UPDATED2⁄2016: New managers and new baristas are definitely making this location a bad one. I really believe that the new baristas here don’t get trained properly. So much attitude in one store. Super long lines that can be easily moved along if they tried. Probably only a handful of nice, customer-oriented workers here.

This is the worst Starbucks I’ve ever been to. The absolute worst. I ordered a white hot chocolate drink on two different days and BOTH times, the order was made incorrectly. I used the mobile ordering to skip the long queue line that is always there. The first time, the drink was made with regular chocolate so I send it back to be remade to what I originally ordered. They remade it no problem. The second time, I saw on the line that it was made already but was just waiting for the whip cream and the lid. The barista, added a shot of espresso into the WHITEHOTCHOCOLATE instead of simply putting hot chocolate and placing the lid on the cup. I send it back because it was made incorrectly, again. At this point, I’ve waited for my drink to be made for 10 minutes compared to the 1 – 4 minutes that was written on my mobile order receipt and I was late for class due to this wait for the drink. These aren’t the only times that they’ve messed up on my drinks. It’s constantly incorrect. This particular Starbucks need to hire new people who can read and get orders correct the first time.

The service was great, the key is preorder. My pumpkin spice latte was the best I have. Keep up the good work.

Q: How many baristas does it take to make a flat white? A: 4 Don’t believe me? Visit this store. Worst Starbucks staff ever.

Very slow service. There is always a line here that moves at a snails pace. I could hardly understand what the person at the register was saying. Dropped a star due to lack of ingredients to make certain drinks.

Very friendly service :) The initial line when I walked in was rather long, however I was at the counter placing my order in under 3 minutes. coffee tastes great. I usually have a difficult time asking for half and half or cream as it is usually easy for people to put more than less. this location does it just right

Usual long wait considering the location. Most of the staff are down to earth and try their best at getting the job done with the exception of the bigger Black female cashier that is almost always there. I want to clarify by saying that I am a Sbux regular, and when I order, it’s straight-cut and to the point, but whenever I am dealt with that particular cashier it always seem like She’s doing me the biggest favor to put my order in and ring me up. Even at the attempts to be friendly with her, she is still rude as always. I would understand if it was just a few instances and that might be justifiable if lady’s had a bad day, but every time over the course of the few years that I’ve visited the location? Unacceptable! Upon reading the reviews I noticed that I am not the only customer that finds that one particular cashier’s behavior repulsive. Management must non existent to be tolerable of such PR

oh my. I hate doing this, but honestly, this branch is absolutely terrible. The long, LONG lines move faster than my grandma, and whenever you order an ice drink, your cup is 98% ice. The workers here are not considerate of anyones time. They will make jokes, and run everywhere all confused. They dont care if you have class, they will make you wait…20 minutes for your drink. this place needs a better store manager.

With two of its best employee leaving for the new Gold Street store… the already long lines will get longer because not only are the new set of employees not«know your costumer friendly» … They are slow and are still very mistake prone. But … Its Starbucks and you endure it for the venti caramel macchiato.

Long lines or not you will wait a long time. Usually because they are busy socializing with each other. The quality of drinks suffer as a result. Twice I order a Mocha and it tastes ljke steamed milk with chocolate syrup. I ask for it to be made again and I wait again while they socialize.

People come to this Starbucks location expecting great service and quality but than they get {WHAMMEDINTHEFACE}. I’ve come to the location multiple times and each time I come service sort of sucks, Id say {DOUBLEWHAMMY} ! Sure, the drinks taste just as good as other Starbucks locations and so, but some of the staff are just miserable, especially one barista. I always look in the window from outside to see if the one awesome barista I know of is there before ordering if i’m not in a rush. Other times, I’ve been served drinks by a rude barista who’s a black woman(dont know her name, but shes really sort of obese, no offense to anyone). Once, I asked for milk and she sucked her teeth and threw/slid the jug across the counter at me. The BLEEEEPPP !!! Other times, she hands me my drink and walks away with an attitude. No matter how courteous I am to her and greet her, she’s bitchy towards me. DID I STEPONYOURTAILMAAM !!! Excuse you lady, but the only time I’m nasty to people is when I’m having a bad day. And your excuse is what? Just for the sake of being nasty? Are you a judgemental prick? Especially to customers ? Ayayayayayayyaya, nope. I’ll just take my feet and walk myself to the Starbucks at Court Street, where I’ll actually be TREATEDTHERIGHTWAY.

All I can saying… Worst customer services in this Starbucks I never seen… They should not hire someone that not willing to work during the rush hours. Who does working at Starbucks don’t know what is called *REDEYE* I also said blond roast with a shot… This sleepy guy working there still don’t know what the hack is that… He should go home and sleep more or he is not even qualify working at Starbucks at all…

The long lines aside, I came here and they told me they couldn’t give me tea because they were OUT of HOT water! What? How are you making coffee then?

Both times that I’ve come here, it was 8:30am and the line was out the door. During the the second visit, I decided to time myself … I was in and out of the place in 9 minutes. Definitely not bad considering I thought I would be in there for at least 20 minutes because of the line. They had 2 quick cashiers, 1 guy preparing the food, and about 3 – 4 people making the drinks. Cashiers greeted and smiled to each customer, they knew some by name. Barista that handed out the drinks thanked every customer. Definitely a good experience.

