First time time I’ve tried it in St. Petersburg in Russia. Fell in love with these pirogues! Here is the same quality and deliciousness! Staff is great! Warm and cozy place. My favorite is cottage cheese pie. Really awesome!

Wow! I heard a lot about this place before I visited NYC so I made it a must to eat here on my most recent visit. I must say it was so worth it! I had a rabbit pie which was exceptional. The dough was just perfection, moist and soft. The inside was very flavorful. I also had black currant pie which was a bit too sour to my taste but went very well with strong black tea. My boyfriend had mushroom and potato pie which he liked a lot. I wish the décor was a bit more authentic, but other than that no complaints!

I used to love Stolle pies back in Moscow and was glad the recipe remains the same across the ocean! Everything was fresh and staff super friendly. Recommend!

Looking for a great breakfast? Lunch? Dinner? Snack? STOLLE!!! They serve sweet and savory pies! My favorite is probably the raspberry, cottage cheese, and for savory def the salmon or chicken! Nonetheless, I recommend you to try them all. They are THATGOODAND I am Not even a huge fan of pies. These pies are different, they are a work of art!

The young female staffer was so flustered by: A. a customer entering the space B. questions by said customer about what the place offered C. how to describe any of said offerings Wish that convinced me to turn away, because yikes… the apple pie was dry & doughy even after they heated it up for me. Shame in such a central location that this chain didn’t shine.

writing a preliminary review with the hopes of going back for more. I stopped in just to get coffee today. Stolle is new, kind of small but has some seating(and the seating is cute, kind of comfortable but still Euro looking). The coffee was passable, but I was surprised to see lovely pies — what I think are Eastern European — on the inside. They seem only to sell these pies, which come in sweet and savory varieties, and are made fresh every day, as per the lovely saleswoman. She graciously gave me a sample of the chocolate pastry, which is delicious. It’s kind of babka like — layers of white babka-textured bread with poppy seeds and not-too-sweet chocolate. Makes a really nice mid-afternoon snack. Will update the review once I get some savories.

This place is so great. The pies are super pretty and really delicious. My Russian parents were obsessed– apparently it tastes just like home. The dough is the best I’ve ever had. The savory pies are really filling and yummy but my favorite is the sweet pies. I tried the apple– one of the best apple pies I’ve ever tried. Try this place, it’s amazing.

I don’t usually eat pies, but Stolle Bakery has pretty good pies. I come here a lot after school. They only sell pies, tea and coffee. They DON’T sell bread. Their pies are a Russian German concept of pie. They have different varieties of pie from sweet to savory. The workers here are really nice and will take their time to explain the pie. Their savory pies are rabbit, meat, chicken, salmon, salmon and spinach, mushroom, fish(cod), cabbage, onion, spinach and potato. Their sweets pies are cherry, lemon, strawberry, cottage cheese, Apple, raspberry, plum, dried apricot, and blueberry. (*some of the sweet pies may not be available due to seasonal reasons) The pie that I recommend is the rabbit pie.

Absolutely wonderful — those pies come straight out of the old world fairy tales, they taste like a little piece of heaven and on top of that they look amazing. Each pastry has its own intricate woven design — its almost too pretty to eat.

This is my second visit to this amazing place. From what i understand they have been open for about a month now. I stumble across it by accident and so glad i did. The first visit i got the Rabbit Pie. You can tell the ingredients are of great quality and the seasoning was perfect. This time I had the Meat pie which was also very tasty but i stand firm that the Rabbit Pie was best. My wife had the Apple Pie both times and was amazing.
