend it for someone looking for a nice little sushi place with great food!

I chose the place randomly and was quite surprise with the food. Very good place. I think it is a family business. The wait was a little bit as we were the only one in the restaurant but it worth it. They are very generous with the fish. It was more authentic then ozy that it is on the other side of the street. I never hang out there so it will be difficult to go there but will return if I am in the area.

Talk about hole in the wall. This tiny place serves up some of the best sushi I have ever had(and I eat a lot of sushi). The rolls are fresh, delicious, and incredibly satisfying all at a reasonable price. Again, it is an incredibly small place with no more than about 5 tables and a little bar seating so it provides an intimate setting. However, we went on a Sunday evening and it was not packed at all. Overall, GREATSUSHI.

A very comfortable, casual sushi bar that serves sushi rolls that are fresh fat and very pretty to look at. The tea they serve is also very nicely brewed(which is frequently refilled by the friendly owner), which complemented the sushi I had. Korean couple who run the place are very friendly too. Will go again!

Really big, fat, delicious, and fresh sushi rolls in the most unexpected of places: a small sushi restaurant attached to Clark Street subway station. Unilocal pointed me here, and my boyfriend and I ordered the following rolls: Volcano, Alaska, Explosion, and Romantic Sunset. Holy sh*t, the special rolls, particularly the Volcano, are amazing and filling. I mean sure, you don’t get the ambiance of a nicer sushi restaurant, but if all you care about is the food then you will be more than satisfied. The special rolls are priced around $ 10 – 15(comparable to other places) but much bigger, and they are generous with the fish. It’s owned by a couple and they appeared to be the only ones cooking, so it took a little while for the food to come out, but it was worth the wait.

The best sushi in Brooklyn Heights. The owners are super nice. And they have ready made take home rolls, super yummy and affordable. Dinners are the easiest when I pick up several on the way home from work.

The rolls are huge! High quality tuna and fresh avocado all around. There’s no wrong item to get, but the Explosion Roll and Firecracker Tuna Roll were some of my favorites. Definitely the best restaurant in Brooklyn Heights.

This cute, cozy(and clean) little sushi place is attached to the 2⁄3 Clark subway stop in Brooklyn Heights. Totally unassuming from the outside, but once inside, you’ll find a nice quiet and relaxing spot to have lunch or supper. The Korean couple who own and run the restaurant are really sweet. Two of my favorites so far are the chirashi(a bed of sushi rice topped with slices of sashimi) and also the Sushi Gallery roll. Prices are totally reasonable considering that the portions are rather generous. If you’re on the go and don’t want to wait, they have a refrigerated section with already prepared vegetarian and non-vegetarian makis.

Sushi joint inside a busy subway station? While that may deter you from going in, stop thinking that nonsense! Good things happen when you least expect it. we need to support more of these mom and pop shops. The couple is so friendly and welcoming. What’s awesome is that if you’re on the go, they have some pre packaged sushi for you to pick up. Price is really reasonable. Spicy tuna/salmon roll for 5 bucks? Bingo. Sushi is fresh and simple. Sure they have the assorted special rolls but if you want something simple as you hustle and bustle on your way in or out of the subway, this place is zen. Yes, I just equated biting into a spicy salmon roll as zen. :cue the gong:

I’ve tried a lot of sushi places and sampled some good rolls, but this place is beyond comparison so far. Its a cozy, warm inviting place for the intimate couple. There is a little wait, but only because its one person making the sushi and he takes his time. Its always worth a try to find a new place and explore its menu. P.S they usually take cash over cards.

Delicious sushi rolls. Huge, creative, and lots of fish in them. My favorite is the Explosion Roll. Adorable presentation. Relatively inexpensive too. The best sushi in the neighborhood.

From the outside, you wouldn’t dare venture in but I’m telling you it’s worth it! It’s a cute mom and pop shop located inside the Clark St subway entrance. It’s an ideal ideal spot for a date, especially if you’re a college student living in the Brooklyn Dorms. The prices won’t burn a hole in your pocket and you’ll be treating your date to a meal they won’t forget! Don’t mind the times listed, usually your best bet is to head in around d 4 — 6 pm when it’s not as busy or 10 — 11, right before they close. Notes: 1. Their spicy tuna and spicy salmon is a tad spicier if your taste buds are new to spicy foods. 2. They no longer serve hot foods minus the dumplings, soup and edemame. 3. They accept credit cards! 4. They have alcohol!