This Starbucks is connected to my school, NYU-Poly, so it’s very convenient. Be prepared to wait in a long line for your drink. This location is usually packed with tons of people every time I go. But, the staff members are so nice and helpful, so I always leave with a smile. My drinks are always well made and the restroom isn’t too bad. There is outdoor seating as well, a big plus.

I’m not sure if it was just a one/two-time thing or all the time, but this location of Starbucks was packed. The line is long, but it doesn’t take as long as you would expect. I don’t usually review Starbucks, but I definitely noticed the lack of customer service at this location. Cashiers arguing with each other, people throwing things around, and cashiers giving dirty looks to customers. This didn’t happen directly to me, but while waiting in line, I was observing these things happen. Perhaps this isn’t always the case, but for my experience, the vibe I caught was not so great. But let’s be real, these baristas are standing on their feet all day catering to these long lines so I’ll cut them some slack for being humans. That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be respectful towards people, though. My green tea lemonade(half sweet is perfect) was made to order and was refreshing as I would have expected.

You walk into a Starbucks expecting the same service you’d expect from any other coffee shop. The occasional long line, missing pastries, even a sassy barista. On a lucky day, maybe the barista has a cute butt you can stare at. *Cough Cough* Union Square Starbucks. *Cough Cough* Sunday Afternoon. And then some days you walk into this Starbucks. This place is notorious for it’s perpetual long lines. But that’s no biggie, I walked in knowing that. The line itself shouldn’t take any more than 10 minutes. The wait for the drink however. Actually, let me back it up(kind of how I wish that barista at Union Square would back that ass up onto me). It’s a Thursday evening & they run out of Venti cups. I didn’t really care but instead of offering me a venti sized drink in a larger cup, they just offered me a trenta. Actually, it wasn’t even an offer, the cashier just wrote my drink on the trenta cup, deciding for me that I was going to drink 30oz of Starbucks goodness. Whatever, I’m a man, I’ll live. But I’m waiting for the day they push that onto someone who does give a crap. Anywho, so far, so kinda good. I place my order at 5:30. Take a wild guess when I got my drink! 5:40? 5:45? No! I got my drink at 6:00. Yup, I waited half an hour for my drink to go to a lab class(that starts at 6:00 by the way) that doesn’t allow drinks. So, I’m late for a class & I don’t even get to enjoy my drink. Well, I did, but the professor doesn’t have to know that. The reason for this being, this location is severely understaffed during rush hour. There was only one worker manning the drinks station & obesity wasn’t exactly a stranger to her. Tired? That’s just dandy. You know what else is dandy? Doing your job. Why don’t we all just start taking our sweet ass time doing our jobs? Good drink though.

The quickest, most super efficient, and super friendly Starbucks I have ever been too. Considering how much business this location gets, the staff work very well together and they don’t slow down. They keep the line moving and they even have to time to have a quick friendly chat. The Starbucks staff, Nick was friendly and quick with my order.

Like I’ve said in my previous review, I come to this Starbucks about 3 – 4 days a week. I am a frequent customer of this particular Starbucks. Most of the staff is nice and accommodating. Unfortunately, I’ve recently experienced bad customer service from one of the baristas and have filed a complaint to Starbucks HQ personally about this. Last week, a barista took my order and gave me a piece of paper with my order on it to pass along to the cashier. I understand this is one of the busiest Starbucks and it may take a while for drinks to be ready and that’s fine. I waited for almost 15 – 20 minutes for my drink/name to be called at the bar. Everyone that was lined up before and after me got their drinks and that’s when I thought it was a little weird because I don’t think it takes that long to make an iced coffee with soy milk. I questioned one of the baristas. I told her that I have been waiting for my drink for a while now and she asked me «What drink did you have?» and I told her and she checked the cups and apparently my cup with my name wasn’t there. She rudely suggested to me that«Oh well maybe you should listen out for your name and some times other people may take your drink.» and I was so offended that she said that and I said«I was listening for my name and I’ve been here for 10 – 15 minutes the whole time.» She agreed to make my drink, but when she was… there was no more iced coffee and she just left my drink ¼ filled with soy milk under the dispenser and moved on to other drinks. I asked the barista, «How long do I have to wait for my drink?» and said«Honestly, I don’t know when we will have iced coffee.» At this point, I’m already pissed off but wasn’t going to leave without what I paid for and I asked her«So are you going to just let my drink sit there? Is there a way I can get another drink?» The coffee eventually came and I got my drink and since she ended up giving my drink, I said«Thank you», but got no response from her. I left Starbucks quite upset with the customer service. I’m not sure if I’ll be coming by this Starbucks more because of the fact that I received this rude customer service. Hopefully Starbucks will find a way to make me a happy customer again.

Above average Starbucks just for the outdoor seating alone. Right next to the Polytechnic Institute of New York University, and quite busy because of it. Decent Wi-Fi with enough range to use it outside. The only problem is that you will get rained on by air conditioners in the summer. But there’s enough seating that you can avoid it. Heck, sitting in the hot sun, you may welcome a nice spritz.
